Thank you! ☺💛
Congrats!
Thanks Tony!

Hi friends! I hope you enjoy this little guide on prep for moving to Paris as well as getting started here. I've left some helpful links in the description. You can also use the timestamps to jump around to watch what you'd like. Keep studying! Bon courage! 💛
I don't normally comment on youtube videos but I'm thinking about quitting my job and planning to move to Europe/Paris and came across your videos. I love that you put a lot of effort into the structure of your videos and that you're very articulate as well :) First impressions it seems like you prefer Australia to Paris? As you've listed more cons than pros, I wonder if you've considered moving back to Australia since moving to Paris?
That's really exciting that you're thinking of moving to Europe/Paris! I put three pros and cons each in the video because I wanted to give a balanced view. I do miss Australia but I don't see myself going back anytime soon. Like I said, there's just too many interesting opportunities for growth here in Paris and in Europe. I definitely see myself spending the rest of my 20s here. Beyond that, who knows... Good luck on your journey! 🍀

Such a good video!
Thank you ☺️
so good to have you talking about language learning again Eliza, such an inspiration! this video made me think a lot about the techniques I use to learn french as a portuguese speaker (and how inconsistent I am 😂). congrats!
Thank you so much! Your encouragement means a lot and I'm really glad that the video was helpful. Keep up the good work with your French study. You got this! 🙌
Well, I am French, and have now found at least one foreigner online saying some truths about Paris without sugarcoating it. Unsafe, overpriced, smelly, a lot of trash, grey in the winter, too hot in the summer, Paris is horrible, it's a shitehole, as Frenchman I avoid it like the plague.
Please do not get me started about Paris in the summer. It's terrible here when it's hot!
Omg your'e vegan? You just got 100x cooler :D ❤
I knew Paris before it was a big "global" city, it was really tough then to fit in but it was a lot more authentic...
Have you ever read 'The Creative Act: A Way of Being' by Rick Rubin? Sometimes it's a good idea to rest.👍
I haven't, but I really like his podcast. Thanks for the recommendation! Having a rest might also be just what the doctor ordered. 😊
@@elizasnotes Do you mean the 'Tetragrammaton' or something else? 😀

Hi Eliza! I normally do not leave comments but I really felt connected to your content and can just say TH-cam did a great job recommending me your videos. I’m excited to see more content from you and found funny the things we have in common. Wishing you a great rest of the weekend! Lyvia
@@lyvia.fortuna hi Lyvia! Thanks so much for the sweet comment and the support. It really made my day and it’s nice to hear you feel a connection with the content. I hope you have a lovely rest of the weekend too. ☺️
I mentioned this in the community post for this video but I’ll mention it again here. I filmed this earlier in the week and my feelings have become a bit more resolved since then around feeling lost. Mainly I think because I really like my new job. Have you guys ever experienced creative burnout? Let me know. 🖤🎨

How is a BLT vegan
The tag states “bacon vegetal”, so yeah…it is vegan.
Agree ❤ I'm a vegetarian in Paris and everyone told me too it's gonna be hard but it's been a year and still a vegetarian 😌
That’s so great to hear! Really happy that you’re thriving, from the sounds of it. ❤️
It’s easy to be a vegetarian in Paris, they only use milk and eggs for most dishes
If you and your partner are serious, now is the time to have kids. I've done the career thing and achieved what most men only dream of, but I'm glad I cut it short and made time for family when I was young. I do dream of moving to France now that my kids are grown and having their own kid. I have a modest pension that may allow me to do so. I hope to get a place there and bring my grandkids over for summers.
Bizzare take, what if they don't want to have kids? Their journey is their own
❤❤❤
Liked and shared! Super cool video and so not what I was expecting you to say it was like 😅
Thanks for the support sis 💕

I’ve been to Paris and I loved it. I’m in Chicago right now my hometown. Chicago is one of my favorite cities. The best thing I like about Chicago is the lake.

Comprehensive input is always better than grammar.
that was such a good video, thank u <33
Estou tentando aprender inglês, obrigada pelas dicas!
I have noticed a certain tendency among people learning languages that they like to 'jump from flower to flower'. The point is that the beginnings of learning a language are very simple, exciting and pleasant. Difficulties begin after a few 2-4 months. Suddenly we start to notice that the language is no longer so exciting and that it can become a bit boring. Frustration is growing due to subsequent grammar rules. That's why some people want to feel that thrill again and start learning another language. I happily stayed with one language. I have been learning Chinese for 14 months now. It's a very nice feeling to go back to the first months and see how much progress I have now made. In a month I will take the HSK4 exam, passing it will be a very nice summary of my learning.
👍So true!
It's how the Internet can be an amazing tool for understanding different methods to learn things. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience with us
Very nice video, and very interesting insights!! Thank you for sharing!! I also really agree with the last point, it's very difficult to learn multiple languages, I think it's better for most people to focus only on one language.
I'm watching your video to practice my daily English, hahaha. Thanks :p. I have trouble with English. I don't know why, but it's very difficult for me. Even though it's easier than French (which I'm fluent in) and Portuguese (my native language), I still have trouble with it. PS: I use Grammarly at this moment 🤣
Well this is like listening to the chiropractor who is great because you have been going to her for years!
Hello, I'm new to your TH-cam channel, I liked your videos, I'm Brazilian, I hope for more content from you, thank you very much
Well done video! Thank yoy for your useful insights👍🤝🖖
Thank for the tips I’m a high school Spanish teacher and am always looking for ways to inspire them.
Instant subscribe cos you're a vegan in Paris! Didn't know about the hoodie on Happy Cow. Have the French been rude about your veganism?
Thanks so much! The French haven’t been rude per se. Most of the time people just don’t know what it is in the first place. It does make socialising hard sometimes because a lot of restaurants and cafes won’t have any vegan options. But I’ve had some people be really accommodating too!
Thank you for the video! I've been very lazy recently with shadowing but you've inspired me to pick it up again. I love watching videos of people who are in a higher intermediate / advanced level of their language learning, so would love to see a detailed video of what your goals are and what you are doing with french at the moment (but of course no pressure). (edit) Ooops sorry I just saw your "How I'm Learning French" video. Still, I'm interested in learning about your goals and how they've changed over time. Thanks again!
Thanks so much for the comment! Really glad you liked the video and have found it useful. I've definitely thought about doing a more in-depth video on how I specifically got to B2 in French. I did touch on a lot of the techniques in the How I'm Learning French video, but I think I could probably go over more details about my earlier progress too and how my goals have changed over time. Food for thought! 😊
@@elizasnotes Thank you for your reply! As someone who is an intermediate learner, I'm particularly interested in where you plan to go from here, and how you might be changing your study method as you get more advanced (rather than the journey from beginner to intermediate, im interested in the movement from intermediate to advanced). Of course, this is just because that's what revelevant to me, I'm excited to watch your next video no matter the content. <3
Hey. Watching from Brazil.
