Great part 2, love these interviews
Awesome
At 44:50 it sounds like he is talking about a 100 AGL pattern. Am I missing something? Wouldn't there be trees?
Man Dan! This Podcast you started is GOLD! thank you for all you do! All your guest I have learned so much from !!!!!!!!!
Thanks man. I appreciate you watching.
Lot of hard earned wisdom there. Bravo sir.
Totally. Bravo Art.
I'm sure Art has more stories so can we have part3
We may do another sit down at some point. Maybe next summer
Been waiting on part 2 for this one. My commutes to work are gonna be awesome for the next few days. Love this dude, and envy him in many ways.
Feeling that broken ankle! Ouch😮
That is a really nice 180!
These interviews will save a pilots life someday, keep them coming. All these guys are phenomenal mentors.
best one yet, glued to the screen the entire time!
Love everything about this video.
That Russian pilot did not perform a well executed short field takeoff. Anyone who understands balanced field length and multi-engine operations knows that they took a huge risk. One bird into one engine causing a flame out and everyone on board would have likely died somewhere off the end of that runway. Please stop praising cowboys. It does a huge disservice to aviation.
You are a first class dude no question about it. I really enjoyed the segment wonderful individual.
My man, you’re the first person that knows about the seven cycles of waves I’ve ever heard that’s very cool of you. Super
Great Interview, I could listen to him all day!!!
Great Video. I will order my seat covers next month.
That’s awesome. Thanks for watching. Looking forward to making you comfortable 😁
That aircraft at 29:30 is an IL-76 not an AN-124...great lessons otherwise.
another nice video THANKS
You are welcome
Great stuff. Keep it coming!
Thanks
Always great discussions, the highligh of my day when every I see a new one. Keep at it, I'm sure someone out there has got a second hand lesson from one of these that will get them out of a bind someday. Even if it's just deciding not to do a thing because of what they heard.
Thanks Bob. Glad you’re enjoying them.
Very good interview!!!❤
Phenomenal aviation advice, even better life advice. “In the end it’s people who saved me” Don’t stop these interviews, they’ll save someone’s life, and likely has already.
What a great interview!
Invaluable and very interesting interviews.
Excellent interview
I am not trying to stir controversy, but what are your thoughts about the Bearhawk 5? Perhaps an apples and oranges comparison, but I am curious to know what trade-offs you considered for your use-case.
I’m not the guy who built this plane but you can’t use a bearhawk commercially because it’s experimental. This aircraft is certified
Great airplane and a great story. Keep going!
I love this! Thank you 🌟
Thank you for watching
Great Video, amazing location. Can you share the strip name?
I don’t think it has a name. It’s by knik glacier upper gorge
It was really nice to watch and made me smile! Thanks for all your content. Lately, I’ve watched all of it to improve my English regarding aviation. I’ve been dreaming about bush flying in Alaska for almost 8 years, and this year it will come true. There’s a random guy I asked for advice to help me get closer towards my dream, and he invited me to his ranch, where I can give him a hand and he’s willing to teach me bush flying. I’ve never been so excited about something, and I can’t wait to come over. Cheers, a German dude who wants to fly…
very cool. I hope that works out well for you
Make more of these videos please. This is absolutely amazing.
What is your videography experience prior to this channel Daniel? Cause it truly is second to none. Also, nothing I enjoy more than the company of someone who can appreciate the little things in life. I find it very inspiring. Big up Jim!
Not much experience. I do have a full time videographer that works for me. He has a lot more experience than I do. Mix his experience with my common sense and a lot of coaching from some experts and we are getting along ok.
@AirplanesInTheWild well it is working! Results are excellent!
thanks
Love your videos and this one especially. Nice work Daniel
Thanks Tal. That means a lot
nice camera work
That’s mostly Josh. Thanks
I love the production quality and overall feel of these shows and this channel. It’s never forced…but very natural. The editing and camera angles are very good and most importantly it feels like I am a fly on the wall, and it’s never abrupt. Fun and relaxing at the same time. Like I am right there with you. Great work! More more more!
Thanks Robert
Oh my gosh this was he best. Great stories and magnificent scenes. Thank you and let’s have more of this
Love this episode...
Did you see we found the shitty bear and goat shots?
What a fun day! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Did you modify the barn helmets to install the headsets?
"Bern" helmets.
Yes. The helmets and the headsets are both modified
Can you show how the headsets are fitted to the helmet?
I used a mounting bracket that my friend and I designed. I may make a video about it at some point. It doesn't really work with the newer style of bern helmets so I don't if it has practical application anymore
Jim, what a gem of a guy! Take me next?? 😍🙋🏻♀️
If we can find a babysitter for 8 hours on a good weather day I would love to take you my love 😍
Super well done buddy. Great content and footage. Thanks for the effort, great job!
Wow a comment from Matt. This is something to behold.
One of my bucket list items is to fly my aircraft in Alaska. This episode, with its “flying is secondary” undertone, just moved the needle on my list. Thank you.
Thoroughly enjoyed this, and I needed to hear some of it. Thank you. Love your channel.
You need to interview Jose de Creeft out of Homer
thank you for a bit of inspiration
Wanted to add that your production audio and video and edits are really good. I love the added eye pleasing shot frames like the axe, mushroom, and nature's views.
Thanks for noticing. it's a lot of work!
Thank you for sharing fine seats and coffee on a glacier. I love your contributions.
thanks
Jelous
Great Video! Can you tell me about the helmets you were wearing? I've been searching but can't find them; I thought they said TERN on them but I can't locate them.
they are a Bern skateboarding or snowboarding helmet that has been retrofitted with bose A20. My design. Unfortunately, a couple years ago the helmet industry stopped making helmets that can be modified in this way. So unless you have an old bern helmet this can't be done.
@@AirplanesInTheWild That's too bad - my search continues.
If you can find an older version of the helmet and have a set of a20s I can send you the parts to do the modification. I have a ton of parts still
@@AirplanesInTheWild I'm all over that - how can we get in touch? Sounds like an in the hangar build project video.
@@GlensHangar you can contact me through my website sportaircraftseats.com my name is Daniel
