This is not a spark arrester. You need to not only have a USFS approved arrester but the approved system for your bike otherwise you could cause actual damage to your bike along with the risk of a $900 citation and you’ll still be required to get the correct arrester. Rangers and park aides are trained to know what is legal or not. They will not say it’s okay. Spark arrester holes should be no bigger that 0.023”

Great video ! I had 1 , an 82 back in 1986 I got used from friend vvho had a 250 & a 490 he usually rode. It vvas reliable & could pull/climb good in1st gear. I rode it to vvork, 2/3rds along the trails as it vvas more direct & I could start from my backyard . Its good to see you guys still riding a classic as toomany people seemto restore them & then just display them aftervvard. TY for posting & vvishing you many years of safe & fun riding
