I do my inventory twice a year due to Sales/returns and Ebay dropping listings. I also keep photos of the items until it sales. So I don't have to retake photos. quick relist, if not in my relisting app.

You have to sell what you love (much of the time) to keep spirits up in this reselling world. It is good for your soul! That Huxley book is BEAUTIFUL! I read BNW at 14. Bought a beat up PB from Froggies in Honolulu (sigh). It was pretty mind blowing. Not as crazy, terrifying and prescient as 1984 (which I read in 1984...I waited) but still....here we are, kinda! LOVED this very informative video. 😻📖

I'm so glad you've switched to paid shipping on books. I like doing flat shipping for books and other media, $4.99, $5.99, etc. and then setting a shipping discount where each additional item is an extra $2. The idea of free shipping just freaks me out for some reason. About 40k. The most recent news is that it's officially happening, but timing will be a while as you noted. I won't wait for it to be released before listing my 40k books, but my book deathpile is huge so I'll push them to the end.

I have free shipping on Ebay. I'm thinking about changing to charged shipping as you have on some of these; it seems like buyers struggle with the math that an item costs more with free shipping but possibly less in total. Might be worth a shot.

Question, can you try selling the older inventory items that are not selling on a WhatNot day? As in the items that were inventoried before the WN shows happened? Maybe as a one last chance to sell them before you get rid of them?

There was still a Papagallo store on the upper east side in nyc when I lived there early 2000’s 😉.

I hear a lot of people say they find unlisted items on older inventory. Dropped of eBay or something... at 15,601 listings atm I think I just will have to start with one postcard box and slowly move through them all all year and the start again every new year. 🤕

Glad you’re starting to feel better. I know staring at a camera it’s hard to know the impact your videos can make, but I always enjoy them because you’re one of the most relatable people on TH-cam to me. Not just the reselling thing, but the nerdy stuff, being into books, music, that kinda stuff. Also, I’ve had my struggles with depression, and at age 50 I’ve figured out I likely have ADHD and probably on the spectrum, just like you, and I’m having to reconcile how not knowing that until now has left my life where it is now, and trying learn to make my brain work for me going forward. I was one of those classic ADHD people that started life being labeled “gifted” and told how smart I was, took advanced classes, etc…and then hit my teenage years and things went astray and I’m still trying to do something with myself. So just know there’s people like me out here that appreciate being candid with your struggles because I relate all too well.

My new thing is freaking out inside crowded stores, had to leave both Walmart and hobby lobby during this Christmas shopping season. Hope you are doing better in 2025.
