Another thought that occurred to me is if I were in the position of our Anglian ancestors I would have done the same thing. The Cimbric peninsula was experiencing frequent flooding. So 90% or more {I have actually never been to the old Country}of the British Coast is protected by cliffs. So the Britons vacate what later became East Anglia. I would have taken advantage of the opportunity.

As always I enjoy every episode of the Swan Show. Every Anglo-Saxon kingdom you mention is of interest to me because I am an American whose ancestors came from most parts of England. {not West Wales} For that matter I even have Bernician ancestry. East Anglia is really going to be interesting to me. Many of my ancestors settled the New England colonies during the 16 & 17th century. To my understanding the mass population of New England in Colonial America came from East Anglia. I have even read that my Sir Name came from East Anglia. From what I read about East Anglia's climate that seems logical.

A lesson in mass immigration
