I love how everyone complained about the Remake version because the "Sephiroth" part was too late in the song, so here it's literally the *first thing you hear.*

This track wasn't ANYWHERE in the official ost release. Which just means it's coming back...

This game disappointed me so much in a lot of aspects, but the music was awesome. Good thing I didn't buy it.

3:30 I thought they will use jenova theme when we fighting jenova lifeclinger then suddenly aerith theme making me almost burst out crying but I hold on to it until I kick sephiroth a** for killing aerith

Love the subtle guitar they added to this version. It really adds a lot, for me at least.

I'm gonna be real, I LOVE this variant, but after the boss battle music we had in the first one, this feels very underwhelming. Maybe it's just me, but this doesn't feel any more epic or even a battle, but a build up to a battle. Perhaps a first phase or second phase? I don't know. I still love this track, don't get me wrong, it is an awesome addition through and through, but after the intensity that was the first game's final battle, and all the moments that one had, I honestly feel like this was weaker. Not bad, still great, but weaker. It's like when you battled the first forms of Dialga and Palkia in Legends Arceus. That theme is great, but it felt more like a prelude, not a battle theme. So, this was fine, just not my favorite and didn't fit "the end" in my opinion.

@4:55 this is when I had to pause and put the controller down. This is when you realize she really is gone. The music solidified the slow reality that she isn’t coming back. Aerith isn’t coming back, forreal this time.

😢 it tears the heart

Everyone did an amazing job arranging this piece. From starting out with a tragic version of Aerith's theme which switches to a more hopeful version as Cloud sees her wake (while still sad as everyone else sees Aerith as having fallen), as well as Sephiroth and Jenova's leitmotifs battling for dominance, before Aerith's theme wins out. Which appears to be a good enough summary of the ending itself.

I refuse to believe that this game is not gonna win soundtracks of the year..

Me one gripe with this fight is the UNSKIPPABLE SCENE when you retry it.

This sounds like Aerith’s Theme and One-Winged Angel/JENOVA are literally fighting over whether she gets to live or die. Sure would have been nice if the game actually _answered_ that question, but I guess cliffhangers gotta hang.

That transition into the Jenova fight back into her theme had me having to pause to regain myself.

Her theme playing at integral parts of the game always took me by surprise and made me gasp. This game is a loving tribute to our flower girl from the slums.
