    I truly believe morning routines are essential. My routine is get up and do morning pages and some journaling. Morning pages helps clear my brain and set things in focus. Then I do gratitude journaling. I read a few chapters in the Bible and today some poetry from Christina Rossetti and Robert Frost. It is blazing hot outside so I will treadmill today. On days I have to be at work at 0700 I get up an hour earlier to get things done. I have not found an app that works for me either. I use a paper planner and journal books.

    Interesting history that Bronte Beach is named after Lord Horatio Nelson, as the Duke of Bronte in Sicily, and not the famous literary sisters. (He obtained the title “in perpetual” in 1799 from the “grateful” King of Sicily, Ferdinand of Bourbon, after Nelson saved his life by suppressing a French-inspired insurrection in Naples.)

Lots of books on your bookshelves - I think I spotted Nicola Tallis’ Young Elizabeth and I’m delighted with my signed copy from her recent talk at Southwark Cathedral here in London. Hello Natalie. Thanks so much for that very nice video, and for the podcast of which I never miss an episode. I was just wondering, I’m sure your fellow Australians are very familiar with the current members of the royal family, but is there much awareness over there of earlier royal eras? For example, are the Tudors etc taught in schools? Kind regards, Ian.

    • @NatalieMGrueninger
      @NatalieMGrueninger หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great question, Ian! We don't learn about the Tudors in primary school here, which is why I really only discovered them in my late teens when I read a book called 'The Secret Diary of Anne Boleyn'. In saying that, I think there's a growing interest in the Tudor period thanks to some recent TV shows and books.
