me encanta la 4runner limited
That fucking puddle?
Thank for this video. This confirms my decision to buy a 2023 Limited as my wife's truck. It had everything she wanted in a color that was not disagreeable. I wanted a TRD Offroad, but this Limited was cheaper and she really likes the 4runner. Made it an easy buy.
Sounds like a great decision! Happy trails!
Atrac??
Limited is FULL TIME 4x4 , beat that!
We love that having the AWD of the limited :)
Hey Bret how do I get there
Can this be done in 2 wheel drive. I’m thinking so!
Get out there and show us!
Could you have made it there in 2 wheel drive???
Possibly!
The dog had me crying
I’m that guy! Looking for beginner trails. Thanks. What’s your #2 trail? Thanks ✌🏼
So what you are saying is that a limited with a small lift and better tires is better than the TRD ?
Awesome video! About how long did this excursion take you guys?
This was a very full day, over 12 hours
do you need 4 wheel drive for the trail?
No! Most cars should have no problem.

boy is he ( the owner ) going to be pissed. You never put any rubber stripping between the topper rail and the rack plate....it will leak like a shower during the rain
Do you have the GPX tracks for this?
Based on the wheel spin, you certainly didn’t have ATRAC active for that first obstacle. When ATRAC is active, the free wheel won’t spin continuously. It will repeatedly pulse the brake on the free wheel and transfer power to the other wheel. I didn’t see any of that going on. If it was active, she would have pulled right up that hill without any problem at all. I suspect you had it in 4 LO and did not press the ATRAC button.
It doesn’t like ATrac even had a chance to kick in, you need to stay on steady throttle
The answer is most definitely “No!” 😂
When is the next overland trail?
😁👍
Can you camp here?
Yes!
Is this more of a overland trail VS rubicon type trail?
Correct
they lowered the front lip down too much on the 2014 and on.... lips arent for offroad... they are for $90k 4x4 tahoes that drive on grass once in a while for swim meets. i have a 2013 limited and the front bumper is higher.
About 40 years ago my father and I drove this in his old Ford pick-up. I do not recall it being 4WD, or high clearance, and I don't remember the road tripping us up at all, just slow at times. Is the road worse now? His truck was probably an F150, maybe had good tires, but otherwise was a normal old-school pick-up.
This trail is good for a 2wd with decent tires
Love the Otramm video in the background!
Us too!
I have a 1993 honda civic with 1.5l d15 engine. Do you think if my timing belt fails valves would be ok?
the limited is it lifted
This looks amazing. Is there anyway to share the route?
Sorry, no. Go check out the Shasta-Chappie OHV park though
is it open in the winter? I'll be around there this weekend I want to check it out@@OverlandersHQAdventures
Yes most of it is open some parts may not be passable due to snow. Have fun!@@macdrew77
I ALWAYS see them on the street and never on the trail...so yeah. 4th gen V8 limited here.
Nice rig!
Please stop the music…..
Don't stop the musik🤘🏾🤘🏾
feels like i’m at a dive bar in reno 40 years ago
I actually turned it up to the max LOL
Hey not often you see a yt video from your own hometown! Sick video man!
Hey, thanks!
Don’t know why ppl get the pro when limited is so much better on the road and off road it can still handle anything
Nice trip! I like your Limited set-up! What size are your wheels and tires? You got lift kit or leveling kit?
285/75/17 for the tires, running billstein shocks with springs from dobinsons.
I noticed you cut your front bumper and for sure a little bit in your fender. What did you use to cover underneath after the cut? TIA
Edge stripping from the auto-parts store. @@Sundays_Journey
The Limited is the best do it all 4runner because it has the center diff, which allows on the road AWD. In the other T4Rs you're either RWD or 4WD. If you're mostly on the highway and need a car that can handle snow and ice on the road you want AWD, not 4WD. Dollar for dollar an Off Road or Pro is more capable than a Limited because it has the rear locker, but any T4R is no slouch, and if this is primarily a mountain road car I'd rather have the center locker than the rear.
We have loved it!
Yeah. It's just as good. The Pro is just a Limited with a different paint job and a couple extra springer things. lol.
No, the "limited" is an AWD vehicle. The pro is 4WD, when it is activated.
I recently had a waterpump blow on my 2005 Civic while driving home.. The mechanic said because of the waterpump breaking, it broke my timing too. He assumed my motor was done without doing any tests or tearing apart the timing cover to actually see if the belt is broken or jumped... The car will not turn over... When trying to start it, it makes a humming noise then sounds like "whooshing" noise. The mechanic said air is coming from the intake without actually opening my hood (i was standing beside him)...By him giving this diagnosis without tearing apart the engine and just going off of the sound it makes while trying to start it, give me red flags 🚩🚩 My questions are: 1. If the timing is off/broken, it wont turn over right? I know the timing attaches to the crank... No crank = no starting. But the timing also runs off the waterpump or vice versa... 2. Would the timing have to be done in order to determine damages to valves? 3. If what he says about air going through the intake is right, would that indicate bad valves?
Yea pull the cylinder head off to examine the valves
1. It can still turn over with a broken or out of time belt. It just won't start or will run poorly. The water pump is usually driven off the timing belt but not always. 2. No, but it's usually best to just change the belt and see if that alone fixes it. You have to change the belt anyway. 3. Never heard of someone being able to hear that air is being pushed out the intake but if they knew what it sounded like then yes it would indicate bent valves. Air should only ever be pushed out the exhaust valves and not out the intake valves.

I'm going to be installing the Genesis on my Bronco soon. I had a Genesis on my JK back in 2014 and loved it. What are you running for batteries? Starting battery main and deep cycle auxiliary?
Nice! We are using the Odyssey extremes for both batteries.
These trucks need turbos in them.
Why is that?
😂
@@JC-xc8rx Ever drove one with a Turbocharger ???
Gates are the ultimate enemy where I live (Longview, WA). We are surrounded by some the most beautiful woods in the world and it's nearly all privately owned by timber companies. We have some state land but most of it is surrounded by Weyerhaeuser and others, and they just gate it off and thats that. Its only gotten worse as the years have gone by. Its vey frusterating.
Gates are always tough. Have you checked out any of the Backcountry Discovery Trails in WA? We have done a few sections of it and it was amazing!
Will this fit a 2000 tundra
Yes they have models for full sized trucks.
Looks like fun and new subscribers here!! Happy travels❤Zack & Linda
Thanks for watching :)
This helped me so much. I didnt understand the first step of sliding it under the softtopper aluminum rail.
Great!
Still amazed at my power wagon on that day and what fun with everyone..can't wait to get back out again
Heck yeah!
Beautiful Landcruiser❤️❤️😊
Thank you
Love the little shriek she let out. So satisfying i bet
She was pretty excited to not be stuck :)
On these at least 90% difference is in tires. For controlled testing wheel/tires must be the same on all vehicles. Use the same soft rubber and aggressive tires, outcome will be very close
Agreed!
Awesome video sir. We would like to invite you to do a review video for our Auto LEDs. Is there a way to reach out to you?
We appreciate the offer but those are not the type of videos we do.
