I just checked out the Addies for a review recently and used to have the Casio ages ago, before they remove the marlin, then got it back, now I think you can have it both ways. Loved that watch, it was a gift from my dad when I was a kid. But gotta say, the Addies totally outshines it, no comparison, sturdier, feels more dense, better proportions better feel in general, the lume is totally out of contest. Haven't seen the new Duros, so maybe they've upped their game. Still, at 80 to 90 bucks, I don't really see the point.

Thanks for a wonderful overview . I have had this in my cart for awhile & with your review I have now purchased it . I have quite a few Aliexpress watches & have only ever had 1 issue with a Tandorio 50 Fathoms homage that the bezel fell of after 2 months but after contacting Aliexpress they sent a post paid return code & I had my mobey back in 3 days . Can't complain about that 👌 . Cheers

Im considering the ranger homage in the same case as this. Difference is, i really dislike the tudor version (i think it looks really cheap) so the san martin actually beats it for me as it has applied indices and looks better overall tbh.

Thanks for this video, it really set the record straight about homages and regular folk being able to enjoy watches without forking over big money. The real farce as many others have commented, is the belief that we NEED to spend the £6k on the ‘real thing’ when the price tag is more of a scam than buying any homage could be. Bought my Casio gshock from walmart(online), ive told several people that its a good starting point for your 1st watch.

In my day to day majority of people dont even wear a watch. I just wear what i like.

I got the yellow one for $15USD during one of the AliExpress sales. The bracelet is tinny and rattles.. what do you expect for $15?? I put a $3USD yellow NATO strap on it and it looks AWESOME. Does the Rolex Oyster Perpetual have a yellow band???

I got all colors except the black. Nice 'summer' colors and the quality is good at this pricepoint.

Nice Video there, I was really wanted to know the case back in details and Man, it wasn't easily available as not many people even care to mention and now seeing this detailed video it was amazing. Got to know and help me with my many querries but still there are some help me with that. Does the WR is decided on what type of case back it has? Like a 10 Bar and plus with Screw down Case back is practically better then a simple screw caseback or snap off caseback? In terms of WR.?

i wish the duro was smaller, it would have been perfect. i have the watchdives milsub instead of the addiesdive, same 40mm submariner case and japan quartz movemnt with saphire glass. its a good watch

20 years ago, CASIO used to make great Analogue watches like the EF-305, until their main designer maybe passed away and they had to replace him with someone who doesn't know what a watch means, and their watches ever since became huge dinner plates with minute hands so disproportionately short that you could almost confuse them with the hour hands.. I believe they had better quit the analogue thing and stick to what they do best, i.e. their great Digitals. .. This Addiesdive beats the Casio in everything.

So I have a Pagani Design Royal Oak homage watch and it's one of two watches that made me stop buying these cheap knockoffs. The butterfly clasp push buttons on this bracelet are so sharp it made the watch unbearable. They were literally just squared off pieces of metal and it would scratch my wrist all the time. I got so fed up with this I ended up taking a file and filing down the clasp push buttons. Since I had yet to learn my lesson I ordered another PD this time an Air King homage. This watch didn't have the same issue with the bracelet but after a couple days of wear THE DIAL INDECES FELL OFF! After this I have never purchased another one. Highly recommend anyone out there to NOT get one of these, THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY!

I fell in love with a Nodus. By any chance is the quality worth the price? Looking to order one specific watch from them at the end of this month. If not ill definitely go for a Jack Mason i wanted before i seen the Nodus.

I have had some crap PD bracelets. I typically swap to a rubber strap immediately. I think I have had my fill of the cheap end of AliExpress -strictly San Martin, Baltany, and Sugess from now on

I bought that watch. Its very comfortable with a blue rubber band and looks better. I didn't wear the bracelet long enough to see any scratches on it.

Addiesdive kills the Casio

Just some days ago I bought a Delma Santiago Day/Date in Black/Gold and I am very satisfied with it.

I bought one . I set it and put it on and wore it for three hours or so and took it off to take a nap. When I went to put it back on it had stopped. I had also ordered one of the ones on the bracelet that did not have a color chapter ring. It did the same thing. I ordered the green one from the Addiesdive website. When I contacted them they asked me to pay $10 for shipping and they would send me a new watch. I did that. It is on the way. The other one on the bracelet I got from Aliexpress. I just got it today and it has done the same. I guess I will request a refund. and see how the green replacement does when it gets here. I have purchased a couple of Addiesdive watches two mecha -quartz and one auto and they have worked fine. This model is not having a good track record with me.

Cool video man. I wish you could be more transparent and just tell us who was or wasn’t up to your standard. I think it’s worth saying the way a watch feels in your hand doesn’t mean everything. For example titanium watch’s are light and some feel as though it feels cheap as a result. Good to be as objective as possible, what’s the movement, finishing etc. I wouldn’t be shy about it sir😊

THH, thanks for a fine review. I like the look and function of the watch, reminds me of the watches I would buy in my youth when I loved watches for their looks, regardless of the materials or brand. I won't be buying one but can appreciate that many people do and think that in some instances this type of watches are the beginning of the watch colleting journey. Looks like the band is worth $13. Almost. When the battery dies, save the band, ditch the watch. Looks nice.

Ordered mine about a week ago and waiting for it to arrive. My opinion was the same as yours. Thanks for sharing.
