Thoughts on older cars for the limo Business

To start up I recommend newer body styles because you will need to impress that first clientele the appearance of the car helps. Unless you have other cars that are newer then adding an old one doesn’t matter

Video recording questions and Hello!
มุมมอง 74หลายเดือนก่อน
Someone asked about video recording. Here is the standard: Let people know they are being recorded (via sticker on the windows) Don’t record voice Don’t record the inside of the car Some executives have meetings inside of the car, they don’t appreciate you recording them Record the outside front and back I trust the drivers that worked with me, don’t need to record them

I like your videos. I work for a limo company. They have 16 pax sprinters with the back done up. All DOT and MC numbers I have my class B with Passenger. I’m looking to become owner operator in NY

No car yet so I'm still looking at insurance but Biberk is still the best I've found (based on your suggestion from some months ago). 🙂
As a new guy, I'm also becoming keenly aware of the importance of having professional partners who can take my clients when I have overlaps or am unavailable. I think you've spoken to this in prior videos but any ideas would be appreciated. Thx!
Great details - Thank you! Have you ever bought cars from auction? I'm trying to find a dealer to help with this. Do you think the lessor versions of Yukon like the SLT are a good fit for the business? Looking for luxury ride with lots of storage and seating to serve broad market and carry whole families and parties. Is there any reason not to try to be an affiliate with as many limo firms as possible? My biggest concern is not staying busy, especially in the slow summer months, and I'm hoping targeted advertising and lots of affiliate partnerships will help with this. Thanks again!
Thank you
Hi from Scottsdale Arizona George! I've been following you for some time now and I'm a huge fan! I'm getting ready to open my own limo one-man business out here! I'm doing Uber and Lyft as well as building a private book using my 2023 Honda Pilot. I'm saving for a 2022-2023 Yukon XL Denali - do you think that is a good approach? I've incorporated and gotten preliminary insurance quotes and I'm getting ready to start shopping for the vehicle. Do you have any recommendations on how to keep purchase costs down? I've been trying to drive and conduct myself as a professional (often based on your video suggestions). Could you make a video about the basics of the trade? How to drive smoothly? What speed to drive (always the limit or keep with traffic?). Where and how to wait between booked rides? Can't thank you enough for your inspiration!
GOOD AFTERNOON FROM NYC
Thank you for your videos, I want to start a limo company and your videos help a lot. For vehicle, is it okay if it’s not the newest body style? For example, is a 2016 gmc Yukon okay ? Are high miles something to be scared of? If I find it with like 90k miles. Of course the newer the better, but right now starting out I don’t have a lot of money
Making a video for you

Solid advice I work for limo company and also do Uber black and lift black in Cleveland and I’m in the process of starting my own business right now. I have limited clientele, but I am trying to build my client base up and I appreciate you bringing the realities instead of talking about system, spending $2500 a month on advertising that is not a realistic for somebody starting car business
Hi Sir Which permission do you need to assign riders to other chauffeur? What the answer on Blacklane. Thank you so much
Great question! I’ll do a video

And the trunk space is not good for luggage.
Hi, I am a follower of your channel, I am struggling with listing as google business page, it was asking for a video, didn’t get approved, could you please help me ?
Im going to do a video about it
What about Teslas model Y
Do you have that great video uploaded and great information please try not to or who drives a limo called a chauffeur, not a Driver, just my point of you, but this is great Information. You provided us we appreciate you !!
Thanks for the tips ! How do you find your clients and I see you drive a Tesla . I was thinking of doing the same. How do you and your clients like the Tesla for chauffeur services ? Is there substantial cost savings for you ?

Just started my new limousine journey… bought 1 stretch limousine at an auction… replacing a few things, tagged, insured, road ready, lots of great advice online, thanks for your videos
I’ve been doing this nine years. And a lot of us drivers that talk to each other. Have all the same baffling questions. Where have all the privates gone. I’m pretty much down to just one private. My other buddy is the same. He’s down to one private. Couple of the other drivers are claiming they still have at least three. But all of us have lost I would say 90% of our privates. This economy ain’t cutting it regardless what all these people are saying. Especially the two that are running for office. Both of them are too deep in with Uber. Would that said. Do your own research. But as an Uber driver, I cannot honestly vote for them.
I think this was at LAX at Atlantic. They actually gave me a piece of tape to cover my dash cam. And he literally told me do not record once you go past the gates. And I was like I’m not recording nothing. And I even disconnected, the dash cam even though he had put tape on it to cover the lens. I put both of my cell phones away. Just to ease everybody’s tension.
I did a pick up at Van Nuys airport. They were waiting for someone to escort me to pick up this lady from her plane. And they let me in and then they took me back out. Because the pilot had brought her out, it was an older woman with this hair Chihuahua. She is covered in dog hair. Very wealthy lady. The pilot once we got her into the car said to me she’s really drunk and I couldn’t take a chance loading her into your vehicle out there on the tarmac. But three pilots were with her and they did everything they did the luggage they helped her into the car. I was like wow this is service.
I’ve been doing this nine years. And I’ve talked to a lot of private pilots. One conversation I had had to do with the golf stream. The pilot said to me they’ve never met anyone who owns a golf stream. Because everyone leases these planes. Anyway, I picked up a guy who brought his golf stream in for service. I get them in the car and we start talking about his plane. And he’s telling me the water heater leaks. The bathroom toilet hangs up. The hot water that goes to the coffee maker sometimes doesn’t let any water out. And there was something else wrong. And I asked him if he owns the plane or is it a lease and they take care of it under warranty. He says oh no I bought that thing five years ago that is my plane. There goes for what pilots think they know and what is actually reality.
At ACI south. I had security take me to an airplane so we could put a Portuguese water dog inside the suburban so it didn’t have to walk on the hot tarmac. Along with the owner of the plane. The most impressed that I was was how well trained the dog was mind blowing when we got to his house. The dog jumps out and is just sitting there whimpering. The guy turns to the dog and says go ahead go to the beach and play. And the dog just took off running. So I asked the guy he’s that well trained. The guy says to me two years of training. And I’m like he’ll come back from the beach. The guy says to me he’ll be back in 30 minutes. Good times.
So at the John Wayne airport. They wanted me to drive on the other side of the gate to their plane so we could load straight from the suburban. Security said no. Then a different security guard shows up looks at the people I have in the back of the car. Immediately is like oh right this way just go right over there. As I’m driving to I’m cracking up wow this guy got power.
Since you didn’t have any comments, I’m posting a whole bunch of stuff that I’ve done.
So I’ve literally had at the Santa Monica airport. security come and get me. I follow them in right underneath the airplane. And then we load all the stuff. And on our way we go.
You got some content for videos… have u thought about launching a you tube channel?
Thanks for answering my question. I am paying my drivers 15% of the fare to drive my car. Good to know you never had issues with stealing. The reality is that the drivers can use my car to do whatever they want and I would never know because I’m not there in the car with them and that scares me.
Another way to track cars I used was AirTags by Apple. I also had them bring the car back at the end of the shift to my garage
@@gecamp77 thank you 🙏
Most of the drivers that I know that are leasing from another limo company to do private rides or Uber or Lyft in the black category. Have either insurance cameras in their cars mounted by the companies. Or they have had a GPS tracker installed on the car. With Apple AirTags, the driver knows if he has an Apple phone that he’s being tracked. With a professionally installed GPS tracker if I’m not mistaken, some of them cut off if the owner sees something going on that’s not working for him. And track the car down. Just a thought. When I started, it was $600 a week for the vehicle. Which is a brand new SUV Cadillac was a little more so was the Lincoln. But the GMC and suburban remain at 600. The Cadillacs are going for like 900 a week and the suburban GMC and Lincoln navigator are starting out at around 750 a week

Good Morning George from NYC. Have a great Day .Stay Safe and Stay Blessed
Good morning!
Questions: when doing an airport pick up and the client(s) has luggage. Do you first try and have them enter the vehicle and then deal with the luggage? Or Vice Versa? I find myself trying to get their bags stored first and then the client(s) end up opening their own doors and I don’t fee they should be
@@boboso8699 luggage first, so you can make sure nothing is left behind, open the trunk in front of them then load the luggage, check for more. Then proceed to open their doors, unless of course they help them selves into the car first.
