I'm back again. Jean was such an accomplished actor. I don't think anybody in the business could've portrayed the role of Hilda as well as Jean. It seems to me (never missed an episode until 1998 when I stopped watching the show) that Hilda's exit was always the beginning of Corrie's down fall. Corrie was never the same after she left. May you always rest in peace.

This was probably 1 of the last great true Royal Variety Performances back when they still used to know how to do them! The right staging the right venue every aspect of it as they used to be and worthy of watching - LWT at its finest.
