Thanks for the effort - try to balance the audio next time - its up and down like a brides nighty - a pain if trying to listen to it on headphones or when not sat at the computer - goes form super low to breaking the window glass.
I love how Liam said that he would keep singing and making music until he ia 50. And he stood by that l, and is now making some of the best music of his career. He's a true rock star ✨
Oasis were always good. Remarkably consistent in a lot of ways, I think their mum got it right in that documentary. They scaled the heights too quickly, had nowhere to go but down- lost a bit of the hunger for greatness. Wish they were a bit more like Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, a slow climb up to institution-status- they had the tunes. The vibes were off.
Oi get the other album doco's up, twas god's work
As soon as Noel started sharing responsibilities for writing songs and making the band a democracy rather than ruling with an iron fist that’s when the standards dropped and the output got worse.
im crying laughing at 36:11 when liam just stares at the camera during wonderwall 🤣
I love every album
🎉Nice Oasis documentary.
34:50 love Jackanory time with Noel. Thanks✌
0:46 a listening album, he’s not wrong 😂😂😂😂😂
Think the biggest mistake made was letting Gem and Andy write songs, their songs are just not a patch on Noel’s or even Liam’s song and think that’s why their 00s are just nowhere near as good as their 90s albums
Noel probably smoked two pack of cig in his life, snorted three lines...
Worst haircut ever in popular culture, that guy
Manchester wank wank wank !!!!
53:24 epic
Go figure - the album I like the best, gets panned by the fans and later by the band.
I think Standing on the Shoulders of Giants wasn’t the best album, it was a low point for the band. Oasis were a 90s band and times were changing. They still pumped out some great hits in the early 00s but I think they were burned out. Here we are in 2023, Noel and Liam have done amazing things since the split, I would love to seem them retinite. Not start a band again but just talk and do interviews and stuff. Unfortunately I think it will take a family funeral for them to speak to each other
Noel in his post-drugs bored phase and Liam's voice issues. A weird time. Noel had completely given up with the band by this point and was completely going through the motions. Cynical boring Noel singles. Saw them twice in 2002 and think I fell asleep at the second gig.
I think Noel should have recorded "Where Did It All Go Wrong" acoustic with a piano for the album version. The same way he played it on Jool's Holland
Standing on the shoulders of Slade 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😅
Noel-"I can concentrate on singing" forget the fact one of the best singers this country has produced is the lead singer. Noel is such a fucking arrogant twat
Just my observation. When both Bonehead and Guigs left they were worn down by the constant tension between Noel and Liam. Also I agree Guigs was only a marginal bass player and he would never be able to handle the musical changes needed for Oasis to stay current and forward. He didn’t seem to make an effort to improve his craft. Bonehead was excellent, he just got utterly disgusted with the tension.
Noels best haircut ever...i will be screen shotting this for the barber
😂😂😂
Noel blue😍😍😍
This was the era where I fell in love with Oasis and in turn music.
This won't be popular... having seen each incarnation of the band many times...they were miles better live with Gem, Andy, Alan, Zak and Chris.
Oasis makes me feel so much better when I need to feel better...
Can’t believe I’ve only just found this. By far the best sotsog documentary/video I’ve seen. Would love to see one for Dont believe the truth next
what a pair of absolute bellends!!
Overrated tossers the lot of them. Same songs, same tempo, same key same old same old.
You have to respect Bonehead and quigsy both made their money and in Quigs case has never been seen since.
I've almost finished to watch it when I saw in the description it's FANMADE. I was sure it's official. Thank you very much for such a great job. It was a pleasure to watch and listen
Sister psychosis she don’t got a lot to say
F***ing Mega !! Captures they SOTSOG era to perfection. I was lucky enough to see Oasis at Bolton, Reebok Stadium in July 2000. F***ing head nearly exploded when they played Shakermaker. Loved every minute of this. Thankyou !
3:27 Noel stating how Gem has taken the pressure off Noel's lead guitar duties is, in my opinion, the biggest change their sound. From 2000 onwards Noel basically became rhythm guitarist and Oasis songs no longer had any era-defining riff or solos that would get crowds pumped. Gem is competent sure, but lacked the epic aspirational rock n roll lead guitar style that Noel was so good at in the 90s.
I still cannot look at that title and not wince at its glaring grammatical error. I simply cannot. It's so perfectly Liam.
Cmon lads it’s 2023 and it’s time to forgive and forget. For the sake of your fans, your my bucket list.
Adam Clayton is the perfect bass player for a band that wants the songs to work.
theres a million musicians out there who would love to have written what noel did.
masterplan is the best song ever. Noel is the best songwriter ever. Noel is the best backing singer ever. He is up there with the best lead Singers. The edge is close as a backing Singer. Liam is up there as one of the best rock Singers. The chords that noel chose blow the minds of music theorists. As he said. Its about the melodies.
If you say so.
I wish they’d get back together, even just for one album. A double album perhaps. I bet it would be fucking awesome considering the calibre of Liam and Noel’s songwriting these days. It would certainly cheer a lot of people up!
SHITE
People saying how good they were these days and I remember seeing them twice in 3 years (Benicassim and Palacio de Deportes in Madrid )and they were absolutely painful to watch. They were just not a decent band if you'd compare them to the amount of exciting groups coming out with splendid live shows such as Maximo Park, Mars Volta or The International Noise Conspiracy
8:36 best version
Their 3rd best album imo
Their live performances started to go downhill around this time imho
Always thought the Cage instrumental at the very end of the album after that long dumb gap of silence was one of their final awesome studio tracks
I’m reassured that their hit rate fell off badly in the later albums. That’s normal. Even for an extraordinary band. I have a lurking fear that despite the attitude, they’re really a manufactured band, with a covert writing team. I’ve had enough disappointments recently that I don’t want to learn that.
Songbird 🐧🐧🐧
Brilliant video mate … I’ll see ya in the next Oasis Concert for sure .. Oasis
Noel wrote so many great songs in between BHN and HC. Only a few of them made SOTSOG album. If you dig around, then you can make a fantastic revised playlist of this album. It's also probably my favourite tour to listen to in retrospect (HC tour runs it close) ... The 90's shows were the best at the time of course, but looking back, shows like Wembley and Leeds from 2000 and Finsbury Park from 2002 are just FIRE.
