Thank you!! I’m also just learning how to cook but it’s been a fun process - I’m glad you enjoy those clips. I’m honestly pretty proud of how the thesis turned out! Hoping I can make it available to the public someday!

Oh, those Wednesday vegetables looked so good! How did that pasta dish turn out? What's the story with "The Office" poster in the bookshelf? Is that autographed? I've not read much Plato (not since I was a teenager, at least). I am more of an Aristotle guy, but I would like to read "The Symposium." I enjoyed your description of Proust.
it was just a vegetable noodle stir fry, but it turned out so good! the office poster is actually a photocopy of a signed script of the pilot! it was a christmas gift to my partner who's a huge fan haha. i'm also much more of an aristotle person than plato, so i'm with you there :-) thanks for watching!

I loved this video and your channel graphics in the beginning! You're so well-spoken and insightful. Since you said you liked Dead Poet's Society, I would recommend Kill Your Darlings. It's set in the 40s and it's about the Beat poets Allen Ginsberg, Lucien Carr, William Burroughs, and Jack Kerouac. It's definitely dark academia too :)

Notre dame cathédral 😍 so sad what happened to it :( Have u read Notre dame de Paris? Apparently Victor Hugo wrote it to point toward the architectural significance of Notre dame. So cool. Hahaha and I love the reason behind why you love that painting. It’s completely true. Unless you’re like a celebrity or something, the truth is u don’t matter so most ppl really wouldn’t care, like you’re not that important so u just do u girl HAHAHAH love it I’m so bad at mandarin even though I should probably be good at it 😂 I really wanna learn Korean too, tho I am learning French in school rn... by choice... hahaha

I forgot to mention, but I also love the painting because I love the poems that have been written about it by Auden and Williams. I think The Secret History by Donna Tartt is the book people usually point to as a good start. Otherwise, if you're looking for some good books that are simply dark, I would of course recommend The Picture of Dorian Gray. I think one day I'd like to make a video recommending more Dark Academia esque books!
