Makes me wonder if it's possible to use Cheat Engine to hack your character to have truly zero magic find. You can't use magic items if it's impossible for them to drop in the first place. Though I imagine magic find doesn't affect shops, so maybe that wouldn't entirely work.

youtube ain't letting me edit my comment for some reason but, didn't they make Andys bugged loot state permanent in some patch some time ago so you don't need to do the travel shenanigans anymore to keep it.. also the tele staff once took me 1,5hrs lmao, I have some idea just how long these runs take and you do wonderful job with your editing!!

I appreciate the chill vibe and your humor, but I don't love you constantly criticizing the new graphics. We can count ourselves lucky, that the remaster is so faithful and well done instead of being yet another cash grab like what they tried to do with warcraft 3 for example. Yes, the original had its charm, but you can't deny that it's heavily dated by now and even though the new graphics don't exactly look like the old ones, I still feel like they are a huge improvement over staring at a 20-year-old game in the current year. Plenty of studios or publishers make a half-assed attempt at reheating their good old stuff instead of coming up with new good stuff, and I'm tired of it. In my eyes, D2R is a break from this less than ideal trend, and I feel like we should be happy about that.

I do not know why you do these things to yourself but, I am glad you do and I'm glad youtube did its job for once and recommed a good channel..

Everyone knows the mall is in the town! ;) A fun video, very enjoyable...even if it was humbling. My first run with the Barb years ago was a grind, even with the help of the townsfolk. GG! (Also, have you thought about doing a "Zoomed" run? Resurrected allows for the up-close-and-personal experience. Thought it'd be nifty to see a playthrough from what is almost a 3rd person perspective. Don't know if it'd be challenging or possible though.)

You do realize that the mana shield spell and damage taken goes to mana from items are not the same thing right? The mana shield spell from a sorceress sacrifices mana in place of health at a base rate of 200% per health damage taken up to a % of the damage hit.

Tip for cheesing Diablo for anyone having trouble with him in general: you can use the walls that poke out at the corners to the north and east to "hide" from some of his ranged attacks depending on the angle. They're basically line-of-sight and get stopped by the terrain. It's nice for getting rushed online or fighting him with minions.

The Ancients actually spawn with random magical gear in addition to their base stats and modifiers. So Madawc there spawned with a % chance to cast frost nova when struck item.

You didnt lose the point from the den of evil quest when you remade your character. You start with zero, so at level 6 you should only have 5 total points but you scale raven back up to 6. So the point was accounted for

/nopickup is a must for me. There's also some launcher arguments I highly recommend, like -skiplogovideo, -enablerespec, and if you want to make offline maps reset, -resetofflinemaps. Wonder if there's a mod that adds the Assassin's boot damage, but for gloves. A properly viable punch barb would be fun.

27:40 Act 2 is the best act and it isnt even close. - It is the most diverse. Desert, tunnels, undergound tomb, harem and palace, and a mindfuck dimension; - Every NPC but Jehren is great; - Quests are almost all tied together in some way. It is one large quest, as opposed to a series of independent ones; - Duriel inspires legitimate fear. That snall chamber is perfect for making players feel like theyre being suffocated.

You have so much patient doing some of these challenges. It would drive me crazy.

I made some sheets and it seems like the optimal DPS is with skill_level=2* total_synergies_level. So with 24 SP, it's lvl 16 dagger with 8 in synergies for 111 DPS instead of 20+4 which is 105 DPS . The game may make one build look weaker than another, because poison DPS are added but poison duration is averaged (for melee ; ranged durations are added instead, but poison dagger is melees :'( ), then DPS is multiplied by duration. so if you have a high-damage, low-duration poison charm, your DPS will increase additively but your duration will decrease, so your total damage will go down. Maybe open wound is better than crushing blow ? Not sure.
