Thanks Sean. All Rovner ligatuseem to work well. I have BG super Revelation on clarinet which is very good. I play usually on all saxophones Vandoren Optimum with interchangeable plates although I find I tend to play on the same plate. There are too many ligatures on the market. The old time great players didn’t have all this stuff yet continued to be brilliant. Yes Sean you mentioned that WORD Practice!!! Thanks for your video. God bless you. Bill. Uk 🎷🎷🎷

I don’t use the high f sharp key on my saxophone. My teacher said the high f sharp key is not recommended.

Do you do any online lessons for kids? Have an 11 year old who has played for 3.5 years and wants to learn altissimo.

nothing change, all of these tools are made to milk saxophone enthusiasts; i bought one too, and nothing change apart from the aesthetical/practical (1 screw) aspects... U like them? buy them; are these things a true game changer? Nope. I reccomend to invest more time reserching about mouthpieces and reeds, there is the true difference.

No side extra keys for me I play a Selmer MkVI old school horn but the 1,3,4,6 and side bflat sound great and easy on my alto Thanks. I mostly play tenor and only use the key above ( front high F) the first B key so it's easier on tenor!

Ligatures don’t matter. Reeds are what matter

I've come up playing classical sax and clarinet but in my journey to a more jazzy sound, I'm trying to get the altissimo going. I'm going to enjoy giving your techniques a whirl!

I'm currently working on arranging don sintas version of csardas and 3 and a half minutes in and I'm suddenly able to touch on the double E that it ends on. Thanks!

I've been really struggling with altissimo G - everything else up to high D# fine but not this note, just wouldn't work except for fingerings which were way too difficult to transition through. Your 'crunch' set works great and I find it easy to move up and down through, very excited now to try and get the intonation on my altissimo as good as yours.

I couldn't get the G sharp with anything taught on videos or on the charts. but I managed to get it with pressing 2 keys, the very top one and the lower side key. that is the only thing that works for me for G sharp on my Alto sax. how is that possible? Actually I can descent chromatically from G sharp by keeping the top key and adding the bis key then the A then G and releasing the the side key or pressing it depending on the note. Am i learning the wrong way or what, but seriously I can get those notes otherwise.

I have a Ligature that I dont see many people have. Its called a ligaphone, I believe its French. But it do give an open brighter Sound. Its Weird to look at but helps to give a nice sound.

btw - have you ever come across 2+palmD/5+trill f# for a high E? Works on alto and tenor. I've always done it but can't remember the origin. I'm sure you know the website www.wfg.woodwind.org/sax/sax_alt_4.html right? J:-)
