#HigherEdIsHow: The Importance of Quality Data
มุมมอง 320ปีที่แล้ว
Our system of higher education is data rich, but information poor. Unbeknownst to most people, students and families are missing key information when trying to choose which college to attend and policymakers lack the data necessary to provide insight into a complete picture of higher education outcomes when making decisions about student supports and funding. As but one example, only first-time...

Wow! I wish I would have known about this before I went back to Simpson to get a degree one because I had more than enough units when I left UC Davis! This is so sad because I am now horribly in debt and the degree from Simpson University up here in Redding, did nothing for me, absolutely NOTHING!! All it did was put me in debt, huge debt now because it just keeps growing cuz I can't afford to pay the payments for the exorbitant loan! 😖🫣😮‍💨 Avoid the Simpson aspire program, they do not help you at all. And I hope that this will help some of you, nothing else ask more questions than you even know how to ask! I didn't realize I probably could have pulled two or three degrees when I left UC Davis, but they didn't care. This was in the '80s and they didn't like the idea of a re-entering "mom" rubbing elbows with their ivy League good old boys. Sad... I'm a victim of that good old boy system, several times over, there's no one who can help me I'll just die with his debt. 😤
