😂 yeah no. 😂
Great video, covers a lot of the things us rookies should learn. I just made the neck mistake during a melee, thankfully the fighter was OK.
Thank you for watching!
where are new videos man?
There won't be any new videos on this channel unfortunately. But If you follow Timothy Hines he is the videographer and posts to his channel now. 🙏

😂 facts! He was always a crowd favorite!!!
I been watching vids for like 6 months now and i have a buddy who let me wear his gear. Im a pretty athletic guy lift 100lbs all day and did two tours in the Army. Cant understate the stamina aspect. It reminds me of being in Full kit in the army carrying a 249 except you have to move faster, swing weapons and have the claustraphobic affect of the helm retricting oxegen intake. I only played around with it for about 10 minutes but i went as hard as i could. I was shit whipped and sore the next day. So will i be searching for armour probably not but its definetly become one of my favorite sports. Guess all the years i spent working renn fair as a teen stuck with me.
That's awesome! Yeah I've armored up all kinds of people from all kinds of other sports, martial arts, military, and it's definitely unique! There aren't a lot of things that compare

Personally I wouldn't fight in a low list as im more concerned about falling over it and breaking my neck than 7ft mountain man with a two hander 😅
I've gone over it, under it, around it. Never had that problem. Unless your armor doesn't fit you almost ALMOST can't break your neck. You can piss off the muscles in it, but a break is highly unlikely
This is badass, yall are badass!

from what i understand, if you need to survive literally anything, anywhere, anytime, any realm, live in a suit of armour *excluding heat exhaustion and dehydration*
This was really informative and shows your passion for this! Top notch!!! Great Watch
Thanks buddy 😁
why not just use very pointy spears and shields?
Is there a certain rule for brigandine colors when it comes to combat? Is bright colors too distracting? Makes you a easy to identify target? I'm planning on getting a tri colored brigandine.
Depends on the league
I enjoyed watching this :-)
😂
Thank you for the safety video about technique... Dang thank goodness, I only got my back twisted in a full nelson. To be honest the world needs more caution, as well as sports. Specifically awesome Steel Fighting sport, I can dream can't I?

😂😂😂 amazing
If a person with a plate chest on the back is pulled backwards with a two-handed weapon or is choked, the spine may be subjected to a point load at one point, the neck protector/rim of the plate chest, which could actually cause the vertebrae to dislocate (neck fracture). To me it seem that isn't really taken into account in the usual armored wrestling actions at the side fences. I guess that's the case until these days because nothing really serious has happened yet. But I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before the first wheelchair user will appear in the outcome of this potential issue. --- Aside from the fact that this armored wrestling isn't very "pretty" to look at, I personally think that's the only really potentially dangerous aspect of Buhurt, especially if while the neck is bent backwards, a third person jumps into such wrestling situation. That might do the worst outcome take place within a single second. Accordingly, I hope that in the future this helmet / neck bending will simply be prohibited by rules! But that is just my 2 cents ...
Maybe they will but I doubt It. Nobody follows their own leagues rules anyway. And they change the rules every year. Can't make up their minds between safety and historical accuracy. It's just stupid. But at the end of the day you sign a death waiver. You know the risks you're taking.
With Logan and Andrew wearing similar armor, it looks like Logan is a father teaching his son how to fight, he's this sports father figure
Too bad he doesn't know how to fight 😂
There was a moment where Kaley(?) was lumberjacking the other person... should have (ignored the marshal) kept at it. Nothing wrong with getting those points all from the leg if the opponent isn't good at defending low....
What's the timestamp? Because we don't allow gaps. She may have been gapping. Or just wasting energy on useless hits like many people that don't know to strike or place shots
@@vordermark89 sorry, genuinely didn't mean to offend (If I did). Nothing but respect for the people involved. Fair to say these are adapted rules here (no less awesome of valid at all for that!!) so I'll retract my comment as I don't know how you're scoring things.

@@vordermark89 Respect. I worded all of that poorly. I guess I just felt your fighter was kicking some arse and doing a great job (and obviously some 1st rate organising, training and support going on here!) I should have just said that and shut up!

Hi I've just discovered your channel. I've liked this video, good quality, very visual and interesting advice. Here in France most béhourd (buhurt) channels are good, but focus on bragging about their combat capacities, it's rare to find training and tutorial videos !
Awesome video. Good action and lots of fun to watch.
What camera + gear are you using for this? Looks nice!
i dont know the winner, the big dude, damn i would not want to fight against him! all those fast strikes are nice, but i guess no dammage... lets find out who will win
We love Logan around these parts. Can't wait to tangle with him again.
Then you're one of like 5 people 😂 glad at least someone had a good experience with him.
profight用小盾牌太吃亏了
这么低的栏杆,人容易摔得翻出去,故意这样弄的吧😂😂😂

Where did you get your sword?
Piotr zacharski made the blade and I made the handle assembly
What is the scoring criteria for this? I am seeing a lot of slashes with swords that do nothing to plate and is essentially just a waste of time compared to stabbing at the gaps and grappling. Even if we consider the effect on the fighters themselves like in MMA, nothing is happening essentially so cutting is a total waste of time. The axe fights were fine though.
Thrusting is illegal in the sport. It's already dangerous. Plus the weapons are blunted.
@@vordermark89 I see, we thrust all the time in HEMA so I was surprised. Nice axe work though but I see the one guy was going too far as I am told it was a demo. A shame. And yeah, I know you guys won’t be cutting with sharp edges. I was just pointing out that cuts even if they are edged won’t cut plate so I was wondering if those scored.
@@Subutai_Khan so the premise of our sport rules are based off of 14th century tournament rules. They did not thrust either unless the head of the tournament set that as a rule. Their tournaments were meant as a morale building exersize and practice for war. A lot of times they used clubs or whale jawbones instead of actual weapons. Hema is a martial art, this is just a medieval based sport.
@@vordermark89 I see, thanks! I was just curious how this worked. Not intending to judge. It looks like good fun in its own right.
@@Subutai_Khan no of course!!! I've fought with plenty of hema, SCA, LARPers, boffer guys. Each has its merit and benefits from a training standpoint.
Mighty mouse hell yeah
Fighting against Logan must be demotivating, that's both a compliment and a correction lol
It's only hard if you're new and half his size. Which is 75% of the people in this video.
The armor looks GOOD
Our hodgepodge armor 😂 i made most of it. It's decent
2:31 yooo is that MrBeast?
Is that a scimitar that’s been bastardized? Sorry to be ignorant, I’ve just never seen a sword look quite like that. I’m a little jealous to be honest.
It's called a 2 handed falchion. But yes very similar to a scimitar. It's basically the western European version of the scimitar. They're very common in the 1500s manuscripts
I imagine this as a instructional tape from medieval times teaching recruit soldiers
Legs arnt the best options to go for in most bouts especially against a taller opponent.
Are you a troll bro? Because judging by your comments you're either noob with almost no experience or you do SCA or some shit and don't know the difference between armored combat (which is a sport) and medieval combat which are quite different.
This Definitely has me curious I've done SCA and hema for awhile. And I see this full heavy armor full contact fighting. I do full contact but out weapons are synthetic not as heavy as steel but they still hurt. But damn lol this is tense!
Most of the well made weapons weight half as much as sca weapons.
@@vordermark89 I should clarify I don't have any Sca weapons my self. Only the lighter synthetic hema ones. At SCA evens I borrow a friends since I don't like there's as much. I'm about to switch to steel now that I have full Armor.
