Since I was a child I've wanted to fly a plane. My first lifelike dream of flying was when I was 10 years old. Financial circumstances were extremely difficult most of my life, and I occasionally used birthday money for a toy plane, a model airplane, and eventually X-Plane flight simulators, and now Microsoft Flight Simulator with a nice physical control setup. While I ultimately took the path of web development and design, my youngest brother switched his career to be a pilot.
In this video I capture many neat moments from my first day of flying with my first flight instructor and brother, Ammon. While I've turned a plane twice before, I've never had more than those couple minutes of flying in my life. This was my first time doing it all: taxiing, taking off, flying, zero-gs, two types of stalls, patterns, and landing in both the day and night.
