nice rant! I'd also like to add that apart from the whole "vintage look" thing, another aspect that I'm into is offloading functions from your phone. Over the decades, we've been "funneled" into using our phones for everything, and I'm trying to do the opposite: for a watch, get a physical non-smartwatch that you can look at, since if it were you looking at your phone the temptation would be to do a "quick check" of social media, instead of a notepad get a physical notepad, instead of an audio player get an mp3 player - these are "physical apps," so to speak. Same with digicams. Unless there is a specific reason, why should even the "mundane" photos be stored on your phone?
