sp01 - Keeping the audio clean
Gold detecting is all about the audio. If you don't hear it, you won't be digging it up. So having a clean audio signal path is critical to get the best out of your detector. Watch the video for some basic maintenance tips on your sP01 enhancer, to keep that detector audio humming, and to get the best results from your enhancer.

      Hi, the Gold Hawk series is for the GPX6000, and the Gold Extreme is for the SDC2300. I think both machines are sensitive enough to small gold with their stock coils, so the reason to go smaller is more for ease of pin-pointing and working scrubby or rocky terrains.

    • @diggingwithphasetech
      @diggingwithphasetech หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 12" NF will get very close, but the 6 will probably still have the sharper signal on the very small bits. But the GPZ will still punch deeper on larger targets. Yes you can add a CTX battery, but bear in mind you may only get around 3-4 hrs run time, so you'd probably need two.

    Good honest vid Nenad. I’ve seen and read a lot of info regarding auto+ no threshold vs manual (with threshold), but there is no mention of volume. You can’t run manual sensitivity with max volume, BUT you can with no threshold. I run auto+ (no threshold) with detector volume max and avantree torus neck speaker on max and it’s unbelievable what depth I have got when working a patch. Of course a lot comes into play from day to day emi, high mineralisation, your hearing etc. I have found a .4 at 11” and then a .1 at 9”!!!measured by taking out around an inch of dirt at a time. Even turning the detector volume down one notch and I would lose the signal which was only heard sweeping the coil in one direction only, and would balance out after 2-3 sweeps. Ground balance and the signal is there again. Just a very tiny repeatable chirp. You cannot compare a target with manual sensitivity and auto+ with the same volume. Auto+ (no threshold) has to have max volume on detector and external speaker. I use avantree torus speaker on max volume so I don’t know how it works with anything else. It doesn’t work just with detector speaker. I continue sometimes running manual on targets and have yet found nothing that that auto+ doesn’t pick up easily. Try it

      The 7000 has a few benefits. 1. More control over the audio. 2. Ground balance options, i.e. you can switch the auto tracking off. 3. Concealed coil cable. 4. More depth on larger nuggets. 5. Can handle highly mineralised and high salt ground with a few settings changes, with the 6000 you may have to swap to the 14" DD coil. 6. Normal ground type setting gives a greater boost in performance compared to Normal on the 6000.

      Nothing comprehensive about it. You just press the pin-point button. Just need to be mindful that pin-point is a non-motion mode, so the threshold can drift. If that happens press the pin-point button again. You can have a play with it at home to familiarize yourself. Use a small coil and drop sensitivity really low, and it should be stable enough.

    With the Algo, were you on ultra fine or fine gold? I think the Algo is pretty good. It’s not going to break new ground over the 6000 though. I think for the price it’s well worth its money. There is a bit of bullshit being said by resellers of its depth capabilities though. You have tested, I have tested and we are getting similar results. Then someone will like double the depth that we are seeing and done, new users want to believe that, as you would. Be honest guys.

    • @diggingwithphasetech
      @diggingwithphasetech 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ultra Fine. Depth is a tricky one, as there's so many variables. I'll let people do their own testing on that or let the videos do the talking.

    • @goldfools5445
      @goldfools5445 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@diggingwithphasetech people can’t do their own testing prior to purchasing. That’s why we need to show the reality of what is the likely expectation. Of course, different ground, different coils will bring in variables. But a reseller saying to a potential buyer, it can detect to 500mm. .

    • @diggingwithphasetech

      Honesty is everything in this industry. With a 15 or 16" NF, I can air test an aussie 5c at 33 cm. Lightness, ground handling, sensitivity, adjustability and price are its strong points.

    Which coil is better on nugget finder. An ellipse or a round one. In depth and for small targets. Which one is more versatile

    • @diggingwithphasetech
      @diggingwithphasetech 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Round of equivalent size will always go deeper on larger targets. An elliptical has better sensitivity, and signal on deeper targets can be a little sharper, just maximum depth potential drops off a little quicker. I prefer the 17x13" for all-round use, and the 15" round when I'm going over a patch.
