    Hello sir, I have a hexahedral multi-block structured mesh in ICEM CFD, I got some results from this mesh. Now, I have to do a mesh independence test. Please tell me which is the correct way to increase the number of mesh elements: Should I 1) Re-mesh the whole geometry with smaller element size 2) increase the number of nodes in each block. 3) increase the scale factor like 1.2 or 1.3 etc....     Ansys gives the warning that you cannot use pressure farfield for non ideal gas and until that BC is changed setup cannot be initialized. How did you get results??

      Air was modelled as an ideal gas in this simulation. You can also use zero shear wall boundary condition.

    Hello! I have a problem with cylindrical support, when I select the face it doesn't work. I don't know what could be the problem, maybe there is a limit on student version, or because it is an .iges file from solidworks Somewhere I saw that I have to select proximity and curvature, but the choosable only the Yes or No. Can anybody help me?

    Hello, do you mind if I have a question to ask you? To mesh, we have to divide the solid into parts. So when adding the next model, how will we have to set up the connection, or will the application automatically understand that they are still tied together? Thank you.

      They bodies that are grouped as a single "part" in geometry do not need any connections. The software already knows that it is the same part (tied together). For multiple parts, you make connections between them. E.g. if you have a nut and a bolt (2 parts total), you will make a connection between them. But you do not need to make any connection between the different bodies of bolt (if you split the bolt in multiple parts in designModeler to get a good mesh)

    Hello. Thank you for the video. I have a question. In the tab of the reference values there are two further spaces: the "Compute from" and the "Reference zone", for which a part of the geometry can be selected. How can I set these information? Thank you.

      "Compute from" option is used to calculate reference values automatically based on a selection (e.g. using value of velocity at inlet as reference value). You can also manually enter the values. The option is just there for ease. Reference zone selection becomes important when you are dealing with problems having multiple frames of references. If your problem only has a single FOR, you don't need to select any.

      @@Ansystant Ok, so I can set the reference values without to set the "Compute from" information. Before seeing your video I only set the "Compute from" to the "Inlet" (velocity inlet). In fact, I was getting very wrong value of cl and cd. This video is very useful. Thank you.
