Nice video and good work! Is there any concern with pouring concrete directly up against the foundation? What about if there is stucco on the foundation, is any gap or expansion joint needed? Thanks!
@EricDixon-x6r If the space is open opposite side of the house and the subgrade prep is done right. No, I don't have any concerns pouring up to the house or tying into it. If there is another solid structure opposite of the house you are pouring up to and you are new to subgrade prep. Yes, please use some expansion joint between the concrete and home and opposite side so it can expand/contract/ and heave up and donw during winter. AND DONT TIE INTO THE FOUNDATION LIKE US unless you know what you are doing. We have followed up on most projects. No issues yet with how we do things.
Hi. How much cost would a wrap around (two car garage is already finished) for 1500 sq foot house? Thanks.
@@Jay-s8x7f I can certainly let you know if you have me stop by OR send me pictures with dimensions.
@ what an average price ( plus or minus 3k)
@Jay-s8x7f Email me a rough idea of total square footage, location of project, access to jobsite, elevations of work area to determine fill needed, and pictures. I can send a pretty good rough idea of cost after that.
Hey glad I stumbled upon your channel! I live in the Springs and want to do something similar. Do you need a permit to pour concrete past the sidewalk? Does that classify as a driveway opening therefore requiring the Driveway Cut Application? Would love to work with you on this! Thanks!
Also I believe I live in the same area as this house!
@chanson7768 That's a good question. I've always been under the impression that you need a permit to tear out, repour, or modify city right-of-way. The small area between the curb and sidewalk that isn't an actual apron approach that falls in an odd grey area. No permit available to pull and no good answer from inspectors. Either way it gets poured to a standard above the city requirements for its flatwork. But we are able to pull any necessary AVAILABLE permits for work performed on city property.
@@jmconcretecoloradosprings Thanks for the insight! The gray area definitely makes sense considering neighborhoods that use mountable curbs don’t have actual driveway curb-cuts. Therefore, there’s no clear delineation between the curb and driveway apron besides the right-of-way being concrete. This makes it hard to determine whether the pre-existing “driveway opening” is technically being expanded. Do you think this would legally allow cars to park in front of the newly poured driveway, blocking you in, since it’s technically not the driveway opening? Thanks!
I think it comes down to having good neighbors. I won't park in front of it. But if someone did but still respected the original apron. I would be fine with that. But legally speaking, it's probably still a grey area. Somewhere in the local codes it's says about a max driveway width. But thousands of people go beyond that.
Good job bro! Perfectly done and clean!
@gorotingodoy1937 Thank you, and thanks for watching!
What was the slope? lt looked slightly more that 10%. What is the maximum slope that good finishers can work with for a sidewalk at a private summer lake home? All good ones should be able to handle at least 10%, correct?
@johnhoover249 It was alot that's all I remember. Well, a sidewalk should be no more than 2% cross slope and no more than 5% slope the flow of traffic without steps. But a good finisher should be able to finish concrete upside down if necessary. The quality of finish will be affected, though. Which would be expected.
Quality work, yet again! Thanks for sharing.

@GRUBB-MUDD I want to do alot with the channel. New intro, voice over, some more live shots. Better transitions. I'm just lazy though. Between work and training for fights it doesn't leave much time for anything else.
Looking brisk! Another high quality low slump concrete pour right there! Done right 👍
@@GRUBB-MUDD It was pretty cold. We definitely had to pour a low slump. Hope you are having a good winter.
Wondering why concrete had no vibration to settle the air and stones? Driveway looks good
@TheMomo2nd Not necessary to vibrate flatwork. And thank you.
What print pad did you use on this? Ir was it a roller? Nice job

Looks sharp guys, great job! How do you like the whiteman buggy? I've got one and we love it, as well as their power trowels. Great tools!
@frankflanagan109 Thank you for watching and commenting! I hate to be mean. But anything other than a TORO mud buggy is terrible. I missed both our toro buggies so much. The whiteman controls were jittery and the ride is bumpy. The whiteman is far louder and less stable. It's higher off the ground so it splashes more. But we are grateful the whiteman was available when both of ours were in the shop. My biggest complaint about the TORO is that when the tracks get wet they make it difficult to load on my trailer.
@jmconcretecoloradosprings I hear ya.... I've only rented a Toro 1 or 2 times and have owned our whiteman for years, guess I got use to it. We run a rubber splash guard on it, so it doesn't make too big a mess!
@@frankflanagan109 I won't lie. I started to understand how to make operating it easier after my 4th or 5th rental. It's not a bad machine. But I highly recommend the toro.
Turned out great!
Wha5 up my guy
@frankflanagan109 Thanks you, it was difficult but we knocked it out!

Great work , steps are a hard task
@@ConcreteBoss-m7s They sure are. I never see perfect ones.
Joe, Did you attach the steps to the original foundation?
@@cptkirkh No
I assume it is due to cost but I was wondering why not just do the entire driveway seeing it is not looking good anymore.
The driveway was never a priority for them. I pointed out we should atleast do the area closest to the garage. Like most projects. Cost is the biggest obstacle.
Preciate all your hard work and motivation to keep getting us this great content! Fighting thru the wind!!! 💯💯🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for watching and commenting! We will keep chugging along 1 day at a time.
Did u see west coast was talking smack about my 100 again
@GRUBB-MUDD If you compare my videos to his. We go faster and can lift way more. But it truly does come down to whatever each operator is comfortable running. I've owned both the s70 and the mt100. And everyone that has done the same will always pick the mt100 for safety and efficiency.
@jmconcretecoloradosprings im glad i met u, i would have bought an s70
Which vid and what did he say about the "100"? What is a 100?
@ dude is so narrow minded and he thinks there is only 1 way to do stuff. Mt100 is the machine u stand on
It all depends on how he wants to run things. As long as it gets the job done. It's nice to see him running a small machine. We just did a job where they didn't have either a s70 or an mt100. Eventually Anthony will try the 100 and it will change his mind. It changed mine for sure.
Joe, where did our summer go, it seems you guys just started and here we are in November. Thank you for the vids, you are a nice man.
@home-powersystems7782 Thank you for watching. It went by so fast this year. Old friend told me the 30's go fast the 40's go faster and our 50's go by in a blink of an eye.

Whats the difference with usimg the jumping jack vs the plate compactor?
@SaulsGood The type of soil. The original soil is COHESIVE which needs a rammer. Then the roadbase we bring in is GRANUAL which needs a vibratory plate compactor.
You got some good compaction there in the back, it turned out nice. Joe you rock.
