Master Yi DOUBLE PENTA Kill in ARAM! | Insane Gameplay Highlight
I think you don't get how that future proofing really works. It is not that much about performance. 1. It's about features/capability that games depend on. Since Xbox One/PS4 gen consoles, it is close to console capability. Buying PS6 capability is way to get gaming PC that lasts over 7 years after PS6 is released, until PS7 games are out. 2. It's about power usage. More watts mean more heat, more cooling, more noise... and lower lifespan. If electronics use less watts, they usually lasts longer. And noisy air heater called "PC" does irritate that much. 3. It's about compatibility. Expect that Microsoft is messing with Windows, requiring TPM 3.0, secure boot 5.0 and other non-sense to forcing you to buy new computer without good reason. While games are increasingly compatible with Linux+Steam, it is good idea to have hardware compatible with some free Debian without any hassle to use it until smoke comes out. We don't know yet next gen console specs, need to wait two years until they are out so if someone is buying gaming PC near future, best option would be to optimize idle watts. Like having 750W PSU and target peak watts at most around half of that. nVidia is lost their mojo. Rumors tell that their 16Gb VRAM GPUs use 300W at minimum, so better option is to choose mid range AMD RX 8000 around 250W that are coming soon, with more raytrace capability than lower end models. And for CPU something like Ryzen 7 9700X. PCI express 4.0 NVMe is enough and runs cooler than 5.0. There is very good change that this kind of computer is good for gaming over ten years.
It is a function of longevity and performance, but I understand it's an art rather than a science. I think nividias DLSS is a big deal in the future proofing arena, it's the biggest reason I recommend them. That being said I think FSR is damn good and underrated.
@@darkpurpleshadow3240 In my understanding, FSR is in driver and can be set up on every application, and also it is open sourced so it can also be added everywhere, so I like more AMD way to do that. I'm writing this on over 13 year old gaming PC that was made future proofing in mind, and this has nVidia. Reason was that nVidia had so much better drivers and better support but I don't think this is true anymore. nVidia cards went silly after GTX cards, and while AMD was junk before, they are fixed their issues.
This is my first PC build ever. Going with a 7600x CPU and 7900 xt GPU. Just wanna put as much into the GPU as possible at the moment and get the build built. Then I think I'll get a 9800x3d when prices drop to help with 1 percent lows and with CPU heavy games which I do play
You can't really go wrong with an 7900 XT the next generation of graphics cards so far look a bit disappointing from the leaks.
@@darkpurpleshadow3240 Yeah I'm planning on having the 7900 xt and a solid x3d CPU to last me at least 5 years before upgrading and hopefully there are solid choices then. Here's hoping.
With a card of that power I doubt youll have issues
@Yuttle the area where amd is better than nvidia is in the VRAM some recent titles have been maxing out at over 8gb, since the 7900xt has 20 it should have the legs you need for quite some time
@John-Wolfe yes that's true, Nvidia gimps bram on purpose imo.
Its business making 7800X3d and 9800X3d for the same socket and for different prices is waste of money for them, so from business point it's smart move. For us it's losing ability to chose.
Yea I agree, it's probably a smart business move but I think waiting for 7800x3d stock to dwindle before the 9800x3d release was cheeky.
Waiting for another sub-75W low profile GPU to replace my rtx 3050. But by that point, APUs might be good enough to make that tier of GPUs redundant.
You know what, that isn't even a bad idea.
I knew that this would happen and that's why I dug in with an R7-5800X3D and an RX 7900 XTX. Speaking of which, you say that only nVidia is high-end... so what do you consider my RX 7900 XTX to be, mid-range? That was just a stupid thing to say.
I meant it was the only product worth getting at the high end cause of ray tracing and dlss.
Or, maybe they expected big demand for the 9800X3D, so they fabricated as many as they could, and had no more room in production for 7800X3Ds. Even then, they didn't make enough, it seems, as the 9800X3Ds are sold out.
Possibly
Well lets not forget steam black sales and other digital game store fronts.

@@robhuxtable really appreciate it!
see, when I was building my new PC a few months ago, I just went for the 7950X3D. The 7800X3D wasn't good enough to pay $50 ($100 by time I was ordering parts) more for, and it was only marginally better - sometimes. There are corner cases where the performance delta was wider than marginal, but that's mostly games taking up non-3D cache'd cores - Which doesn't happen often and can be manually tweaked. plus I see use out of having more, faster cores. running a MC server on a windows VM, while playing any game I own over 100fps, and steaming videos without any noticeable impact. I do just enough CPU intensive tasks and own enough CPU dependent games to make it worth while (ignoring the price difference). I now have both at my disposal, as I built my gf a PC not long after, and got it cheap in a mobo/CPU combo sale. The difference wasn't noticeable between the two. Both running Radeon 7900 XT's with 32GB of DDR5 6400. My load times are worse, but that's because I had to put off getting two 4TB SSDs to replace my 8TB HDD to get her PC together.
Honestly I agree with you!
I don't think the AMD Graphics Cards are so bad that there is only Nvidia as an option, it's juts that people only think of Nvidia because they've been so dominant for so long. But I can get an AMD RX 7800 XT for the price of an RTX 4060 Ti, which means I get more performance for the same money if I simply go with AMD on the GPU.
I mean at the highest end it's just Nvidia, in the UK electric costs are quite high so the efficiency will matter too over the long run

In Austria the CPU isn't that bad. It depends which platform or CPU you currently have. One could get a 14600K for 210 bucks or 7600 for even less. completely correct, most AAA games nowadays are just graphics so dont bother playing them at low settings. Wait a year after they are out and all the bugs are fixed. Only problem is....the only thing that is expensive nowadays is graphics cards, even monitors and nvmes are cheaper.
Tbh even CPUs are pretty expensive.
Playing games at 90 FPS and then going to a game that runs at 244hz. I can't even tell there was a difference if it was not for a frame counter telling me.
That’s crazy, I notice a huge difference but I can also tell when something is running 240fps on 240hz but has abysmal 1% lows because then it still feels like I’m running more of a 90fps feel
Yea beyond 60fps it's all the same to me. I have a 144hz monitor and usually just leave it locked 60hz maybe things will change once I get more capable hardware.
High fps doesnt matter for single-player games. You just need around ~90-100fps to have a "smooth" experience. Of course, the more, the better. And it pretty much doesn't matter at all for some more chill games like Elden Ring where the game itself is capped at 60fps anyways. Would recommend playing Lies of P and checking out that buttery smooth higher framerate though lol.
200 fps minimum or I vomit
tbh even games locked at 60 fps dont look bad to me, alot of the time its just getting that at a high res and detail thats difficult.
i was sitting on a i7 930 and GTX 650 for a while when i first started being able to play devil may cry V at the crunchiest of settings wasnt great on the eyes but it was enough so i could play since then i got a 1050 to 1650 to 1070 and now i have a comfortable ryzen 5 5600 and a 4060 and feel perfectly fine with my setup for another year or 2 and even then i'll probably just replace the 4060 for a better GPU mostly because i dont wanna build another pc for till that long of a time has passed
4060 is still good enough for almost anything at 1080p, maybe even 1440p
@darkpurpleshadow3240 probably but I'm still perfectly fine with a 100 fps and 1080p monitor I haven't really used anything higher than 1080p tbf so I'm perfectly comfortable with my current set up at the moment, sure monster hunter wilds says a 4060 is recommended but I wasn't gonna play that anyway so it shouldn't spook me at all.

There is what the hype says you need and then there is what you actually need. Nothing wrong with playing Cyberpunk at a locked 100fps at 1440p Medium without RT on a $1000 build with a $230 monitor. It is a super smooth experience with my 5700X3D. Ultra high framerates are overrated. Consistency is far better than having a wildly fluctuating framerate. Having more detail makes it easier to make hits in a competitive shooter. You see the enemy sooner. I'll never go back to 1080p. But I have also tried 4k and I just don't think it is worth it. Maybe in 5 years it will be the sweet spot just like 1440p is right now. And then I'll upgrade to 4k. It is not worth going into debt for a gaming PC. And I suspect that a lot of younger people building premium PCs today, in the middle of a recession, are buying their PC on high interest rate credit. This is a terrible purchasing decision.
Very true, the hype is usually exaggerated
