I must admit, as someone who studied psych and has a lot of experiences with therapists and people around me who went to therapists (sometimes the same ones as me as it turned out, queer bubbles am I right 🙄)... It's always the ones who never pleased anyone who talk the most about not being able to do shit because "boundaries". It's never the people pleasers who are going around telling people that you can be "kind" while saying no. They should be the ones, but it's almost never them 😂😅. The situation reminds me of the meme "somewhere sometime this week, the most selfish person you know is sitting at their therapists office and the therapist is telling them "it's ok to sometimes prioritize yourself". And honestly, knowing how my ex therapist talked to me, I can see exactly why that classmate of mine (also psych) thought it was completely normal to be the most dismissive ass while putting up a pretense veiled by a lot of psycho-social lingo. Many therapists (and holy shit, not all of them, some are the complete opposite 💀) but really think they always have to be "on the client's side". Which is really not the case and made me switch my therapist, too, lol. Some of them really do believe or tell themselves that for sure, the client is inherently a "good" person and it must have been the other people in the client's life, because a lot of people, including myself, have trouble putting things bluntly when they fucked up 😅. It's always a tip toeing around the subject when bringing it up, concluded with "I think it might have been a bit of an asshole". And they're immediately "No, NO, of course not, you're always so self-critical, it's ok to speak your mind"... Like woman, take a hint... 😅 Most people who have issues have a lifetime of making things seem more favorable, of making excuses for themselves when they fucked up. Most people go to therapy because they have mal-adaptive strategies, meaning they can't interact with their environment in a way so their needs are fulfilled (which isn't their fault but that does only matter to a degree), not because they are "just too nice". Yes, maybe they can't simply say no, doesn't mean they're not passive aggressive as f*ck anyways when they burden themselves. So anyways, thanks for coming to my Ted talk, I just find the whole field increasingly funny the longer I'm in it. So much obliviousness for people who apparently studied that lol. Anyways, real strategies on how to be "kind" and ways to handle difficult talks might be nice, weirdly I almost never see those on the internet. But people, remember, when you just don't give a shit about showing up for someone, just say "boundaries". Because that explains as much as saying nothing really. It's more used as a non-word than anything else these days.

Feeling so defeated: (i studied hard all week, stayed up until 4 am. Woke up at 7 and worked until 4. Created a practice test with. Did it. Checked my answers. Went back and analyzed what i did wrong. All for Nclex :(i think that i was just so tired by the end of it all that i just wanted to be done. I'm hopeful that i can bounce back but right now I just feel like crying💔💔😢😭😔😔💔😞😔💔
