@@AzRimRig I’m getting ready to head to King of the Hammers for a couple days. Would love to get together after I’m back.
@Prescott4Wheeler That sounds good let me know when you're available.
How many hours was it from chino valley to Jerome ??
@@tombstone2826 it took us about 2 hours and we weren’t going very fast.
@@Prescott4Wheeler Thanks for the info It's on my bucket list for sure ! Excellent info and video !
It was nice meeting and trailing with you. I have watched a few of your videos in the past. I didn't realize who you were untill I saw this. Turtle.

There are some really fun trails out here.
Looks like a fun trail. Would like to try that one .
what obdx dongle should i use for custom cammed gen3 5.3,also can i tune it with android cellphone?
@@WilfredGreen-ov8bh I used the OBDX Pro VX. Disclaimer - I have only done basic tuning on a stock 5.3 so I can’t really shed any light on the tuning you need to do. I use LS Droid and Tunerpro RT on a Windows laptop. It seems like tuning on a cellphone would be challenging.
ALWAYS FUN TIMES HERE IN ARIZONA !
It was a good time!
Even if I had a rig that would handle that, my rotten old back wouldn't. Maybe 30 years ago. Great vid. 👍👍👍
great info and easy to follow, Thank you
@@wayne007nz thanks. I made this video because I kept seeing so many questions posted on the LS Droid Facebook page from folks who were confused about what functions were possible with LS Droid and Tuner Pro. I’ve done a bunch of LS swaps and it’s honestly really easy to get these engines running with these tools.
thank you for sharing your work with this. It is not easy and requires some tools ……Honda makes great stuff but as others know a whole lotta trouble fixing for a very inexpensive cord.
I hope you found it helpful. The first time I did it was in the desert on Thanksgiving weekend. If I couldn’t fix it we were going to go without coffee 😳
R.i.p Wes. Love wheeling out there!
No thanks for me taking that trail. Not in my almost stock Wrangler Sport EcoDiesel. I will take that trail through your video posts. Great job.
My truck's capable but I don't think it would make it without burning my winch up and a more confident driver 😂
You have a nice truck but this is a really hard trail. Like, expect mechanical and body damage type trail. We can drag anything through a trail but you might not like the end result. I’ll let you know when we’re headed for a more moderate trail 👍
@Prescott4Wheeler yeah I appreciate that I've seen that trail when my friend Bobby Summers from Red or Dead Fabrication did it with the KC family.. yeah I wouldn't do that I would definitely need a different rig..
Should be running it tomorrow always a great trail.
Thanks for the video

looks like a fun trail. was in Johnson Valley with the buggy doing the same thing with family and about 5000 friends
When we lived in Ventura County I would hit the Hammers a couple times a year. Now we live in AZ and the drive is a little longer. I need to get back out there one of these days.
If you have a trailer hitch extension just weld a U bracket to the rear camper metal bumper, that way you kill two birds with one stone. Attaching the trailer extension to the camper will hole that camper from going nowhere. That's what I did and its rock solid.
Starting to get out now myself with the cooler weather..... looks fun appreciate you sharing with us....thanks
We've done a little poking around in that area, that looks like a good one. Will have to check it out. 👍👍👍
At first I thought you were up there at my little secret spot.Mayer Tank canyon. That's right off of perkinsville road and it's called Old perkinsville road that mayor tank is on. Is that spot where they strip mined.. they tore a hole mountain down they were mining flagstone they do a lot of flagstone mining up there. Let me know next time you want to go somewhere we should get together. I definitely want to check this trail out now. I'll probably do it Monday or Tuesday. Makes me want to go camping!!
I've commented on this one twice, and the TH-cam N.A.Z.I.'s keep cutting it, not sure what their problem is. Anyway, good vid, thanks. Ok, I figured it out. Our motorcycle camping club rents the Eagle Ridge group site at Lynx every summer for three days, I added a link to our club website. Guess that's a no no. 😂
That's weird
Yeah, also mentioned that my stepson got married at Watson last weekend. Our club is the International Brotherhood Of Motorcycle Campers, if anyone is interested. @@Prescott4Wheeler

Hello I just came across your video on the off-roading . If it's ok I have a couple questions. I took have had two hernia surgery this year and still having issues. They say they don't see any issues on cat scan but still having pain after 6months later . And having digestive issues from my colon. I'm 53 and I'm used to doing what ever but this has got me down and it sucks.
@@larryalexander4833 the first surgery was great. No issues. This second one hurt more as was expected. Reading about it on Google, they say that surgery with mesh has a possibility of causing long term pain and that sometimes the mesh has to be removed. Sorry you’re dealing with pain and hope you feel better soon.
@@Prescott4Wheeler sounds about what I'm experiencing. Getting old sucks
dear god why do make this so complicated. its bound to be one of the most common fail points !! terrible servicing design
@@justinlinnane8043 have you worked on a new car lately? 😂
I'll never forget getting a flat tire and broken jack off senator highway in Crown King and having my grandparents take their F-350 Dually on Forest Road 52 to us at midnight. The drop isn't scary if you can't see it!
1. At 50 mph, the fan shouldn't be a part of the cooling equation. 2. An electric fan is almost always going to be the better solution. 3. Your take-off fan may be weak or in poor condition. 4. Just spec one better than what you had. Or better yet use two. (A Quick check found CFM's over 4,500.)
@@lyleschall3375 it’s a Flex-A-Lite 3,000 CFM fan. It’s working as it should. Maybe 50 mph would take the fan out of the equation if there wasn’t a Warn winch blocking half the air flow. I did look for fans that would fit the footprint of my radiator. A single 18” is about all that will fit. Can’t fit two fans in that space. 3,000 CFM was about all I could find. I did a little research and an LS fan with a heavy duty fan clutch pulls more air than you can get from an electric fan. Keep in mind this is cooling a 5.3 LS, not the stock 4.0 normally found in a TJ. Electric fans cooled that just fine. Also keep in mind I was pulling a grade. I normally don’t drive this long distances on the street. It gets trailered most places when I go out of town.
Matt and I are not impressed if you’re not using the leaving jacks to get the motor home unstuck , and shoving anything under the tires 😂. Love the videos keep it up! 52
@@pbfab7764 well our first camping trip in the new motorhome will be in Kevin’s front yard. No jacks needed.
Great drive. Thank you for bringing us along. Variety is what is needed in life. It's the journey and who you are with that counts.
@@sledge7583 glad you enjoyed it.
Funny, no seat belts, no helmet, wheeling alone. 😂
We were wearing the lap belt portion of a 4 point harness, I let a friend know where we were going and to look for us if we didn’t return by late afternoon. Who wears a helmet driving a Jeep in a non-competition scenario?
did hi desert run for many years with the victor valley club. since it was home turf i spent a lot of time around there
@@craigdonalson3573 there are a few folks from that area who are in Arizona now and I occasionally wheel with them.
one thing to consider is air flow after the fan. its got to go some where. v8s in jeeps push the limits of space management. creative mounting of coolers other than the front of the rad can help. mechanical fans are best if you have the space you just can't turn them off for water crossings
Thanks for the feedback. I have a vent in the hood and vents in each fender. I'm sure part of the problem is the winch blocking air flow from the front. Fortunately I do mostly rock crawling and haven't been in deep water in 20 years.
Pun definitely intended.
👍
Really fun trail. Locals refer to it as Diamante Ranch trail. I was not aware of the Cornucopia name. I have been in the Prescott area for 20 years running this trail and others. Learn something new every day. You returned on the power line road that runs between Prescott and Bagdad. Please be respectful of our the National forest. Pick up your TP. (nobody likes the white flowers) Tread lightly.
@@brettteets8242 it’s called Cornucopia on the OnX Off Road app. I don’t know who actually names them. Probably the first person who identifies it. I’ve been involved with various land use organizations for decades. My old off road club put on a yearly event that raised thousands of dollars each year that we donated to those organizations. I’m planning to make a video that addresses threats to off road opportunities. My hope is that more people will be motivated to get involved.
Kickass. Thanks for making the video. My dream is to live close to downtown Prescott! Timmy C Phoenix

I'm getting ready to do the back way to crown King from Lake pleasant with Bobbie Summers from Red or Dead fabrication former employee of summit 4x4 has his own shop now he was Summits best fabricator .so I fallowed the tallent and left summit 4x4.. I spent 60k at summit in less than 6 months and the general manager started calling me easy money . I couldn't believe he said that.. they have lost all respect from me .Jesse the owner made my 60k insignificant when he said they have $100,000 build now implying my 60k was nothing . I am completely done with them Red or Dead Fabrication all the way now.
That looks fun. I’ve thought about doing it but haven’t figured out the logistics of getting to Lake Pleasant. My yellow TJ isn’t really set up to drive that distance. It’s more of a trailer queen rock crawler. I could take my LJ. I have no experience with Summit. I generally do my own work.
