Second attempt. The video is from the same source as the previous one and the audio is from a show in Chicago, date unknown. Except for the "singing" part at the start of the song that I had to cut in order for the new audio to fit, the arrangement is pretty much the same, which leads to believe that the show was around the time the video was recorded - plus it was much easier to "sync"!
Trip Shakespeare - Fireball Live

First attempt at syncing. The video is from the 1991 Appleton show and the audio from a 1990 show at The Cabooze, Minneapolis. Not the best matching pair but some parts are still good. I'll try to do the rest of them.

FINALLY! A DECENT TIME! Checking out the comment from my previous PB, this was definitely my second finished run, and most likely the last one, because getting a better run than this is very hard (for me, of course). Things I improved from the previous one: 1) Made the Farah-cutscene skip zip consistent. 2) "Made" the Pre-Warehouse consistent. 3) Made the zoo consistent. Things I changed (?) fr...

    This is so great. I'm a huge fan. I was at Lawrence at this time but away on at a tennis meet. My girlfriend at the time recorded it and I still have it on a mini-casette. This is the first time I've actually "seen" what I missed. Incredible to have this recording!!! Thank you. They are one of the greatest, underated bands of all time. Fortunately, I was able to see them live many times in Minneapolis.

    I got into Trip almost one year after this show. By that time, they were done. I would’ve given just about anything to have been there in Appleton to have seen this. Trip was sorely overlooked and, though Semisonic later became popular with “Closing Time,” the majority of Semisonic’s work simply doesn’t stand up to Trip’s. Thank you for sharing this especially for those who never had the pleasure of seeing them live!

    Trip Shakespeare was the soundtrack to my college days at Iowa State. I saw them for the first time at The Maintenance Shop in February of 1987 and never missed an opportunity to see them after that, including their final show at the Cabooze in Minneapolis on 5/22/1993. Matt still plays in Minneapolis a lot, still a damn good songwriter.

Northwestern '91-'95, they headlined our Dillo Day (Spring Fling) freshman year and a quintessential musical experience of my college years. Came to TH-cam tonight in search of live version of Look at the Moon, and it all comes back. I would move mountains for a reunion show with these guys, and the people who were with me at the time!

    Phantom Limb is such a beautiful sounding song,.. I never knew what the lyrics were about (googled it: two lesbians in a small town school... wtf, never would've guessed that), but the line/s "so, when they tap my/our Sunday/Monday head(s), two zombies walk in our stead" always made me shiver. One of the best Pop-songs ever written to me, and I am very thankful for the hours of joy, cheer and comfort this song has spend me.

    Hey to everyone that is here

  • @1goodoldbill
    @1goodoldbill 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey - I taped this! It was during an annual event at Lawrence University called "Celebrate" or maybe "Celebration". Usually for this event they had the bands set-up at the base of a hill full of people with the Fox River behind them, but it had been raining a lot and the hill was too muddy. This stage arrangement was hastily set-up as an alternate location in a square between a trio of dorm buildings. When Matt says "We thought we were going to play in front of a majestic hill" that is what he is talking about. I was 18 years old with a Panasonic VHS camcorder. This was my first concert in the sense that I had listened to the music over and over but had no real idea what they looked like or who was singing. I was too young and naive to think there was going to an issue with me standing directly in front of John right up against the stage with a giant camcorder. My older friends who were on the Lawrence radio station were very supportive about me standing right up front. Too bad the audio got blown out by being so close to the PA. The girl who keeps screaming is my girlfriend at the time Erica who introduced me to the band. Now I run a music venue...go figure. It was a great show. I think Fireball is the best part.

    • @braulioacosta6816
      @braulioacosta6816 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a lot for recording it! Honestly I didn't think much of "Fireball" until I set myself to sync this video with another audio. It's one of the highlights from Applehead Man for me now.
