One of my earliest memories is when i was 4 years old in the early 90s. My father, sister and I were at Kings Castle Land, on the ferris wheel to be exact, when ominous clouds came rolling in and a surprise lightning storm suddenly inundated the area. They evacuated the park, but somehow we were missed up atop the ferris wheel. So we sat out the entire storm at the very top of the ride. My father and sister were horrified. Me being four years old and knowing no better thought it was the coolest thing 😅 Great memories! Oh how i miss places like this and Welcome Farm in Weymouth. Those quaint attractions are few and far between nowadays.

Wow what memories! I lived in the New Bedford area. We had nearby Lincoln Park, and we would also travel to Kings Castle in Witman with my wife and 2 kids back in the 70's. It was a great little park. Loved the fire breathing dragon. Everyone would be able to see it as you drove by. Those were the days. Glad that I was able to find this video and relive those days. Whatever happened to those days where families could spend time together and it was mostly affordable to all.

I have so many fond memories of King's Castle Land as a child in the early 1980s. I loved the knight that talked and the fire breathing dragons. My favorite ride was the Tilt O Whirl. Thank you Mr. Whitney for the memories!! God bless the Whitney family!

I loved this place as a kid! The last time I went I almost died lol I want on the wipeout kind of ride and obviously I was too small because the restraint did nothing and I kept slipping down. All I remember is my aunt screaming to stop the ride and holding me from flying out! Clearly ride restrictions back then weren’t as strict as they are now. Even still I have the fondest memories at the park. Going through all the little houses!
