Very easy drywall ceiling repair
Sometimes I need to open the drywall ceiling for maintenance. I don't like to drive screws into the ceiling because I am concerned of the air condition flexible duct hoses up there being punctured by the screws. So I was thinking of a way to minimize screws while patching the drywall. I hope this video will inspire you. Good Luck !

How to access volvo V70 fuel pump
My Volvo V70 started smelling from fuel after I already fixed the fuel pump a year ago. I posted the original fix video here th-cam.com/video/2UJYCfGPdeg/w-d-xo.html Now I had to take apart the fuel pump again so I took some photo to share with you. I wish I had these photos the first time I had to access the fuel pump. The Great sound track is by "Broke For Free" at brokeforfree.com/ and the s...
Fuel pump leak fix - quick and cheap
My Volvo V70 started smelling like a gas station. Apparently this is a known issue with few cars. Part of the fuel pump assembly (probably made of Acetal kind of plastic) developed a crack over time and started leaking whenever the pump is working. I went to a professional who asked for about US $800 !!! the pump alone is few hundreds. So I decided to look at it myself as you can see. Finally I...
How To Repair Broken Eyeglasses (Easily)
This is a case where the tiny screw was broken and stuck inside the thread. Instead of loosing these glasses I decided to glue it where the screw is located. This video was shot using my Samsung Galaxy S III smart phone (In case you wondered). The glasses are actually made of a kind of plastic. Policarbonate if I am not wrong.
VOLVO V70 Leaking Fuel Pump
This leak may also be the same on VOLVO S60 or S80. The pump is located under the back seat. It is required to remove the back seat and the floor carpet under the seat in order to gain access to the fuel pump. This video was recorded using my great Samsung Galaxy S III smart phone in case you wondered.

I respect the repair but using expoxy is not fuel resistant, gas can actually seep and eat thru expoxy, permatex gasket maker fuel resistance is the way to go, it’s 100% fuel resistance. Peace

  • @TheBypasser

If anyone has this nowadays, I found a few tricks that will help you out to make it smoother. Get a 5mm Torx wrench head and a small enough driver (I got a somewhat 50mm handle which is perfect for the confined spaces like this, have an extender ready as a brake tube tends to get in the way when dealing with one of the screws). Do not cut the enclosure! Use a heat gun or a blowtorch to soften the seal and carefully cut and scoop it out, it takes time yet you'll end up with an (almost) intact cover. The pins should be soldered probably, yet I had a different issue so just measured the resistance and left them alone. As my issue seems to be a rather common one, here she goes: at times you can get a coolant leak from a hose down there (usually the one coming from the air heater), making the coolant end up on the transmission and evaporating right onto the BCM. There is a vent hole with a moisture-proof insert, yet it will still let he coolant vapors in, shorting the electronics (usually the crystal fails first, as it is the most sensitive to any stray resistance, causing a brief general HS CAN failure and a persistent "BCM NOT CHECKED" state along with the ABS, brakes and MIL lights and a brake failure message. Open the box, rinse with a non-agressive solvent, check the soldering (mine was ok) and the resistance (measure between the leads and the PCB, and, for the common negative connections, between the interconnected pins) - and seal it back (I used a silicone gasket maker that is rated for thick seams).

I don`t understand the reason to unplug and disconnect eveything. I would clean everything with break clean. It dries faster and you have a perfect result. And you don`t have the risk to damage smth. 🤷‍♂ Kind regards from Germany; sorry for my awful English!

I just did this and no more BCM 0070 code, I soldered all the connections too. Had to get my iron really hot but it worked. What I recommend is to use a heat gun and a knife and cut out all the sealer. Work your way around. Once the black sealant is removed, heat up again and cut along with a knife. Then heat a little more a use a pry tool or flat screwdriver and the top will come off alot cleaner.

Thanks for a video! Looked like sealed unit and not possible to open up after the first look. I did manage to open it gently with some patience and heatgun. Used the fine soldering iron tip and the microscope to repair each pin. Happy days :D

    • @joeshow8815

no need to bleed brakes if you do not crack loose anything that circulates the brake fluid. In what he did he never let air into the brake system so no need to bleed.
