Also my pipe is lock in arrow direction what I am doing wrong sir thankss
Hi sir I am unable to get my first thread on pipe with die pipe . What am I doing wrong
This is a gas pipe. If its galvanized do you put plumbers dope 1st and then plumbers tape before inserting into elbow?
Thanks Greg appreciate the content you put out there! You help more people than you realize, cheers!
Great video, clarified issues I was having right before the exam.
Need a practice exam paper , can we get from CSA ?
Very good info
How you can size E = 1-1/2" ? it's not in the path of longest run, please refer National Fuel Gas Code NFPA-54 section 6.1.1 & 6.1.2. The size of E should be 1-1/4" this is what code says. @Greg Taylor
does the lmr includde the low pressure system too?
Hey !! Can you please do one for chimney liners !! And using the C1-C10 tables please !!!
Great Video sir. Well explained
Could you make a video on Pipe sizing with Branch runs ? I had branch runs on my g3 exam but never was showed it at Durham College.....
Clear explanation of gas piping lay out on btu's
Glad you liked it
Is high pressure gas piping included on the gas 3 exam?
yes, g2 and g3, if you practice this exercise, you will do fine,
No it's not only low pressure
@@kevin-lw9mythere is definitely some high pressure bud, we literally learned it for our g3
@@Seabass1206 that's crazy I didn't learn high pressure till g2
Hey greg ! excellet video. Im a student at Durham college writing my g3 in 2 weeks time. Could you do a video on the procedures for wiring a T-stat ? Even a video on electricity would be great. They showed us very little on this stuff and never bothered to revisit it after one class.
More g2 stuff , won’t see that on the g3
Thank you sir… very good explanation
perfect! got any info on the g2 examination? going over the manuals right now
Hey Garg missed you a lot. Please post more videos for G3 license.
got a video on combustion sizing and venting?
Just loading combustion and ventilation air sizing video now
Hey Greg this is a great video . Can you also make a video on duct sizing ? Thank you
good video thanks
Always helpful 😊😊🙏🙏
Great video, thanks for sharing 👍
Made sense to me (which isn't easy). Good job.
thank you greg for making this video i am in need of a passing grade will do anything this is taylor i will do ANYTHING 🍑🍑🍑🍑🍆🍆🍆🍆🍆
thnks
Very well taught. Thank you so much
75000 divide by presume 1000 btu per hrs = sq feet btu/hrs, so furthest furnace = 75 sq ft per hrs, need 1/2 " size metallic pipe.
How far from the regulator is the furnace???
I’m so confused I have a imperial and metric tape and the first inch and last inch of the foot aren’t 25.4mm for example the 5ft to 5ft1 is about 10mm difference and the the 5.11-6ft difference makes up that difference with an excess of like 15mm a bit mind boggled I can’t imagine the tape measure to be inaccurate and I missing out on something
Could you make a lesson on High pressure pipe sizing? that would be awesome.
Thank you for this! Your videos are great! 💪🏿🙏🏿
hello greg how can get updates for codes later after installing the pages... suppose they update a new code after 6 months and how can i come to know about the update... can you do a video how to do it online
Refer to TSSA website for Code updates, new Codes come out every 5 years, so each Tech requires a new Code book, 2025 will be the next code
Yep, I told one of my apprentices that we size it backwards and he gave me a deer in the headlights stare. LOL
I size from either direction, most Instructors start at the far end so I usually teach it this way to minimize confusion
Love ur videos, I got my g3 exam in a couple weeks and ur videos are helping me remember alot of stuff from class
can i study online????
no this program is taught in class
what is the name of this class or course????
Lambton College HVAC Program, Sarnia, Ontario
Where can I find those tables?
CSA B149.1-20 Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code Book in Canada
Thank you Sir. But I am not understand how I find the table ? I have problem for finding the tables. Thanks
THANK YOU DUDE!!!!!!!!
Greg, once again, thank you very much for your teaching.
Thank you so much,Greg. Your teachching is very helpful.
Tube Bender
No one ever explains the pressure drop. How do you know what the pressure drop is?
You measure the pressure drop, or use the correct tables to hopefully size pipe and tube systems to not exceed allowable pressure drop
need to account for tees and elbows
Not if supply pressure is below 2 PSI, our tables have fittings included if below 2 PSI
Good work man
If there are 2 regulators, do you use the longest run from the second regulator or still measure from the meter?
Hey Greg do you have a video clip to show how to navigate thru codebook B149,1-20 thanks
Thank you so much for recording and publishing this lecture. I’m representing a client in the purchase of a new construction home and this serves helpful in estimating the cost requirement for outfitting a home for natural gas.
Hey Greg great video…I just started my G3 ,but I’m struggling with navigating my code book …any help would be greatly appreciated.
did you get any help?
@@natehuncho1987 not really, but I’m gradually figuring it out.. Now working on my G2…Tssa exam is next month ,so I’m studying for that. Thanks
