Is it also compatible with the Scion iA in 2016?
I would love to do the same conversation to my Silverado extended cab. I would then remove the rear seat for more tool storage.
Good job!! I was able to swap a center seat with the fold down back rest from an 08 into my 07 Silverado classic. If the subwoofer ends up being a bother just extend your wires to the cargo area. Nice suburban you have there
SWEET, very cool video. Can't wait to see more.
I like this project!
I should have a full disclosure part where I tell everyone I got the seat from off your front porch!
Do you know what headers are being used. Im having a hard time finding them with cj ports
I'm also a Crewcab DRW squarebody owner. Was planning on putting the Sniper on my 454 sounds like in the end Holley stood by their product and made it right. I should order that TB.
Would love to see more driving of this truck off possible
What headers are being used?
I don't know the answer to that. The owner didn't tell me the brand name. I can ask next time I talk to him.
@@kptautomotive1802 I would appreciate that, im waiting on headers from lemons to set my 632 in a 4x4 version of that truck. I found no headers with over 2 inch primaries that'll fit so far
Need headers and a tune were you located..
Southern Wisconsin
Kaase best heads are the big block hemi head or BOSS head I think ? These P-51 are great but not best and not his best. Fyi
Good to know thanks!
@@kptautomotive1802 totally sick truck and video. Keep them coming
It really depends on application. They're all great heads. I believe the sr-71 flows best. The boss nine is a boss, it doesn't matter after that 🤣🤣
Nice sleeper
Nice truck but not totally original with that engine?
I believe a lot of them would have come with 454 big blocks.
@@kptautomotive1802 yes I have a 82 with A 454 and turbo 400
Mime doesn’t have any mod’s yet still stock
I'd be so paranoid that that little tab would get somehow between something that was important great-looking truck tho!
I spent literally 2 hours with the bore scope scouring every inch of the pan. Never saw it. I agree though, it would be catastrophic! So far so good!
This makes my 86 daully with 550hp big block look like a baby 😅
I was so impressed with the naturally aspirated torque! A big heavy truck could get sideways at nearly any speed!😁
I would love to see more on this truck if you had any more content.. here in Australia we don’t have many if any dually
@@simplyoutnumbered2965 I haven't seen it since it left the shop. I live in the north so it spent the winter in the customers shed once it left my shop. I'm hoping maybe I'll see it around this summer. I have another project that I've gotten some videos of. I just have to get them edited. It's a 1954 Chevy truck on a TCI chassis with Ridetech coilovers all the way around.
How long have you had this squirreled away?
Thanksgivingish....2021...
Kasse SR-71 heads are what I want for mine 😊
Planning to build one for my 79 F-350 4x4. Can't wait. The pan shouldn't be too bad as long as you pull the oil pump with the pan lowered. At least it worked well on my 68 F-100 with a 390.
Man this just popped up. That’s a nice killer build similar to what I have. I was hoping to see an update
It is stored away in the owners shed waiting for spring and non-salted roads to do burnouts on!😁
@@kptautomotive1802 does the owner plan to make some 1/8-1/4 passes too?
Probably. He said it used to run 11's but that may have been before the Caltracs. He also has a stick shift Boss Mustang he just finished which runs easy low 11's and once he works out some suspension tweaks should run 10's no problem
Wow! That's a badass truck. I'm working on a 78 f100 very similar to that one
I have the same motor and heads in my 79 love the sound of the BBF
What cc chamber heads do you have. All I found in the p51 heads was 72cc chamber. With what I'm building that will jump my compression up to high
72 cc is what i have also and i run 10.2:1 compression
@@sheldonbosch7340 well If my figures are right with it bored 30 over and flat top mine would be 12.1. I'd like to be able to run pump gas.
@@joshua12345j run a thicker head gasket to bump down your compression a little. i ended up using dish pistons for lower compression so i could run NOS and pump gas
I am so jealous! Fr
Sounds like my boat, 460 Clay Smith .600 lift 315 duration 2 1/2 " Bassets. Bad set up!!!
Good video. Just curious, how long did it take you to install that kit?
I ended up removing the luggage rack at the same time because with the lift kit it would no longer fit in the owners garage. I would guess for the lift kit alone it took around 6 hours or so. The longest part of the installation is getting the struts apart and back together. The off road dirt and road grime on this one made it somewhat time consuming. I am also particular about torquing everything correctly.
Really great looking truck and Kaase horsepower under the hood! WOW!!!
you can do a lot better than Westcott.
I have the same set up! rides great!
They should’ve got the eibach lift springs instead of spacers
Do you have them on your vehicle? What do you like about them?
@@kptautomotive1802 I don’t I’m planning on getting the front springs. I’m assuming you’d get more suspension travel then with the westcott spacers.
Nice quick and informative vid.
Thanks!
Where are you guys located at?
Southern WI. Thanks for watching!
So what all you needed besides the headers for the installation
The headers came with exhaust manifold bolts, exhaust manifold gaskets, collector gaskets, and collector bolts and nuts. I would recommend getting a set of GM exhaust manifold gaskets as the one that came with were garbage. Basic hand tools are all that is necessary but a torch is handy for rusty bolts. Also you may need a welder if one or more of the exhaust manifold bolts are broken off.
Life saver thanks
@@kptautomotive1802 what about any o2 sensors cause I have a solo exhaust but I’m trying to make sure I have everything covered when it comes to installing the headers
@@bobbysmith9082 The headers have a O2 sensor bung in each collector. You will install the pre cat O2 sensors in these bungs. You will also need a O2 extension harness for the drivers side. Many companies sell them. The passenger side had enough wire on it. The headers should bolt right to the factory exhaust. I assume your exhaust merges into one mid way back on the car?
Still got the stock cats?
Owner sold them and more than paid for the headers!😁
Did the headers delete a set of cats? Is there more than one set?
Yes the headers did delete the cat on each bank. One per side, 2 total. You will need to tune out both rear O2 sensors and associated codes in order to eliminate check engine lights.
We need landscape rather than portrait. Good vid!
Good call, recorded this with my phone and didn't even think about it. The next one was shot with the Go-pro so should be easier to watch!
