Leigh Sinton (Lower House Farm).
This is certainly the lightest (conventionally hung) ring of 12 in the world. The ringing featured is a snippet of an (unsuccessful) peal attempt in June 2024. These bells are a triumph of engineering, by Chris Phillips.

very good tuning, who did it?
Benjamin Kipling, at Matthew Higby & Co Ltd.
where is this? is it a foundry?
Hello
Came here for a grab on a quarter peal day, a beautiful sunny day, and the surroundings and church were absolutely beautiful
👏 all this is magnificent, many compliments!
Amazing these sound beautiful
The old sounds like st Michael on the Mount, Bristol
I really enjoyed watching this, well done everyone, I’ve only rung Stedman Doubles a few times and always on the tenor so far but eventually intend to have a go ringing it on a working bell. I must say I’m a subtle shade of envious lol as I’d love to have a house big enough to have my own mini ring, maybe one day. Well done this sounds lovely 👍
I hear a carillon.
Yes - from several floors above!
Nether😂😂😂
I presume the other 2 are semitones?
Yes there are 2 (soon to be 3) semitones..
@matthewhigby Is there already a pit for the extra one? Also, who made the ropes? They look really well made, and I'm looking for some of this scale. Are they just pipe cleaners, or are they made using some type of sleeve?
@ In June (when this was recorded) The 3rd semitone (a zero or extra treble) was hanging, clapperless in its pit, but not roped up. Properly made ropes by Avon Ropes.
@@matthewhigby I didn't realise Avon went that small. Thought Phill only went to light pull size
@matthewhigby why would you want semitones in a peal like this, there is hardly a reason for a light 8 or 10. Please let me know, I'm really curious.
stedman cinques
Unsurprisingly, wrong!
Smallest ringable 12 in the world?😂
Not by a long shot…..
Excellent work 👏
This sounds just as I imagined it would. Is this in your workshop? Might have to arrange a visit soon if that's alright?
Interesting arrangement of the bells
Isnt the 8 in A still in use?
Read the earlier comment!
Good morning
Lovely to hear them.
Absolutely gorgeous! What happened to the previous ring?
Currently in storage…. More info coming soon (hopefully).
@@matthewhigby there is a video of the old 8
@@wereswdfgrdesdReally???? gosh! I truly would never have guessed!!!! Who posted it??
@@matthewhigbymore than 1 in fact... as I posted one!
Nice to heard the new bells. I saw them in the workshop and was impressed with them.
Very nice bells, great ringing for such a challenging composition!
Would you class a front 8 with the 2nd sharp still as the front 8 because I do.
interesting headstocks
Standard Canon Retaining Headstocks, that we have used for 20+ years.
trebles taylors eyare and smith the rest john taylor bellfounders
it is also called the children's church no information on dove for this church
if you'd actually bothered to read the description you'd see that they are actually chimes!, please stop stating the sodding obvious!.
Much improved!

I think lye is the most dangerous town! The rules in that town have gone too far
Nice bells! Who's the founder?
Higby/Bowditch on the left - Whitechapel on the right.
Absolutely astonishing bells. Very grateful that I’ve rung there
The fact that a mini ring was installed in an entire church, and you can even hear those tiny little bells from outside
These are somewhat larger than a mini-ring.

I wish I had a peal of bells like this in the attic! but the attic has been invaded by bugs😢
front 3 of a 4 for the tuning
What mini ring is this?
Timsbury (The Pigsty) - as it says in the title 🙂
Thank you for the information, Matthew😊
Those trebles must have long rope draws.
Yes, but less than they were when they were 10.
nice bells, im seeing a ringer called Phil Gay who has a ring of 8 in Ab with the tenor 1-2cwt in his garage in keele woodlands staffordshire
The only video of the belfry
There’s no video of the bells in action, but we did get to see what the bells looked like
that was nearly the time that the tenor fell off the headstock
How come these are lower in pitch to Hawkesbury? Is it just for variety?
We decided to make them slightly different. Nothing more!
This is a church in the Netherlands that have English bell ringing.
Correct.
Is it just me or is that number 3 in the corner a bit out of control, because at backstroke the Green sally wobbles
Almost certainly the operator, not the bell..... 🙂
They sound an awful lot like gressenhall norfolk
yea
I wanna see how it sounds without the leather pads
stupendous !
West Cranmore i believe.
Well done 😀
