見たかった試合です！ 銃剣道のリーチは短いですが、その分隙がなく、直線的で扱いやすそうです 対して薙刀はリーチは長いですが、武器の特性上、大きく振らないと切れないので扱いが難しそうです 両選手ともに素晴らしい試合でした

Both competitors are excellent! A really fun match. The jukendo techniques are applicable to a jo length stick. Seems great for self-defense.

Looks like tankedo is not as limited as kendo because you can block and close the distance and then make an armlock and stab. The person using kendo needs to keep the distance a lot more.

So when you have something of a crossover match like this, do both players have the same options for striking? For instance, would it be appropriate for the kendoka to thrust do? I was wondering this for the naginata/kendo match as well. Would it be inappropriate for the kendoka to strike the legs in that matchup?
