You identified a number of incompatibility issues which happens often when mixing brands, especially cheaper brands with more expensive brands. Sometimes saving a few $$$ to forsake hassle free compatibility just isn’t worth it. I used the Corsair 5000X, all fans were Corsair 120mm RGB, and the AIO Cooler Rad was a Corsair H150i iCUE tri-fan…no issues with fitment or orientation of any of the cooling options because it was all Corsair and all designed to work together. Very informative video though with a number of points to consider with my own build; was good to see a similar build as my own (also AORUS Master X, Intel i-9 14900K). 😎😃💻

I updated my bios a few months ago but reading the bios update file on my main SSD instead of using a thumb drive. Thinking about doing another BIOS update, but i was wondering is it more safe to do it on a separate thumb drive? Just wondering why you used a separate thumb drive in the video.

mine came with an APFS FORMATTED sticker on it. My guess is everyone on Windows machines were having this same issue and they've added that sticker.

Nice video, the information about the blinking cursor is great, when you see it for the first time updating the BIOS it's really disturbing! Question: Did you know about the 'update order' when the BIOS version has many new versions? I have a Gigabyte AB350 Gaming-3 in bios version F5, but I don't know if there is any order to update to the latest version.

Contact frame helps but I can't undervolt at all. Even 0.015 will cause instability at 0.030 under it won't boot .. I'm still throttling at hit 100c at 253 200! Pl1 pl2...

I got a different solution. I share it here in case someone nedd it: Disabling USB selective suspend: -In Windows, USB selective suspend can cause issues with USB devices. To disable it: -Open Control Panel. -Go to "Power Options." -Select "Change plan settings" next to your current power plan. -Click on "Change advanced power settings." -Expand the "USB settings" section and then "USB selective suspend setting." -Disable this option for both "On battery" and "Plugged in" if applicable. -Save the changes and restart your computer. -Checking USB power settings: -Make sure there are no power settings that are turning off USB ports. To do this: -Open Device Manager. -Expand the "Universal Serial Bus controllers" section. -Right-click on each "USB Root Hub" and select "Properties." -In the "Power Management" tab, make sure to uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

I have windows on an 970 evo plus 1TB. For no apparent reason it stopped booting. The drive was recognised in the bios but it just wouldn't boot with a missing drive or similar message. The files on the drive were perfectly readable via cmd. I remember reading some nvme drives in general might have issues maintaining data on the boot sector or corruption down to a hard reset. I'm skeptical about that, but I managed to eventually give in and do a reset with windows advanced repair options via an sd card, and selecting to keep all my files when asked. After a health check, all my files were intact, no corruption. Since then I have read up on the Samsung models with firmware issues. It would seem to be not just the 980 and 990 pros with reported issues,although they are the only two models that Samsung have acknowledged. In my case I'll be backing everything up, updating my motherboard bios and hoping for the best. My 970 evo plus is a 2023 03 02 model, made in China (not uncommon as this depends on market, but will always make people wonder about potential quality differences). Currently on 12TB written, Good health and latest firmware 4B2QEXM7 with crystaldiskinfo running. The 970 evo plus with a specific model number seems to have been reported as troublesome for some, even with the same latest firmware, which is similar or shared across different samsung ssds. nascompares noted the models using select firmwares potentially (but not absolutely guaranteed) to be affected, according to what was found on the chiphell forum and other reports. The model of your ssd should be on the back of the ssd box underneath the barcodes, and no doubt on the ssd itself. The best thing you can probably do is just keep an eye on the health of the drive, and to replace if it starts to dip below 100 percent in health too soon. Always backup to another device.

My pcie (the 24 pin one right?) Cable isnt going all the way in to its socket and clicking, and is showing the debug light for VGA (the connector cable to my monitor) should I continue to try and plug it in until it clicks, or just try to power it on over and over with little pushes inbetween, or maybe something else? Been having computer issues non stop for the last 8 hours now, though I'll probably have some kind of solution by the time someone responds, I would like to know what I should do here.

I haven't updated my Bios yet, but stucked at EzFlash trying to read the file when i pressed yes. Is this normal? Or anyway i can restart my pc again? I haven't updated it just stuck reading the file.

i just rebuilt my pc with a fresh install of windows 11 and what hoops you have to jump to get it to install without the drivers for the internet

i though it would clean junk on the drive not literlly deleting it :( what can i do to bring it back??

I have apex encore and 14900KS I downloaded the latest bios and for some reason it won’t find the file it does read the usb flash drive but the files like don’t exist !!! I tried serval usb ports and nothing it’s fat32 the usb flash that came with motherboard I’m out of advices =| I had formula and it worked flawlessly so i don’t know why it’s act like that btw I didn’t installed windows yet
