Can you tell me all the controllers you own?
It's a long list
"Like a mushy d pad" proceeds to touch the clickiest d pad ever made. Your lights are gay and your parents are tired of buying you stuff you don't appreciate.
@@LysergicLemon just because it's a mechanical switch doesn't mean it's not mushy 💀 and I pay for all of my own stuff lil bro
Samsung only 🫤 unfortunately
Picked up a PowerA v3 pro controller from best buy last night. Here are some things I can say about it: The pulling rate has been increased to 1000hz after a recent firmware update that I was prompted to install. I heard some people had problems with their controllers bricking trying to update it but mine worked just fine. The PowerA PC HQ app that I downloaded from powerA's site seems to work, eh, decently. It gives you access to everything you would want to do with the controller quite easily except the software itself is just a lil slow, like tabs overlapping if you switch between them too fast. Another thing about the app is that you should not leave it open when testing your binds. I was reconfiguring the back paddles for COD MW3 and I left the pc hq app minimized with the mapping section open. When I was playing it ended up thinking I was still using the software and was switching around my mappings by what I was doing in the game. But that's a not a big problem really, and it doesn't take long to close and reopen the app. I have never used any controller with the updated hall effect switches but I can tell what you mean by them being able to achieve 0% standing. There is a little fidgeting with this controller if you ever so slightly wobble the joysticks and you also need to increase the deadzone percent in the app because it is defaulted to 0 and that will definitely cause some drift because this controller doesn't have the new hall effect switches. In my PERSONAL opinion, I consider the need for 0% hall effect switches to be not necessary at all. I think me and most people who have played games on a controller are already used to playing on a steadily increasing deadzone as their controller wears (that is if the game you play let's you increase the deadzone or you do it yourself). I feel like having 0% standing control would just make me overflick and be less accurate in games where aiming is key because you would start moving before you really realized you wanted to...but I don't know, I would have to get a controller with the new switches and see if I should eat my words or not. Everything else about the controller seems perfectly fine to me. Little if not no rattling. The mouse click buttons feel great but I have heard complaints about them having large travel distance and with that I sort of agree. It's less so travel distance for me, it's that the buttons requre more pressure to push down than normal controllers. It's the complete opposite with the bumpers though. The bumpers are very sensitive to touch. I haven't had any problems with the triggers or trigger stops either and the RGB around the controller looks amazing. I'll have to use this controller a bit more to see how it performs with increased use and i'll update this comment late, but this is all I have to say, thanks!
Guys for other mobile go to display or sleep and then click never your phone never off

this controller is insane but i still prefer vader 4 pro for me is a way more better but in the future there will be a good debate. Nice review
no gyro -_- it's not even killing the dualsense. But still nice review! that sure bring this brand to my attention. It's great there's market competition in any case. The replaceable sticks are a great idea.

Eh, I already have a Hall Effect controller, the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro. I'm just gonna get myself a Nacon Revolution X Unlimited Xbox controller when it comes out.
I bought it with 10 days returnable no question asked on amazon. Hopefully it works well for me because in my country there is no other wireless xbox controller with hall effect sticks.
i just ordered it now How it compared to xbox controller
It's just as bad if not worse, but if you like it props to you.
@@n64slayer how much worse is it from the standard controller? I am not a pro player I just play casual single player games
@abhijeetdey the joysticks on the controller are really loose, causing drift. Even the potentiometer joysticks on the Xbox controller are better. The wireless on both controllers isn't great, but powerA has better wired performance. I can't recommend either of these controllers tbh.
I just ordered it bcs it had hall effect joystick Otherwise I go for ps5 dualsense

I feel I use the tension rings on the Vader 4 pro too often to ever go back to not having access to it on the fly.

It's horrible
Are you talking about the Pro Wirless with Lumectra?
Yeah, it's even worse than the ops v3
Your Right Brother This Controller is Totally Waste...... Poor in Aiming......
Do they have one for PS4?
No
It's a shame that this controller is so cheaply made, because I really like the design and much prefer it over many of my other pro controllers. The docking station design is just genius, because it's able to store and use the dongle like those 8Bitdo controllers, but it has a much smaller footprint, meaning that it can be safely put inside a carrying case. The metal back buttons feel premium and make plastic back buttons (featured on many controllers) look like cheap crap.
I just got the PowerA ops v3 pro controller, and these are the issues that I've noticed so far: - One of the two extra shoulder buttons has a spring that makes a noise, each time it is held and depressed. - The RT button has a shorter locking distance than the LT button (according to gamepad tester), and I have never had this issue with other controllers that also use trigger stops. - The LT button unlocks full travel in the second trigger stop, unlike the RT button, which is wildly inconsistent. - Only 250Hz in wireless dongle mode, which is 4x less than the advertised 1000Hz. - Controller makes a rattling noise when shaken, because of a loose spring for the right extra shoulder button. - Pressing the home button doesn't bring up the game menu on my PC, even when all my other controllers do so with no issues. (Will continue to update this comment the more I test this controller).
@@StardustLegacyFighter maybe you have to change the deadzone in the settings or calibrate the controller. I did notice the left trigger on mine has a shorter distance on the trigger stop by maybe a mm though.
@@n64slayerNothing to do with the sticks, although they're obviously not good at all. There are several QC issues with my unit, whereas I've had none with every other controller I've ever tried so far. There's no surprise why their reputation is so bad, even when there are some nice things about this controller's design.
@StardustLegacyFighter when you calibrate the controller it calibrated all of the trigger stops as well
@StardustLegacyFighter yeah I agree, the controller looks amazing but performs horribly
@@n64slayerAh I see, will give that a go, thanks. I wonder if that fixes the glitchy home button issue as well, as it seems to be software related. Even if those software related issues get fixed, the right extra shoulder button being loose is so bad, and it honestly feels like cheap crap when compared to the Wolverine V3 Pro.
What is the battery life ? 🙏
Idk but it usually lasts a few days without charging it
@@n64slayer thanks man 👍
i have the powerA pro for my xbox. had it for like 2 months. couple weeks in the LB button snapped. I wont be buying another powerA product. which sucks because the controller itself is much better than the stock xbox controllers
May I ask how it's better than a stock controller? Besides the features they are far worse in design and quality.
The resistance on the shoulder buttons is concerning, as you're not the first one I've heard complaining about this issue.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
I've got a PowerA ops v3 pro coming next week, as Amazon finally got their stock issues sorted out, instead of telling me to wait 3-7 months. I fully expect to send it back, but I'm curious to see just how bad the quality of PowerA controllers actually are.
@@StardustLegacyFighter by far the worst controller I've used in terms of quality, I've never really thought any controllers I've used felt cheap until I used this one. This makes gamesir controllers look good 😭
@@n64slayerLol, I'm planning on trying the T3 Pro sometime next month to see what it's all about.
@@StardustLegacyFighterwhat is the t3 pro? Is it by gamesir?
@@n64slayerYeah, it's the Tarantula by Gamesir, they changed the name again to scare arachnophobes iirc.
Hey I bought this recently to replace my Vader 4 and was wondering how do the thumbsticks feel in comparison to like a DS Edge or DS4 controller? I find that none of these budget controllers really feel as good as those even though they are definitely way more accurate and was just hoping that the thumbsticks didn’t have that weird wall feeling when it crosses the center.
@@bop-y5w I don't use playstation controllers but the reason it may feel stiffer in the middle is because they have actually good recentering for better accuracy unlike a stock controller. This controller has a way lighter center point than the flydigi controllers and you can use the lower tension joysticks to reduce it even more
i had one controller from this brand for xbox. used on my pc updated the software and literally fried the entire thing now i have a fly digi vader 4 absolutely amazing
@@dakotafones8949 lol, they are cheap in every way except price 🤣
Lmao, sounds like PowerA.
Looking at the specs of that G80, it looks very promising. Do you have any idea when you'll have it?
@@ArchieAge within a month, it's currently only pre order
Make sure you are using the newest beta version of MSI Afterburner, I have had some issues loading saves in the old version.
This might need some testing there is probably a catch with that 0.5 ms Ive yet to see stats on this controller yet. For now I’ll stick to my vader 4 pro as they have just patched the deadzone bug controller works like a charm.
You can watch my review of the G6 Pro Starflash and see for yourself 😊
Note: There is no joystick tension, the trigger stops are not mechanical, it has 125hz bluetooth, and the grips are semi rubberized. Also flydigi has fixed 99% of the bugs with the Vader 4 Pro and we no longer have beef 😊
There have been many reports on PowerA's poor build quality for well over 3 years now and unfortunately it seems to continue into their newest line of controllers (Battle Dragon, OPS, Fusion 4). They all use K-Silver JH16 modules that were among the first hall effect modules to hit the market and are very poor quality. Since they have made JH20 modules that are far superior and with the right calibration are the best on the market as seen in my Machenike G6 Pro Star Flash review and incoming G5 Pro v2 review. The JH20 hall modules can achieve a perfect resting value of 0% unlike any other hall effect joysticks. It also seems people have had issues with the software of the OPS v1/v3 and Fusion 4 Pro. Since the battle dragon does not use the same software, no such problems have occurred during my testing. I have also encountered an issue with the shortest trigger stop on my unit. When the left trigger is fully pressed, it doesn't always input despite it working just fine on the right trigger. I know many people will like these PowerA controllers despite these issues, and it would be very appreciated if there was no hate towards myself in the comments.
Thank you for the review I was going to buy it but thought to wait for your review Which one you recommend with hall effects ???
There are really good options right now. I'll just drop a list and you can see for yourself. Controllers I own that i'd recommend: Flydigi Apex 4/vader 4 Pro, Machenike G5 Pro v2/G6 Pro Star Flash. Controllers I don't own that I would give a fair shake: Fantech EOS/Nova Pro, Gulikit KK3 Max, and maybe a slew of gamesir controllers. If your willing to wait I'd look at the Easysmx x20, BigBig Won Blitz 2, and the Thunderobot G80.
@@n64slayer So the thing is I am from India and aside of gamesir, none of options listed are available for me. If I import them, 100% tax aka price of Xbox Elite 2 which is way too much price for a controller for me. Which exact gamesir model are good can you recommend, primary use on pc
@krusty07 I would recommend either the gamesir t4 Kaleid. If you need it for xbox, get the standard kaleid. If you have the budget and want trigger stops, I would get the tarantula. How is it that you can't get any of the other controllers and what kind of controllers can you get there?
@@n64slayeraside of powerA, cosmtic byte and ant esports are the local importers of here that mostly provide shitty products. then there are official xbox and playstation controller in rupees 6,000 (~70usd). tarantula is not available, t4 Kaleid is around 6,367 (~76 usd) and i have other option of T4 Wireless for 4,800(~57 usd) which one shall i go for ???
@@n64slayer My BigBig Won Blitz 2 (TMR) shipped today.
Machenike has one of the worst reputations for their stuff randomly breaking. Saw another video on this and their controller is already broken after a week. The tech on this is cool, unfortunately it is implemented by a trash company.
First off, you can return it. Secondly, I haven't heard anything about quality control on any of there controllers and if you don't belive me, look at Amazon reviews. One instance isn't the end all be all, everyone has a different experience. If that was the case I would say gamesir, flydigi, and PowerA all have terrible qc because I have had issues with every single controller company I've ever bought from. I just don't go on the internet and critique every little thing.
@N64slayer Soo you have had some hiccups with this controller.? Like how defensive you get, on your standpoint, keep up the good time work
@ChiefChorote-gs5tx 🙏🏻 thank you brother
@n64slayer You said that you play competetivly and that you need to try this. I'm sorry but a controller isn't going to make a huge difference with higher poll rates. I doubt most people would be able to tell the difference. Its all about feel rather than getting lost in the polling rate war. If you suck then you suck!
But I don't suck 😭 and it definitely helps, the vader 4 pro has way more delay than this controller
Will there be a review of the g5 pro v2 soon?
Yep
Not even close. Yet.
Lol, I thought you'd be agreement with your little friend here.
I hate the colour scheme on this controller, and much prefer the design on the BigBig Won Blitz 2. However, I think the hot swappable joysticks are definitely game changing, and it should be the standard on all pro controllers, especially when you can easily replace them if shit goes wrong. I'm still happy with the Vader 4 Pro, but it's nice to see some real competition.
@@StardustLegacyFighter the color is way better than any controller I have imo
@n64slayer I really hate white peripherals, they get dirty very quickly and look the absolute worst when stained. Also, it looks out of place on my largely black setup, hence why I've avoided them like the plague.
Do you have any doubleclick issue with any Steam games? I got it and it's so random as if they didn't add a debounce on the buttons in firmware.
Nope

Tbh I’ve been in the market for a couple weeks since my Xbox controller has started to show its age (no stick drift just wear and tear). But I’ve been looking and have found numerous amounts of Hall effect being the new fad which makes sense considering my new keyboard is also HE but there’s nothing that looks good in the 200-400 range it’s all mid range controllers which is fine (welcomed even) but not what I expected tbh. I ordered the Vader 4 pro but I’m tempted to cancel and find something more premium but have no idea where to look and landed here but tbh this doesn’t look much better. Maybe the powerA ops3?

@@XepherionNice, they are amazing controllers I just prefer this controller for fps games. The reason being the 2000hz polling rate and the perfect 0 deadzone. For story games I'll go for the apex 4 because I love the haptic triggers in forza, gta, and borderlands.
@@n64slayer that’s exactly why I wanted the Apex and just figured I’d throw the Vader into the mix so I can use the same charging dock system. ^^
@Sl0th150 I tried buying 4 different apex 3 controllers, and none of them actually came. I was planning on doing a backplate swap on the vader 4 pro so I could have the rubber grips as I hate the plastic because it makes my hands sweat. I still may work on this project, but it requires soldering, which would be easy. The problem is finding a way to mount the back plate to the rest of the controller. I got way off topic but anyway the one I bought came with a stand but I never got it 😭

Vader 4 is the best controller I’ve ever owned. Owned: a scuf, battle beaver, ds edge
@StardustLegacyFighter none of their controllers have 4 rear buttons, the G5 Pro and v2 have a much better back button design and its the best ive used on any controller by far.
