Sometimes just talking to the camera helps. Months later I’m still trying to move forward with photography, videography and managing my 9-5. Thanks for watching. I’ll do an update soon and talk about the hurdles to the creative process.

The camera was six or seven feet away. I love the 50mm but doing video with the camera so far away can be difficult and the microphone needs to be closer so your voice is clearer. Shortly after I purchased a Sigma 18-35mm f1.8. You get the Bokeh but at a much closer distance. It works really well with the Canon EOS R as well.

@@DavidSenteno Thanks for your quick response. My canon 50mm lens was delivered about a week ago. I thought it would be a good level up from the Canon kit lens. I would prefer having lens placed closer to desk because I also place it about 6 feet away. I was so tempted to get the Sigma 16mm but not financially practical at this time. Thanks again. Much Joy.

AF/MF (Auto Focus/Manual Focus) is entirely up to you. Aperture or Shutter priority will not change the focus setting. The same with shooting video. I usually prefer Auto Focus for Photography and Manual Focus for video as the 50mm tends to focus breath ( move in and out of focus ) on its own as I shoot. Remember all your changing is whether the camera is focusing for you or not. I hope this helps. Let me know if you have any more questions and Happy Shooting. 😁

@@DavidSenteno thanks David, so it’s not mandatory that the lens setting should be MF when you photograph in Manual focus and vice versa? Otherwise even when the lens setting is in MF, you can set your camera to AF and photograph?

@@MichiMallu the AF/MF in the camera menu is for the settings you want to use when in either AF or MF. So if you switch the lens to AF then your M50 will autofocus based on your settings. Same with manual focus.

Bessie Bakes Backdrops come in a variety of styles and are minimally reflective. The white ones I've found all have a texture or look to them. They are all really nice. If your looking for specifically white non reflective a quick search on Amazon for "Non Reflective Backdrop" you'll find a listing for AbleDIY boards and some suggested alternatives. Also photo paper backdrops can be cut and are non reflective or just pop into any Dollar Store and get a piece of white foam board. I like the textures of Bessie Bakes but have used the other methods as well. I hope this helps. 🥂

I didn't mention prices because they vary. I paid $60 US for the one I have. She just came out with a new one looks fantastic I think it costs the same.
