my bmw E46 320d with 150 hp gets to 100km/h in 8.7s , this car(E60) is 200ish kg heavyer and allmost 100 hp more powerfull, it must go to 100 in less than 7 s

The guy who launched bmw did a terrible job. It can do as fast as 4.7 sec 0-100 but this guy managed only about 5.2. So half a second difference.

My tunned e270 manual with 222hp 520nm would smoke these stock of course

BMW always seems to have better 0-100 time because they have better gearing for max acceleration (ZF-8speed). If Mercedes used ZF instead of 7-gtronic they would be much faster 0-100

They tested a outdated 540d. Since 2021 it has 340hp and not 320hp. I guess it would be a draw with the +20hp

Mercedes Benz is clearly better, but it's not something that would matter much if you want fun driving. You're still going BMW. And if you want comfort and a family car, then it's an even bigger gap, but in Mercedes favour!
