This channel is about 2 guys trying to restore a 1974 Chevy Camaro and build it from automatic to manual transmission :)
We really have no experience with restoration and never rebuilt from automatic to manual, so this can be an exciting project.

this is a easy right forward job , yes we didn't just any torque wrench on this job lol. so if your are going to do the same job on your car, use a torque wrench , we are just amateur mechanics , so we don't follow the books .

We are filling oil on the gearbox for the first time, but the filling bolt was not coming off easily .

It is a good idea to wear safety glasses when working on things. I once got a hot piece of slag in my eye. It required medical attention.
What's the part number on starter brace?

ANY GOOD MECHANIC IN THE LOS ANGELES AREA I NEED TO DO THIS ON MY 1979 EL CAMINO ...MY MECHANIC CHANGE FLYWHEEL AND STARTER AND STILL DOES THE SAME NOISE WHEN U CRANK IT SOUNDS NASTY......SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

You need too have a microphone closer, can't hear your rambling half the time
Some advice it is imperative that you find the proper length knurled starter bolts and it is imperative that you torque them to spec 25 to 35 ft lbs adding nuts for bolt spacers will cause the starter to walk causing it to not engage properly it is also very important that you use the shims to get the correct gap between the starter teeth and the teeth on the flex plate if you do not follow these procedures it will either ruin the starter gear or ruin the the teeth on the flex plate trust me my 350 ate 4 starters and a flex plate before I learned this lesson.

What about the shims and checking the tolerance. You do not mention the problem of grinding and adding the proper shims.

That’s what I’m saying... American parts store? Lol pipe wrench... I’ve been a plumber 30yrs and I do not have a pipe wrench in my tool box that looks like a ratchet!!... lmao
He's in Europe. They dont exactly have an Auto Zone on every corner.
