I make questionable NoLimits 2 roller coasters. That's about it.
Minotaur POV | Intamin LSM Launch Coaster | INVERS10N Contest | NoLimits 2
I have finally returned for another NoLimits 2 contest! I am proud to present Minotaur, a fast paced Intamin LSM launch coaster designed for the INVERS10N contest. In this contest, contestants were tasked with creating a coaster with at least 10 track inversions. The ride also features two interlocking elements including the world's first interlocking zero-g rolls.
For the full rules, guidelines, and back story for the contest see this document:

Seriously, I'm baffled that there's no coasters named Minotaur everywhere.
Me too. Feels like it would be a cool name. I’m also baffled that there are dozens of roller coasters named Goliath, but not a single one themed to David.
great job, it rides really good
that little bump of airtime after the roll at 0:57 is magical
you can tell this is inspired by IDesign, but nontheless it is very well done. Great work!
In my personal opinion, if you eliminated the midcourse break run with something like a double down or a sustained floater hill like on Orion, then this would EASILY be the single greatest B&M ever. I personally think midcourse breaks kill the ride. Not just this ride but every ride. I’ve ridden steel vengeance at cedar point and my biggest complaint with it was the midcourse.
Thanks for not skipping the lift
Cool paint job
the fact that even this would be shit on by falcons flight
this is way better than fury, and not just becasue it bigger but the elements are way cooler like the over-bank speed hill at 1:13 would push your soul away from your body for those 2 seconds. The portion after the mid-course brakes is a bit too long imo, but w.e, everything else is a beauty.
Thank you for loving this ride as much as I do. I’ll admit 9500+ feet of track might be just a tiny bit excessive 😆
Pacing is mental. I don't agree with the inversion on this one purely because of the destination park. Carowinds desperately needs a GOOD traditional woodie and is packed with inversion coasters. Great coaster though for sure. I presume this is a gravity group?
Yes it’s absolutely a Gravity Group! Interesting take about the inversion but it makes total sense and I didn’t even think about that when designing it. I came at it from more of a marketing and promotion appeal but looking at the lineup at Carowinds it makes sense to go the no inversion route. Love that you pointed that out!
Absolutely elite coaster. This is impeccable with pacing, elements and airtime. I've been watching your coasters in reverse chronological order, this is the third I have watched so far and the other two were fantastic but this one is even better, and I didn't expect to like it that much as I thought the drop was average. But this was a sleeper, you tricked us LOL. If I'm ever a multi billionaire and achieve my dream of opening a thrill park, I'll be asking you to allow me to build this one for real.
Thank you for going through my portfolio and I’m so glad you loved this one the most! It was easily the most grueling project I’ve ever done. Trying to pack in a world class layout with so many restrictions was super challenging and yes I’ll absolutely build this if get enough money haha.
@@justingould3445 I was wrong, I was watching it lying in bed with laptop propped up above eye level beforehand and I got deceived, now that I am watching it in a correct viewing position at the correct angle, the first drop is actually pretty good, and the rest of the coaster is even better than what I thought before. I don't know what the constraints were or if this was for a competition, but it's good no matter what the situation was. It's just a damn good coaster. There used to be this site that would have a fantastic review and grading system for NL coasters and I was a gold member there cause I reviewed so many, and I am telling you I would have given this one a perfect score. I wish that site still existed, and we could ride the coasters in NL ourselves as the files were provided with every coaster. So I would do back seat rides as well as front. I'd do middle too if I really liked it and wanted to get a complete feel of the ride. I hope you consider adding back row POV to your videos in future. Just to finish off, the way you have added drops in the most unexpected places with this, and all that high G same direction left hand turning after the first inversion followed by insane ejector, it's just awesome. I also like that clever little inversion you popped in at the end of that long left turn, followed by delicious high speed airtime hill. That inversion sort of seemed like the apex of an inverted top hat? (not the first two inversions but those follow into a long ass high G left turn, and before that finishes you sneak in a quick inversion there). This has a lot of sideways air time as well. I would love to be able to ride this in NL2 and see the G's........ Where? I would LOVE this for Knotts more than anywhere else as far as existing parks. Knotts just doesn't have a class sit down multi looper airtime machine. Silver Bullet has that lame drop and is an invert but it IS fun, don't get me wrong, but it's strictly an invert machine (ok the helix is good), Hangtime was a let down and nothing after first drop, Xcellerator is short but sweet but really only half a coaster, as after the top hat it is literally is dead track for half the ride through those long turns, so weird, Ghost Rider is still the star there, and honestly, this and Ghost Rider would be an incredible 1-2 punch. It would also work very well at Kings Island. In Europe I would want this at Europa Park or Phantasialand. I have watched so many coasters on here and I have always tended to watch channels with big sub numbers and uploads and I learned my lesson today, quality is what matters. This is getting me pumped up for my 7 week coaster trek across America from July 20 through Sept 07 :) I'll be renting a car the entire time and go from west to east then north east then back west then do all the mid west areas. Will do all the CA parks last even though I land there from Australia, cause they are open year round. If I had it my way I'd fo Florida right at the end too but there's no way around it unless I go straight to midwest then north then east then south to Florida. Maybe. That's the beauty of the car, will just do it as I go and stay in cheap ass motels. No bookings other than main flight and car, just go with the flow. And if anyone got this far in the comment and thinks "how the heck is this guy going for 7 weeks, doesn't he work", I turned 50 this year and have 3 months long service leave which is how it works in OZ after a certain amount of years, so I am treating myself. It's my last big coaster trip, probably ever. Next year my standard one month annual leave in Europe, then in2025 I will do 2 weeks in US again (Epic Universe) and 2 weeks in Japan, then I think I'm going to call it a day. I have done 620 coasters now and my goal is to hit that 1000, it's always been a life goal and I'll do it by end of 2025 :)
The first drop and drop off the MCBR in the back seat would have insane ejector. I like how the first half was all about speed, but still with some airtime, then the second half was purely about airtime hills. I would be thrilled to see B&M build this one.
That stall was a real surprise and perfect being low to the ground. Very good coaster.
the first half is similar to Fury 325
amaze
The first half is basically just Fury325, Treble Clef and everything 😅
That was my main inspiration for the first half but also trying to go outside the box with the wave turn and the weird twist-treble-clef-half-ampersand thing.
@@justingould3445 I love it 🥰
Interesting but I like how you have a mid course break run but b&m with gigas usually put a bit of extra brakes to act as a midcourse break run right before final brake run and the strata concept is interesting with b&m
Thank you for pointing that out! I actually decided to include a mid course because with the default dispatch interval a train would block check at the top of the lift so adding a mid course and the extra long giga break run not only makes the interval faster but also allows this ride to run with 4 trains.
@@justingould3445 Ah I see makes sense since its a bigger ride.
There's just something I like about double zero G rolls.
They always flow so well!
very good
nice coaster, did you use fvd to design it?
This is ace.
one of the best nl2 coasters i’ve ever seen and i’ve been on yt for like 6 years. wow.. just wow. incredible layout, pacing, and track shaping. great job.
Such beauty, along with the sound of it coasting throughout the course.
I'd really love to see a replacement concept use the old river rapids trough to cool effect - like Afterburn's trenches
Ooh that’s an interesting idea! I may make other versions of this concept for different manufacturers so I’ll definitely take that idea into account!
dudeee this is fireeee 100%% can you do VF invert concept.. in the dinos plot of land.. i know you can rock it out.. im thinking something old school invert.. not new gen.. something like talon/ afterburn. i can only imagine. what you come up with. if you built this.. this is amazing.. keep up the amazing work... you rock!!! :) :) :)
Thank you so much! That is definitely something I can work on! However, it may take a while due to school but definitely watch out for that in the future!
Is it just me or is the background music from Rollercoaster tycoon game? lol
Not just you; it's Rock Style 2, baby!
One of the coolest coasters I've seen in a while, excellent work!
I really like this coaster the layout is so smooth and beautifully designed, I especially liked the first part since It felt so rapid and fun. Great work keep going 👍🏽😌
This one is surprisingly good! Some sequences are lovely. Well done m8
Very creative men!
What coaster type are you using? Is it a custom coaster type?
The new gen track is a mod available in the NL2 Discord and the trains are made by JBSCoasters! New gen trains: nolimitscentral.com/exchange/park/1839
