    Dude, good review, I liked the way you explained what the amp does. But why do people in the comments jump on the reviewer for every little thing, like they run the company? If someone went on Fender's channel, and said the amp's 'no good, Fender wouldn't throw back any heat at all! 😂

    Hi, how is this amp ar low volume as if I get one it’ll be for home use only. I currently have the positive grid 40 but not really getting along with it so I’ve been considering one of these

    • @1mihayes
      @1mihayes 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi, imho it depends how much low you’re talking about. If you’re practicing it really low volumes, I probably wouldn’t worry about getting this app. Mainly because it is a two speaker app and needs a little bit of volume to push air. It really sounds much better when you’re pushing it a little bit. Although, I don’t think it has to be that loud to sound good, the louder you get the better it sounds. However, it doesn’t have to be as loud as a tube does to sound great... hence the advantage of a solid state amp. But generally speaking, I would say it does sound pretty good at low volumes. You can practice with it without waking the neighbors.

    Hi Marc, i played HB's for years. Teles and strats. With a little work on them they play as good as a mexican fender. But i think there are some differences. Tuners are cheaper and the pickups too. In think a good sound comes from 2 things.... Left and right hands. When Eric Clapton would use a HB in one of his concerts no one would hear a difference. Until they look at the headstock. Greetings from germany Bernd

    You’re playing these settings with a HB, single coil guitar. It all depends how you have your gain settings…plus the clean setting for this amp is smoking for rockabilly. But seeing as how you played one chord for each setting…I’m guessing you’re not going to give rockabilly a shot. Not trying to be a troll, but give your 2,000 viewers the truth about this amp, which is you can take it anywhere and get just about any tone from it. You’re reviewing half the amp. And by the way, I own a beautiful boutique tube amp, and I proclaim that I own this Champion 100 because I bought it with my hard earned money. It’s my first fender amp and I’ve been playing for years. Im proud to own it. Just saying. I reviewed this and didn’t speak a single word the whole time. My opinion doesn’t matter…the tones do.

    • @walshnstuff4872

      Not opposed to rockabilly. But, if I go that route, I go with a tube amp and a guitar a 24 3/4 scale length and P90s. And, you are absolutely correct - one can get just about any tone they want with this amp. It’s incredibly versatile.

But also, for my 50s fender Tele, the 3rd blackface setting (with compression) is perfect for that midrange drive and crunch tone. I guess it depends on what guitar you’re playing. I think with humbuckers the 3 setting might work best as well. This amp is also the perfect pedal platform.
