I don't fight fire anyone, to many politics, truck equipment hundreds of miles to sit and wait, i did it for years, the money isn't worth the aggravation. 2 hours of meeting in the morning and hours of waiting during the day. Just let me plow the line let me do it my way and it won't jump, but nope they are all smarter than everyone else. I have a fire line around the ranch, anything beyond that fk it. Us Forest service are useless and sometimes I think they let it burn on purpose, I've seen many fires i could have stopped in just a few hours.

Axe and shovel are very important. Shovel your tracks clean before loading or dig your kiss my ass goodbye hole. The axe comes in handy for any stuck timber on machine including in the tracks, and it works well for attitude adjustments. 😂😂😂

Yet another season, good to see you're in the mix still. You'd think by now they'd have an exemption for federal transport to fires, as in a blanket exemption for over dimension response to fires. Since we're operating on a don't log or thin anything then wonder why it burns up concept

If I was doing fire work I would have all hoses and tools on hand as well as any other common parts that break and easily repairable

    • @greggaddis4034

Agreed. Spare of every hydrologic hose, fuel filters, hoses, clamps, hand tools, fire curtains, grease gun, big ass j bar, multiple extinguishers, antifreeze (great to have after repairing a blow coolant hose) all in swamper vehicle and available at all times! Be prepared for anything at any time! The more you have to work with the better. Axe and shovel could save your life and your brothers. Best regards. Ty for sharing

Thanks, after seeing what you did I took a rubber hammer and popped the back corner of the bed a few times on both sides. It opened and I sprayed the spring mechanism with WD40 and it works great now.

Hi Don't mean to sound like a Greenie, but It kind of looks like Your job is to cover-up the Phos-check Retardant, I know over here in AU They aren't aloud to use near major Metro water supply storage catchments, doesn't matter for miner Towns or Rural properties, etc.

Don't beat yourself up over it wouldn't have made much difference anyway, those trees are too high and too flammable even with a calm breeze those needles would cross the fire line

Was on this fire 30+ day's. Even had the Alemda Fire where I reside in Southern Oregon start up 6 day's into my 2nd deployment on the complex. Lost my house and my Camaro. Fire activity on this Complex was one to remember. Good job boy's!! Keep up the good work, and that head on a swivel 😎

25 years as an operator and gotta say, this was sad to watch. Horrible operating would be much too nice of a compliment. No understanding of the basic fundamentals let alone how to cut line...pathetic. Looked like a kid who watched a few videos and decided seek and destroy was the best option.

The only reason that fire stopped is because it finally ran out ot fuel after burning 1 million acres. Just like PG&E and the state had planed. It was the only chance they had to fill the lakes. All this modern technology they have now that they did not have 20 years ago and they could not stop this fire? Bullshit.
