The Institute for Higher Education Policy (IHEP) is a nonpartisan nonprofit research and advocacy organization committed to promoting access and success in higher education for all students with a focus on students of color, students from low-income backgrounds, and other historically marginalized populations.
Webinar: Elevating Equitable Value
The Institute for Higher Education Policy and Trellis Strategies hosted a webinar, Elevating Equitable Value: Investigating Economic Outcomes of Postsecondary Education, on September 18th at 2:00 pm EST to uplift a new research series made possible by this tool featuring field-based researchers who leveraged the data to conduct their own research on Hispanic-Serving Institutions, rural serving institutions, and student financial well-being.

Wow! I wish I would have known about this before I went back to Simpson to get a degree one because I had more than enough units when I left UC Davis! This is so sad because I am now horribly in debt and the degree from Simpson University up here in Redding, did nothing for me, absolutely NOTHING!! All it did was put me in debt, huge debt now because it just keeps growing cuz I can't afford to pay the payments for the exorbitant loan! 😖🫣😮💨 Avoid the Simpson aspire program, they do not help you at all. And I hope that this will help some of you, nothing else ask more questions than you even know how to ask! I didn't realize I probably could have pulled two or three degrees when I left UC Davis, but they didn't care. This was in the '80s and they didn't like the idea of a re-entering "mom" rubbing elbows with their ivy League good old boys. Sad... I'm a victim of that good old boy system, several times over, there's no one who can help me I'll just die with his debt. 😤
