Rennsport has a ton of potential. Its a sim I've been really looking forward to trying. There is a lot to like about this sim considering its still only in closed Beta. There is one issue though which means I'm definitely not ready to switch from iracing.

You’re driving very well. I’m amazed
hi,where did you order your alluminium profile and bracket? can you give me a link plz thx
lol way over built for that weak ass wheelbase
ohh, okey dude.
Do you know of you can set the paddles to throttle brake mode like in the fanatec wheels
I actually got a speeding in pit lane doing that at Spa many years ago lol. I found some more touchy than others
My mate has one and having all sorts of issues!... does anyone have a pcb diagram for thr leoxzf1 rim... cheers guys
I was about to comment the same Paddy haha you beat me to it,basically it's a poorly built wheel with corners being cut not acceptable at this price point.
You could set your idle dashboard in simhub to be off, that way when your not in a game the screen and leds would turn off. Good review though I'm debating one. You happy with it now? 😊
Had the same issues with disconnects etc.. no longer use it
i also have the same wheel and no problems at allllll but i mean at alllll does what i should do more then fine
The MOZA FSR formula wheel would be a better buy in my opinion but you do need the MOZA RACING Universal Hub Kit that comes with a USB box for hooking up a wheel direct to the PC and comes with a universal adapter for using with non MOZA wheel bases and in the UK they cost around £35/40 to buy so that does add extra cost.
I don't understand the hate in some of these comments. Rather buy and build something that will last a lifetime rather than be a brokie on a wheelstand.
Exactly! Feels like a lifetime ago I built this rig. I still have it and it now has a Moza R12 on it. Profile was much cheaper back then though, not sure I'd do the same now!
The cockpit seems robust, the computer has little ventilation and next to the radiator, a bad idea.
You do know you can turn radiators off right?
@@alfaracer9876 I didn't know they could be turned off 🤔. sorry if the comment bothered you
have you used all fanatec base, I didn't like the moza r9 why I went with the dd2
I haven't tested the DD2 or DD1. They are quite old tech now, I'd be surprised if they are as good as the newer ones. Due to the issues fanatec have had with orders I can't see me going fanatec again for a long time.
@alfaracer9876 I had the r9 didn't like it had the thurstamster t818 was good for a while then they did firmware updates which made it weaker dd2 might be old tech but still a really good base
Thank you very much sir!
I'll comment just to help your channel. Basically, no (hardly) faster but a bit more consistent. I was tempted to get one but I think I need some magic to get me any faster lol
ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok ok
Awesome job…..i just pieced together my 120/40 rig using the Trak Racer fanatec DD wheel deck and pedal base. All my profile parts arrive tomorrow.
Good video but your explanation would be further better for the audience if you remove all those "ok".
What do you expect for that price? Normally these things with these materials are way more expensive. So they cheap out somewhere
If you come from fanatec that is lighting fast lol
It was probably just a matter of tethering the cable to the QR somehow so any tension is intercepted from getting to the port on the wheel
The stickers aren't great quality... But to be fair abut the offering of stickers they are meant to replicate the Merc F1 wheel or just F1 wheels in gen and not a general layout like a GT car with wipers and such
Anchor the wire….
my problem is i caught my 1440p monitors on sale for 180 a piece but im having to run at 1080p because im getting low framerate on gtx 1080 and the monitors are blurry on 32 inch
Damm stop with that okay
What was the time difference?
hey hey, do you really need the cable? The wheel should work without on the CSL DD?!
For Leoxz wheels you either need to use Bluetooth or USB.
Hey how is your wheel now? I’m currently having usb issues as wheel and have sent an email to their support but haven’t responded yet. Iy has beem a week now
I sent the wheel back for a refund in the end. Keep sending them emails, hopefully you will get an answer soon.
Sound like they're holding Fanatecs old unwanted beer
not okey 😮💨
Great review, I'll be passing on this wheel based on the cable issue and your paper weight theory! Although its priced well, a wheel that cost this much should have dedicated software and not simply rely on 3rd party support. Thanks again!
Thanks for the guide! do you prefer the Moza to Fanatec?
The Moza wheels are far superior. The R12 is better than the CSL DD but it's also more expensive, so maybe not a fair comparison.
@@alfaracer9876im gonna buy a fanatec to my xbox here in black friday, it just better than moza in the cheap end, that least what i think i found out
Midrange? £900? Yikes.
This man must be running a V8 as his FFB motor
I wish! At least it's future proof for when 50Nm wheel bases come out 😂
Great review, I like your style of presenting. I'm interested in the BT one as I want to just swap out wheel quickly without having to plug in USB or anythihng. Only thing I'm not sure is about the quality of the screen as the sport one has lower pixel count than the pro.#
Although having screens on wheels looks great, in reality you probably won't look at them much. You'd probably be ok to get the sport version.
Your pedal deck alone (assuming it is made from3x 4080) at 600mm width, without drilling will cost £80 from kin aluminium and this does not include brackets and bots/nuts so £ 100 all in for that component. My estimate for your rig is about £700/£800 pounds. I think you might be trying to hide the truth from your partner😂
I found the invoice a few months ago for it. Profile used to be super cheap!! Also it's 120/40, not 80/20.
Did you say it cost £200 pounds……….. where did the profile come from? Was it cut by you? I really don’t understand how you can say it cost £200! It is no cheaper to build your own, probably more expensive in my experience. I built mine before brexit and with a reluctance to use unnecessary profile. And it still cost me AT LEAST £500 I would recommend building your own however! Just use some brain power instead of copy the same design as EVERYONE ELSE. You do not need to and should not copy the inverted ‘T’ shape that the whole world think is a good idea.
Built the chassis about 4 years ago. It was from Moedis. That was for just the basic chassis though, I've added a few bits and pieces since. Things were certainly a lot cheaper before Brexit.
Good idea this CSL DD mount. That's the last part I struggle with while building my own and I might just got the solution. I wanted it to be easily tilt able but couldn't figure out how previously
Ok so thank you for sharing and so I wanted to share my thoughts after 16 hours of playing. So ya it sucks and so after the lap 2 I was really starting to hate it then by the 3rd lap it was a Hover craft on ice thats for sure.. Now I thought that this game was going to be super amazing and had high hopes but no it sucks very badly and it made me want to cry that this is what they call a racing sim!!!! Far from it and you'll see when you get to try it.. I have to say that until they fix it I will not play it again and I was so happy when I got my Closed Bata key and thought I will play this game non stop till it comes out and I have to say it sucks... and will not play again until it really changes.. The ESL R1 racing is what I thought this game was going to be but no, and I notice that non of the racer's in the Esports ESL R1 racing never say how crappy this game is and so you'll see when you try it.. Any how much cheers to every one from me little Jazzy The Unicorn girl.
Which model Corbeau seat is that?
😂😂love that start and how it went from sketchy to great very quickly. Also love the title and concept. Good drive, you did what was needed.
Thanks! Yeah it's amazing how quickly things can change 😂
Nice. I was about to buy from Motedis but they're based in Germany meaning I'll have to pay import taxes and £40 shipping fee to get my order posted to Britain. I ordered from KJN instead so I can avoid taxes (but pay VAT instead) and pay a much smaller postage fee of £16.
thanks for the video mate, my time improved a lot! :)
Thanks for the video! I had the exact same problem as you with the disconnecting cable on the XF1 pro about a month ago. It seems like this connector (be it a faulty batch or structurally) is a weak point. I bought the wheel directly from the Leoxz website. I contacted them via email and always had a response within a day, even on the weekends. They straightaway offered to send me a new cable and motherboard and 8 days after initial contact I received both cable and motherboard. (Even more impressive as it was shipped all the way to Europe from China) I've had 0 disconnects with the new cable after driving with it for a month now. My trick is to use an USB extension cable, so there's less tension on the original cable and you can just disconnect the USB extension to turn off the display instead of having to plug-in the (fragile) connector everytime you want to turn some laps. It might not be ideal, but the fact that you can get a formula wheel made out of forged carbon fibre, a screen, magnetic shifters, dual clutch and very decent build quality for (often less than) half the price of some competitors, will come with its downsides. At the moment of writing, the fragile connector has been the only downside for me, and lasted 8 days before it was fixed. Maybe the small diameter would have been another one with larger hands, but I've been able to get used to it. Haven't been able to get used to how good it looks on my simrig however!
I think the delay in response was partly Abruzzi's fault as well. I finally got a refund from them but it took ages and I had to chase them loads. Glad your wheel is now working correctly.
May i ask what usb extension cable you have? ive tried multiple and they either work but disconnect randomly ingame or they just dont detect the wheel at all
@isaacgillissen5491 which usb extension cable do you use? none of mine work properly
WOW, what a clean last sector!! Well done
Thanks! Very easy to overdrive it and get on the power too early.
Thanks buddy!
Mine costs about 10K but I even don’t know myself how the heck I came to that amount of money 😮 guess it’s like 1 by 1 buying and then if you look at the total price it’s crazy
Yeah, it all adds up!
You gonna do the endurance race in Barcelona this weekend?
I'll be racing some VRS sprint there tomorrow hopefully so could do a flying lap round round. I've got Covid at the minute and feeling a bit rough (hence no full track guide).
@alfaracer9876 Get well buddy! See you out there.
Mine has temporary input freezes/lags that make the wheel unpleasant to use (missed shifts and even game freeze sometimes). I tried staying in touch with Simhub and they told me to contact Leoxz and I did. After a few emails, they went from "We will make anything to make your wheel work" to " contact your re-seller". They also sent me a V 1.17 firmware to try and it's now worse, it seems to go in conflict with my Fanatec wheelbase. Also, as you mentioned, my cable connector seems a bit faulty too
I was actually considering this wheel to replace the same Fanatec one as I'm off the Fanatec ecosystem but this has really made me reconsider it - think i'll just usb convert my fanatec wheel now haha thanks for the video mate
Glad it was helpful. I heard back from Abruzzi, apparently the motherboard was faulty. So that's a cable and a motherboard that failed in the short time I had it.
