Martin is really bad with time, now let me base my half assed debunking on Martin keeping time clearly in mind.
I know right... who does this guy think he is XD
The Dornishman’s Wife is actually genderbent. Mance is actually Arthur Dayne, Rhaegar is the DornishWOMAN’s husband. Or Arthur and Elia had a secret thing and Rhaegar is considered a Dornishman by proxy, being born at Summerhall. /s
As to Mormont, he may have know Arthur as Arthur, hence known him for many years. Seems pretty likely given the Green Hand theory about messing around with the Mormonts. As to song, the issue isn't why Mance knows the song, the issue is why does Martin have him sing that song. Martin is alleged to b e giving the reader a clue. And ya, that sounds exactly like a song a Dornishman would sing, do you not know anything about Dorne? They are all about sexy women and vengeance, it's kinda their whole thing. This is like suggesting Irishmen would never sing about drinking. You also missed the point on the knee bending thing, maybe go back and watch the Green Hand video again.
Wait, Wait, Wait... Arthur Dayne and Mance Rayder each have exactly the same number of letters. Coincidence? I think not. Eight of those 11 letters are the same. Coincidence? I think not. If you scratch out the letters from each name that appear also in the other name, what you're left with is MCE and THU. If you rearrange those letters you get THE MCU. There you have it. Arthur Dayne == Mance Rayder == Captain America It's Science!
You got me there 😂
Just came across your channel yesterday I can get jiggy with this
Glad you like the video, ive been on a lil hiatus but I'll eventually be putting out more
Ok, I'm listening to a Sansa Arya dealio here. This does fit a lot better for both characters than simply having one of them kill Lil.
About grain: GRRM has made all of this precisely so that there's not enough food in winter. The wars. Breaking Winterfell's greenhouses. Making the wall super unguarded. Making Kingslanding starve a bit. Feasts and parties ending with deaths. The crow, the wolves and the hawks can scavenge, so they survive. Man generally dies. But the one owning the riverlands and producing grains won't die, or starve, no. He'll set the price and controls the traffic between the North and the South, and he'll be safe from war and safe even from the dead.
Revenge, I agree, makes the most sense as motivation. And it's not Lil style to sit on the throne, with a target on his back, no. Fits him way more to just be the man behind the man, the man wears the crown and risks his neck and gets changed as it seems fit, the man behind the man rules, is safe, is chilling while trying to get married to his 14 year old "niece" which reminds Lil of her mom, making the parallel with puppetman complete and having Lil rule a large amount of land, that's a lot more profitable and strategic than the fingers, and complete his vengeance on both Starks, Tullys while screwin his new Catelyn/Lysa replacement. He'll be surprised when Sansa screws him over, because that girl is a survivor and won't be deceived or exploited like her mom and her aunt, she learned her lessons from first hand experience. I hope she does it, even if it wouldn't fit her as well, though I'd like that scene, I get it's not as interesting as it could be.
I doubt Riverrun is safe enough for Lil's liking, he's bold (as in does moves nobody expects), but he's also risk averse, he'd rather get a slow return on investment that is safe than a sudden return that isn't. It also shows his hand, which he painfully hides from others for a long time. The Lannister point is also good, and Harrenhall would be administered by someone that is under Lil, but a disposable piece or as a temporary deal.
I always thought the sickly kid was Lil Finger's child. The description of the kid matches him as a kid, besides the whole genetics bs. Of course he could be sickly and stuff, but we know lil has been doing some bbw stuff with Lysa for ever. Now what he wants? Maybe more power is the only answer that makes sense. I never bought the whole "lil got over his past", nah, mate, he's cooking something. Notice nobody of the smarter characters seem to know what he's up to, they don't declare his game. I think they also don't accept he's fine either.
0:04 It was me.
I prefer your voice to most of the other ASoIaF youtubers. Great videos random internet guy
Great theory and all, but I’m still pretty sure he used a gun
A net gun? 😂😉
1:44 it should be stated that The Order of The Green Hand think that literally everyone besides the valyrions and the first men are agents of the great other, so that one should be taken with a grain of salt

Hope all is good RIG. Curious if you've seen MichaelTalksAboutStuff's "The Wall Is Full of Weirwoods..." Theory. It's pretty good if you ask me. "...With Others Nailed With Dragonglass" is...questionable, but not the weirdest thing I've heard.
It's so blatantly obvious. Mance Rayder is clearly the knight of the laughing tree.
It is known!
Do we know for sure which direction it was meant to protect? Perhaps its protecting the upper north from southern threats?
i know this is an old video, i keep coming back to it cus i love MST and wish there was more Tad Williams content like this. did you ever finish MST? if so, do you plan on doing more videos on it? that would be amazing
Either the author made errors writing unneccessary - or he is writing an epos where things make sense. We will see which it is, I hope, when the story gets finished.
I don't think it's really an either or? Like the majority of authors make some kind of small errors, but they also still tell coherent stories. I think this is the case for ice 🧊 and fire 🔥. Any author error that may or may not exist aside, the theory itself is untenable and highly contradictory. You ever catch the lil short vid I made on why Mance = Theories all exist?
The thing is your main argument for debunking the theory is the author of this story makes mistakes, gets confused and does not know what the different characters he created are like. Thanks for playing, but it is not convincing me. I think G.R.R. Martin does know what he is doing.
Main argument is that theres a plethora of things that don't work for this theory. Any one would be a fatal flaw as it requires them all to work together but they are all weak links in a broken chain as it turns out. I wouldn't hyper fixate on the mistakes, like yes he makes them and its likely they contributed to the theory but you'd need all pieces in place and working for it to play out and again we have no pieces in place as all are easily disproven. Hope that helps you out a little 🙂
Man that show ending wouldve made so much more sense if Arya had taken the face of zombie Beric and used that to approach NK instead of just falling out of the sky. Like it still wouldn't have been good but at least it wouldve pretended Beric's story and Arya faceless magic were meaningful
It was Howland Reed’s Valerian Steel Shotgun.
Valerian Steel... net?
@@randominternetguyoffical No no. A Shotgun. With Valyrian steel slugs. Everyone knows that lol

Its oddly fitting in a weird kinda way 😂
When Hugh was Jon Arryn's squire, he didn't have a lot of gold. After Jon Arryn died, suddenly hugh was very rich. I have a theory. Littlefinger offers Hugh a lot of gold if he poisioned Jon, Hugh refused but Belish offers him so much and he does it. When Hugh gets all the gold and starts training to become a knight. In fears that Ned might learn too much from Hugh, Littlefinger offers to pay the Mountain a lot of gold if he kills Hugh during the hand tourney, so he kills him. And yes, Petyr would have gotten all this money from his tenure as Robert's master of coin where he bankrupted the econamy on purpose to get his own money.
can i ask why you rely on ai art instead of just using? pictures? or crediting artists? it looks like shit and tells everyone you’re a hack
I really like this angle. I also think it's all heading to peace. Come to think of it my new videos are about certain people choosing peace way earlier that the end. 😉. I think you'll like em
Glad you liked the video! Also saw the art Ygg did for your channel and I loved it cuz my IRL House is House Moon! I will be curious to see your upcoming stuff!
@@randominternetguyoffical your... IRL house? Like ... Your family? 🤣 Did you peep the Arryn banner in the vids?
Oh I found the Ygg art. Very cool!
the books make it very clear in the battle between him and the halfhand that it was only a 'close' fight because qhoren organized for jon to beat him to be accepted by the wildings, and for him to die in the process to avoid the tortuous death that awaited him. the fact that qhoren makes a convincing show of it, and yet despite that is still almost overwhelming jon in the process i think is supposed to show just how raw of a recruit jon actually is. with respect to qhorins death, rattleshirt has the right of it; jon only won because the wolf half-ripped the half-hands leg off. jon is constantly reflecting upon this all the way up to dance of dragons. Mance in the guise of rattleshirt kicks his ass without breaking a sweat and mance was a ranger just like qhorin was. it seems pretty clear that the books are trying to say that while he's a strong swordsman, he's very clearly not on the same level as the rangers or anyone else who has accumulated experience fighting throughout their lives. even when fighting iron emmet he's still only at best a 'match' for the 'young ranger' as the text tells us. seems to me that any interpretation other than that is just a case of not reading the text properly.
I think a lot of it has to do with people retroactively making show Jon into book Jon... but also Jon is the younger male self insert and I think that also plays a role... "I think Ima bad motha fucka.. therefore Jon is too!" XD Not to say he has no skill, he clearly is getting better through hard work but like as dojo goer myself and a armored combat fighter, the raw young dudes are never as good as they think lmao
I don't think the mountain knew that he was being used in a plot. I think littlefinger manipulated the lists to put the two against one another and then paid off either ser hugh's quire (assuming he had one) to put on his armor incorrectly or the smith that made the armor to design certain flaws in it (otherwise why did GRRM specifically mention he had the armor forged specially for the tourney). How did the mountain know about this weakness? Either one of littlefinger's spy's tipped him off or he just likes aiming for the head and struck a lucky blow.
I started reading the books while rewatching the show with my dad, and stuff like this murder are part of why I love this book so far. I love seeing the evidence laid out in the book that clearly points to littlefinger framing tyrion for the attempted assasination of Bran all the way in book 1. I see now why my friend said these books are even better on rereads, because there are details foreshadowing future events all throughout the book. You can see how each event leads to the next and piece together plots and schemes as they happen, and I have a feeling the books get better as I progress.
It really is such a cool book series. There's always just more to love when you go back over it.
Pretty sure it was confirmed that the wall is made up of a bunch of colossal titans.
it is known! XD
One of the few newer characters that I actually think the show casted perfectly. The books describe him as looking and seeming like a kind old grampa, but he's dark and twisted in actuality
To me the quote "chaos is a ladder" just means that there's opportunity in chaos. There a many different types of chaotic situations so I'd have to put it in context but if there's chaos in a work environment some type of solution would need to be found be it a better leader to work out better logistics, a new vendor, chances for promotions to fill other roles etc. In times of instability and financial hardship it could even be a good opportunity for people that aren't struggling to make money off the back of those that are, people who are desperate for a job would work even if it's for less or if the working conditions weren't the best, people may be willing to sell valuables at lower prices, etc.
I think the quote itself makes sense. Like yeah, chaos can be a way to achieve something through confusion or something like that or like you. say chaos can bring about order in the attempt to solve the chaos. But the reason why I don't think that he is a chaotic character is Largely based around how intricate and absolutely well timed and manipulated the war of the five kings had to be (or at least the initial part of it getting the starks and lancasters to fight in the riverlands) Like that has nothing to do with chaos that is coordination overcoming chaos on an unprecedented level. And so for me, I think that while it looks chaotic, because it's a war chaos is not how little finger got that to happen.
@@randominternetguyoffical Oh I definitely wouldn't describe him as a chaotic character. I was merely talking about how I interpreted his comment. I don't think chaos is the only way someone could move up in any environment, but for someone as aware of opportunities and social dynamics I think he can navigate situations very well, chaotic or not.
"A blue griffon" Oh yeah? Blue like the color of Griff and Young Griff's hair?
Howland threw a frog at him
A frog shaped net! 😉
Hugh is first, undeveloped version of Harry, that Littlefinger kill fast, but then GRRM get back to the idea.
I feel there is something up with Mance but some crackhead theory is not the awnser
I have a hard time believing that Bloodraven would be tricked by Varys saying a few things when he can see much of the past and maybe the future.
So what I was thinking about this I had the same Idea for a min, but then I thought about economy of time... Like yeah, he can see tons of stuff, but he cannot be everywhere once like there's just literally no way and if you think about the amount of information that he's not able to absorb it becomes like mind boggling just because of how much happens all over any given world at any time. And we know that blood raven is wrong about stuff, It's like he even has freakouts about his own being wrong (allegedly) So I think that he's maybe being given a little bit too much credit although his power is insane it's not like he can actually control everything or see everything. He is definitely able to be fooled and able to be manipulated that game Is incredibly difficult and a level of deception and deceit that Probably couldn't be accomplished by most people.. But Varys isn't most people... And then if you think about the whole idea of the blackfyres versus the targaryans, There really isn't any reason to harp on it so much and make it such an important part of the overall story through all of the books. If there's not going to be something that comes of it. And really the only thing that could come of it comes out of the Varys camp. So while it's far from What I would consider to be like concrete or provable I think it's a pretty good working theory.
