    I have traveled extensively abroad, but this video reminded me that there are wonderful places to see stateside. New Orleans is a lovely city with a rich cultural heritage! I really enjoyed the views you filmed and the accompanying music. P.S. I’m appalled about the recent act of terrorism. Thoughts and prayers to all those affected.

    It’s wonderful to see you, happy holidays! But I am so sorry for your loss. I really enjoy your book reviews, they give me a better perspective on a variety of genres I would probably never get around to sampling. There are so many interesting books to read, for example, There Are Rivers in the Sky. I understand your trepidation in tackling Gabriel Garcia Marquez; I had to read Cien anos de soledad, in Spanish, for a grad level course. Ay yay yay!! Best wishes and Happy New Year to you, Julio and Mr.Leaf! ❤

    I was stationed in Rota (AIMD) with my family from 1984-93 and we lived at #24 Avenedia Principe de Espana. We paid a monthly rent (before the Euro conversion) for a 10Mil a month and electric was 5Mil every 3 months. We paid less than 1Mil a bottle of gas. There was no such thing as WiFi back then. Lol Many memories of Bar Argentina, Tung Ke Lo, and Shorty's fried rice. Also, besides shopping on base, we shopped a lot at Pryca in Puerto de Sta. Maria and Hipercor in Jerez.

    Smart Spain good deal at the Base for the locals. Unlike Gibraltar which was taken by force many years ago. Anyway, Hopefully Rota will stay humble and not overbuilt. In most of Spain its like living in a rural area. Old ways which most of us don't know. Rota sounds like my place. To me the negatives are so minute. As far as the language its like the Cubans hard to understand.

    Almost nothing you recanted applied to my full blooded whippet aside from separation anxiety. My Cyril was a dream…he would wait patiently on the floor until he got permission to jump up on the bed. He would neatly fit into whatever space allotted to him. While I did buy premium food for him, he ate what I gave him which was whatever I was eating….his stomach was not at all sensitive. The vet bills were only for routine shots. My orientation having gotten him as a puppy from a noteworthy breeder was to have him fit into the household rather than the reverse. He was off leash outside from 6 months of age without one single incident. Good luck with your Whippet…he bears little resemblance to our’s. I write this so those considering a Whippet get another experience told.

      Although 30 days seems a standard and reasonable trial I have heard that earlier surgical stimulator sometimes to many months or up to a year to work. This related more to migraine headaches, epilepsy and depression. I have also hear that stimulation through the ear does not work for many and a more powerful and reliable site is the neck. I have been using the sensate which vibrates on the chest for a month and feel no benefits but at least I find it very relaxing and certainly pleasurable. I heard from a neurologist that there is strengthening the vegus nerve as with the sensate and stimulating the nerve which can be stronger such as the neurosym. I also purchased a well known tens machine with ear clip for vegus nerve stimulation and found it quite comfortable and strong effect though trouble keeping the clip attatched, however apparently does an identical job to the neurosym except cost £70 complete.

    I have had Anxiety and Depression for years and have tried a range of methods - Diet/Supplements/Aromathaerpy/Lavender Capsules/Quercitin/NAC these all helped alot but the Vagus Tens Ear Stimulation has been a game changer it resets my Parasympathetic nervous system and I have been using VTens for 3 months now and my levels of fatigue are near zero. When I rest now I feel like I am actually resting it feels like a re-charge. Not like before where no matter how long I rest I felt I have not recharged. I still use my other methods but this one is the most powerful for me. Less is More just twice a day for 2 minutes. You can google the research on vagus Tens Stimulation and see the science behind it. Having worked in a Busy Job and city life I don't feel we have evoled to live in Fight/Flight mode 24/7 which seems to be the default mode of modern life/City Life. I used a alternative for under £50/$60. The Device I use below! Hello. I really enjoyed your videos about the city of Rota in Spain. In February, my entire family, meaning myself, my husband, and our three children, plan to go there for six months. I have a few questions. Is there really a problem with ants? If we rent an apartment or a house, is air conditioning necessary? Since we will arrive in the spring, heating will be essential. Best regards.

    • @miajulio1702
      @miajulio1702 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ewelinapawowska8369 hi! Thanks for your comment. I’m so happy to hear that you’re enjoying the videos. It’s an exciting move for you and your family. It does get quite chilly in the winter/ spring so a house with a heater or buying a little space heater would help a lot. Or just a hoodie and long pants around the house will do it too. But the summer heat is definitely a much bigger concern. An AC is definitely necessary! If your house/ apartment doesn’t come with an AC then buying a little AC unit for the bedrooms and living room is a must in my opinion. The summer heat also brings lots of ants and roaches with it. Especially on the ground level. The roaches can fly to higher levels too though and ants can clearly crawl wherever they want. It’s definitely important to keep all your food in containers and clean the kitchen every single day, so there are no crumbs for critters to feed on. And try to contain food consumption to a specific area so you don’t have to worry about critters in every room. You can also buy traps for both roaches and ants which help a lot.

    I have been to Rota on business and did not experience any of the items that you had mentioned. However, based on the information that you have provided, it would seem that there is absolutely no difference between being at Rota as opposed to Sigonella. The situation with jobs is likely the same deal. While they must employ 70%, the hiring at Sigonella is controlled by locals, meaning that 90% or more of every worker is Sicilian. During my time at Sigonella, this was a constant topic with leadership. Some things are not fixable and have existed for time beyond measure. One thing that I did notice was the selection at the commissary. At Sigonella, we were always out of certain staple items. Both locations have claimed to be the final delivery point from DECA in Germany, only receiving whatever the other installations didn't scoop up.

    I would like to share with you what I’ve tried for anxiety over the years. I’ve tried: 1-Neurofeedback 2- Taurine supplement 3- Aniracetam supplement 4- Meditation 5- HRV (heart rate variability) training 6- Exercise All those interventions did something to help with anxiety or made it worse but never solved it 100%. Now I’m trying Probiotic for the first time since I’ve heard that balancing your gut biome can help with anxiety. I believe people with chronic anxiety must continue the quest of trying all different methods and see what works for them. Also sometimes it could be a combination of those interventions. I’m on a mission to crack the code for anxiety relief for good, once I have achieved a significant success in anxiety relief I wish to setup a TH-cam channel or some platform to share with the world and help people relief their suffering.
