Learning Boxcutter Without a Cork! (Tips + Progression)
Just a short video detailing how I modified my completely upright swing 10 into a boxcutter. At the time, I was scared to throw a cork without a mat so I had to use this progression instead.
The main advantage of this progression is that you get comfortable controlling different axes of inversion swinging off of one leg, which can be helpful for other cork variations down the line.
That being said, if you have a solid cork it's much easier to progress via cork hyper in my opinion.

Martial Arts Tricking Progression 2023

Just having fun training at Loopkicks with friends and throwing tricks wherever I can. Mostly clips from the second half of 2023 as I already have the first half covered in other videos. Some tricks didn't make the video since I got rid of the clips (I wasn't satisfied with the quality). Don't delete your clips! I ended up re-learning the b-twist the way I did here in my short tutorial: th-cam.com/users/shorts7NeTN5KgCeo Let me know if you want a full in-depth tutorial on this method, or on some other trick that I can do. Learn Cheat Gainer FAST Without a Backflip! The No Fear Method
Turn a round kick into a cheat gainer/gainer flash/kick the moon without any prior flipping experience. This is a relatively safe progression that can be done outside without any mats. Training on grass forces you to always stay in control and gives you confidence that you can throw the trick almost anywhere. This is the first flip I learned when I started tricking on grass in 2020. If I had th...
Just Getting Started - Tricking Training 2023

Recently I've been training pretty frequently and feel like this is the year for massive gains. I rarely combo so will focus more on that this year and hopefully have clips for a legit sampler :) Stay t...

      @@sahityakumar8098 it's a huge mental block I had for sure. Practice the earlier progression jumping off two legs while tensing the entire body. This will help you keep your axis when later twisting off one leg, which should slowly help get rid of the fear. Slowly press less and less off the back leg until you barely use it anymore. Then you know you are ready. And use soft surfaces / mats if possible. Best of luck 🤞

    • @linversion

      Practicing a really high and floaty tornado kick should help a lot with the height needed for the 540. Coordinating the arm swing and keeping tension through your whole body is the difference between the 1st clip (flailing like a wet noodle) and the second one, which is much more fluid.

    • @mastergamerbd5296

      @@linversion Thanks a lot. But how can I get high and floaty? Or jump higher?

    • @linversion

      Practice tornado without the kick, focusing on a smooth arm swing, spin and pivot jump. Record yourself and use the second clip for reference. You can practice single leg jumps as well.

      Focus on pushing your hips up and out and keeping a line with your swing leg and chest. Also try to gradually look more for the sky before spotting the ground. This requires a lot more power so it will take time. Keep practicing and you'll get it :)

    • @linversion
      @linversion 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The way I'm doing 540 is not very strong (more crescent than round kick). You could modify the technique slightly to optimize for hitting a target. That being said, it would be tough to break bricks with a 540 kick. I'm not aware of any videos out there.

    What injury did you have? How long did it take to heal and what rehab did you do? Why did the doctor say you should give up this sport (considering you're so young and able to recover well)? Backflip training fucked up both my ankles. It's just too much pressure and impact when landing if I don't make it around properly. Awesome progression video and congratz to your well deserved trick, I admire your courage and dedication to just go out on the grass by yourself!

    • @linversion
      @linversion ปีที่แล้ว

      A bit of a weird injury - I've had an osteochondroma (benign bone tumor) on my right leg since I was a kid. One time I landed and felt a crack and lots of pain on the outside of my knee. Doctor said it was inflammation of the extra bone rubbing against nearby tendons, and that I should avoid high-impact, repetitive stress sports altogether. Even though it got a little better with rest in the short term, I was scared to put weight on the leg and essentially limped around for a couple of months until I finally decided to get it removed. I was back to throwing light tricks in about 2.5 months after the surgery. Rehab was simple leg strengthening as my right leg was noticeably atrophied. Even now, there is still pain if I go too hard. My right leg is not back up to full strength since I've not been consistent with leg day. Yeah backflips are a ton of landing impact. I've been backflipping for a year and the impact is still extremely noticeable since my technique is not perfect. Thanks for the support!

    Amigo hasta que altura puedes saltar en vertical con los dos pies? Tú que eres acróbata que rutina de ejercicios recomiendas para saltar más alto en vertical con los dos pies?

    • @linversion
      @linversion ปีที่แล้ว

      Around 2 feet. Tricking alone should help increase your vertical a bit. Squats and hex bar deadlifts are great as well. You don't really need an insane vertical to trick - the body position from the kicks and flips simply give the illusion that you are jumping really high.

  • @luiscerna4055
