For 2025 I will set myself some reasonable goals. I am playing PF2 next week so that's a new game. I will publish something on the next Mausritter game jam so that's something written. Maybe my last goal should be to GM a new game one-shot or play something solo. Anyway, happy new year everyone!

My 15 year old son and 13 year old daughter have just started GMing Shadowdark. And he bought Free League's lord of the Rings to run. I gave her Blades in the dark for her birthday.

I've found you to be a stellar example. I'd like to see more videos from you. However, before one is to worry about falling into faithlessness, you should ask... "faith in what?". Creative pursuits seem to entail a faith in oneself, in one's own process, more than anything else. Your message about fellowship and all that is great, but that's not what being a creative is like... no, it would seem that's what being successful in the eyes of an industry, or in the eyes of a community based around commercialism or on the exaltation of those deemed successful on account of something like subscription or views numbers and following of those. So many will probably have an immediate reaction of "who the hell is this guy to say something like that?" or "oh man, just another a$$h0%$... why don't they just shut it". Yes. I am no one of note. I do just not make videos. The conversation exists nonetheless... the ideas without the views.

As someone who also started as a dungeon tuber within the last year this video is inspiring and has a lot of truth in it. You’ve brought me me personally fresh ideas and inspiration on concepts I previously might have thought I had figured out , and you’ve definitely shown the light on some systems that have brought me some really fun ideas, that I don’t think I would’ve found otherwise. It definitely can be a lonely, creative pursuit for sure it’s a weird dynamic. It can be ever so fulfilling and somewhat soul sucking… we will for sure Have to do our chat sometime soon and make sure we as a community help each other combat some of that loneliness

ah, Dragon Heist... the one our GM burned out on. 100+ NPCs for a cognitive overload and scripted events to teach you railroading, what not to like? Things like Dragon Heist and Curse of Strahd also can take years to finish. What kind of group finds this form of adventure the most fun and have enough time and commitment?

Just watched the video and lost iked through your video list. As a 40+ year forever DM I have Never really run a pre made and have been home brewing. How much do you home brew vs use pre made and what advice would you give the up and coming DM.

This is the first time I've watched one of your videos, and what you're saying about community and taking heart really resonates. Totally nailed it, man. Doing this, especially as a GM, is about creating a place where we are allowed to just be, laugh, explore and cultivate fellowship. "Nobody needs it" is sort of the big WHY for me of how many people really do need it. Art and expression are enrichment to life. They are proof that we are more than just surviving the struggle bus. Doing something beyond pratical necessity out of joy is a deeply human thing which we can train ourselves out of over time. Showing up for yourself and others in play recharges the battery for the other parts of our lives. Thank YOU for not chasing the algorithm with empty reviews, hot takes, drama and negging. That is not community building or joy fostering and I know there are financially successful channels which just do not take the high road at all. So, thank you for sticking to bringing fellowship, wonder and positivity to the fore in all you do.
