The amount of broken builds that are coming out of the DLC makes me wonder if that was a sort of marketing strategy to anyone who didn’t buy immediately after its release
Its one of the best ways to deal with em but it still takes a stupid amount of time lol. Have you tried using a big lightning incant? I heard they're even faster than pest threads to break stance.
I tried eternal sleep on some Rodrick knight and they just wash it off, so to me is not reliable if low tier enemies like them are invulnerable
Bear in mind "eternal" sleep still wears off after 60 seconds if you dont kill the target. Tested on a giant troll in Weeping Peninsula. Also, it becomes next to useless in NG+ cycles unless you stack Arcane because enemies will simply die to physical damage before it procs.

A little disappointed I’m ngl- I remember reading eternal sleep and immediately thinking “HOLY SHIT AN INSTANT KILL EFFECT” but it’s basically just an elephant tranquilizer. Still good, but meh :|

Pest Thread Spears are likely a little stronger if you can get to them. However, if you're on NG+ or late base game, you likely have access to Ancient Dragon Lightning Strike. Takes these guys down in 2-3 casts if you're lucky, otherwise 3-5 will always do it for me. Crit + repeat. For maximum cheese, add Mimic.
WOW! Okay I think the DLC just gave the playerbase a new way to easily deal with godskin duo.
EasiER, godskins are a joke with normal sleep pots.
Normal sleep pots already let you script the fight as long as your weapon does even a mediocre amount of damage.
Also the talisman st. Trina's smile
Certainly if you've beaten Mogh you can beat Godskin Duo, but maybe this applies to further difficulty increase runs

yes. But after a few seconds, the effect of eternal sleep turns into the effect of normal sleep.
What are ur stats here?
I'm trying to do this on a low level account with +3 weapons for a co-op build. It's taking me 15+ casts to stagger. Is it an issue with scadu fragments? damage? WL? Something I'm missing? I was hoping to just grab a specific tear real fast.
low damage from low level and no fragments might be a problem, try putting golden vow on to see if the buff helps. pest threads really like being buffed

So dual wielding the eternal sleep ones are actually viable as you won't wake up on the extra attack.
How are you procing sleep so easily?
Limit breaker did a good video on that. The ash if war for Trinas sword is actually not bad and does good sleep build-up. If you hit with the sword and mist it's I think over 100 sleep
I really wish Sleep and Madness were useful in PvE. I don't play PvP, so Sleep builds and weapons don't really give me a reason to use them despite how cool they are
Technically speaking, in PvE it ain't that bad if you play around it, especially for smaller enemies, not remembarance bosses. Sadly there are only like 2 of things that have innate sleep in base game and rest are craftables.
Find yanayna's torch, I think it's called, it's so fun to use and it's fp use is so low it's perfect for someone running away. It also can open up a chance for you to do the madness grab attack

From what I've heard sleep and eternal sleep share the same meter, meaning you can use normal sleep since it fills up faster and use eternal for the last hit and proc it.

Sadly didn't keep them permanently asleep. Does allow for more hits before they wake up though.
On the solo godskin apostle in windmill village i put him to sleep permanently with eternal sleep. It was pretty cool, as soon as it happened his boss meter with the name went away and the mini health bar (like ordinary enemy npc) popped up and then i killed him without him waking up

I feel like an eternal sleep build would absolutely trivialize the godskin duo
First try them with it, it's so fucking op, and I didn't buffed myself nor had amazing stats, i just tried and played poorly
So basically wait for the mods to turn eternal sleep into actually eternal.
On some weaker enemies it is eternal until they reapawn, regular wolves for example won't wake up even after dozens of hits.
