What I just learned about the FLSun V400 delta printer
I have really been enjoying using the new FLSun I am working with. I had a surprise today though that I hope everyone else can learn from and avoid the same mistakes!

      Thank you for the comments. We do not attempt to make final sockets with filament 3D printing. The longest use case we plan for would be probably 3-6 months, and there are nylons, polycarbonates, polypropylenes, and copoly that can all handle that if properly design and printed.

    Wow! This is a wonderful video! I am working on a below knee prosthesis for a child in Nicaragua and I was very confused about how to make a socket. By looking at this video, I realized that I can make a personal socket with such low cost. I have some questions for you if you don't mind answering them. 1. Did you scan the amputee's leg right away with your iphone or did you have to go through other steps such as making a plastic mold? 2. When making the socket, how do you consider the padding and the gap between the leg and the socket? 3. After making the socket, does it go right on to the leg without anything between? I am not that experienced, so these might be dumb questions. Thank you for this video! I really appreciate it.

    HI still fighting with getting my own build printer in as a 'physical' printer to be able to even start the usual config/setup, but am in total confusuion re getting a physical printer in the bottom listbox under it's it's sub heading of 'Physical Printers' my appears in 'User Presets'. I have rerun your vid many times but am still missing something. @4:44 your top left listbox shows 'Sidewinder X2' that you named earlier, but when you switched back to 3D View your right hand side 3rd down listbox, which I am led to believe is the 'physical' printers now reads 'Sidewinder X2 - 0.4mm nozzle (modified)', can understand why the modified, is after it but how did the name you gave it earlier change ????. Also as you did not drop that listbox down I can't know under what sub heading your 'Sidewinder X2 - 0.4mm nozzle (modified)' is in. Would be most grateful for an answer to this as after some 4 days now the frustration is great, and I can find absolutely no docs on this that isn't n year old Slic3r doc, to try and help myself. Many thks in advance. Kind Rgds.

  • @joeking5211
    @joeking5211 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm lost @ 2:51 the listbox went from '0.2mm NORMAL' to 'Generic PLA' in about a uS. How did you manage that ???. What's the difference between 'System presets' & 'User presets' they are all the same presets, or have I got that wrong. I ask as I can find no other video on SS that starts from the start, YT is full of guru's & experts spouting on about the new techie things it can do but none I can find that start at square one as you appear to be doing. I am totally confused with the 3 dropdown listboxes and what their contents represent when the contents look duplicated in each, which is why I ask the difference of presets above. So when I saw your vid I really thought I'd hit gold, but alas lost @ 2:51, if you have another vid as sometimes happens with makers of these YT vids, that fully explain I would be most grateful as I really am stuck before I have even started. Thks for your attempt, most grateful.

      They flipped to different settings because I clicked over from the “Print Settings” tab to the “Filament Settings” tab. SuperSlicer has a lot going on. If it’s too much, just start with the simple settings before opening up the added options with advanced and expert settings. I create all of my own profiles because of the type of work that I do, but if you’re just printing things for fun then the presets might be enough. My understanding is that some people do not even bother much with changing their slicer settings, while others get very deep into it

      @joeking5211 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@8azk3ibsi HI Sir, many thks for your trouble in replying, but my issue is way before Simple/Advanced/Expert buttons, it's the setting of a 'physical' printer such that I can then go and use those screens. I am in total confusion as to the 3 dropdown list boxes, I assumed one was a 'select physical machine' another for you to 'select filament' and the last for the 'general print settings', but getting a 'physical' printer in the list and making a copy for very similar machine but not identical to each other and so need another entry to modify ( hardware settings ) slightly is a total mystery, on every chg of screen it seems to ask for yet another name to be entered in yet another listbox/editbox I am baffled how would have a few printers ( 3 in my case ) in SS and have them selectable. If you cannot help in any way, could I ask where you gained the info to be able to use the s/w, I cannot even find and doc for it on wiki or anywhere, the help menu 'wiki' 'website' & 'manual' when clicked go nowhere, I'm totally lost before I even get the usual problems of setting a printer up, but that I could handle fine if I can decrypt the context/implementation of the method behind the madness of adding printers/devices. Again, many thks in advance, most appreciated. Kind Rgds.

Maybe then can I ask where you found your docs/info from that got you where you are with it, maybe I could follow that if it is available on a site that as of now I have not found. Kind Rgds.

      I moved over to SS after using Cura and Simplify3D first. I have put a lot of time into researching and learning what the settings are and how things work. I rely on google searches and the wider 3D printing community for a lot of my info, pulling a little bit from a lot of sources. There aren’t many resources that are complete start to finish guides. For setting up a new printer, you will eaither need to find one from the configuration wizard, or if they don’t have what you needed then you will have to see if you can find someone who has shared the info you need on a forum maybe, or just learn to set it up yourself. Unfortunately, these things aren’t particularly easy

    • @pauljoly7594

      No but mass manufacturing vs custom made, yes. The progress we make in algorithmic/automatic/ai designing + manufacturing process that don't require special tooling like 3D printing, CNC milling, CNC cutting, bending... redefine the cost of custom made and enable a come back. The edge of fdm 3D printing is its low cost, ease of operation and impressive complexity of the parts that for sure enable a non professional to own and use it. But I've seen milling machine for the dental industry that were as easy to operate as a 3D printer.

    • @limbandlattice6487
      @limbandlattice6487 ปีที่แล้ว

      The volume of a prosthetic socket needs to be reduced to apply compression around the limb. Without that, the amputated limb is weight bearing on the cut end, which is painful and dangerous. We shift weight bearing to other areas of the limb by modifying the shape.
