    If you're looking for torque in the lower RPM range, as well as top-end power, it might be worth swapping the turbo for a supercharger - no lag, and boost at any RPM. Should work great on this engine, and not overly expensive, either.     Cant remember if you already installed a reinforced main shaft but u will need it with all that (2 sexy) power. A mechanic advised me time ago on the fragility of og ones after i've breaked one on my ex 169 re-map 1.3mjt 4x4. Dont know if can fit but a nice solution would be put shaft and differential from a Fiat Sedici 4x4, is not so much longer than a panda and on that veichle was capable of full traction till 60/70 kmh!

    On the engine mount, you need to put a 12mm shim under the rubber section as the whole mount needs to move up. As it is, the rubber is pulling onto the body. Also, the nylocs need to be on the mount on the body, not the engine. Cool build though.

    A simple alcool based defrost liquid would have been: - more quicker - more effective - prevented re-frost - more safe for glass integrity .... it is not a smart solution using gas.

    Swapping it out for a tjet is technically easier however given the driving characteristics you are probably going to be after it's not going to be what you want in how it delivers the power. Might want to consider a modified mjet to give you the lower end range and torque. Won't be much more difficult than a tjet (Mechanically easier, wiring.... There may be challanges.)

      Thanks for the info! What I found was my 100HP engine had most of its power from 4K RPM .. which was too high for me. The T jet kicks in around 1950RPM which is much better so I am going it will be ok for what I need. Will be trail and error but I am committed with this engine set up so will see. I’ve watched all your videos too and they will be helpful !

    Small caveat about the power difference of your 135hp engine and 150hp engine! Both engines from their respective cars are slightly different. The Abarth uses the vl37 ihi turbo and the cams are slightly different compared to the Bravo engine! The Bravo uses the vl36 turbo if I am not mistaken. Some slight differences so you will definitely need to dial in the ECU specifically for your engine setup. On a side note, given that your head was shafted on the A500 TJet, it is a good excuse to throw on the 100HP head (cams mainly). They are slightly more aggressive vs the TJet cams ;)

      Could the compression be too high with the 100HP head? I was told very early 500 Abarths had the same set up as the bravo.. or it’s the most similar to the bravo.. but we shall see !

      @PTP4X4 I'm no wizard when it comes to engines, but the compression is determined mainly by the pistons and bores relative to the head I think. I don't think cams change the compression ratio but I could be wrong. Bravo TJet came as 120hp and 150hp and I think they used the vl35 and vl36 respectively. It's been a long while since I've read those details but I would double check to confirm. I'm 99% certain that the A500 and Bravo TJet engines are different in small ways

    Can you still have air conditioning after a T-Jet swap? Btw i owned a Bravo Sport and the best mod for that 150 hp T-Jet was a Celtic map. Took it from 150 to a 180, but it completely changes the character of the engine. Stock map will stop pulling at 5,5k rpm and really after 5 it's already dead. Celtic map (or any tune really) will make it sing and pull HARD to 6, that's what gives you more power. Remember, it's torque that kills engines, gearboxes and differentials, not power. Really doesnt matter if you have the stock 135hp, 150hp, or 180hp tune, you are still gonna make basically the same (about 250nm) at lower revs. The Bravo was a quick car with even the stock tuned 150hp t-jet, the Panda i bet will be insane with the same amount of power but 25% less weight 😂.

      @@PTP4X4 Ahh, i see, should make the conversion a lot easier not having to deal with the gasses and lines. Mine has and it's been sort of keeping me from seriously thinking about the T-Jet swap. The stock 60hp 1.2 8V is a turtle if you encounter an incline on the motorway, but i feel like the summers have gotten so that it's either lukewarm weather or absolutely scorchin, no in between temperatures anymore i just cannot give up a working A/C voluntarily. When you get the swap done definitely keep the tuning stuff in mind. Subbed to see the next parts (and whatever comes next) ! I'm intrigued by the Bravo Sport ECU playing it's part in this swap, since from what i recall the sport bravos had a sport button (where others had the city button) that changed the engine over to a completely different map. Hopefully there is some way to have the Panda simulate a press of the Sport button somehow, since i remember it adding a lot of sharpness to the throttle. Unless it was on the response from the pedal was quite muted.

    why didnt you replace valves and refresh the head? buying an old engine is buying unknown. huge power losses are due to poor valve seal, which youd need to address if you were refurbing the head...

      New valves were quite expensive so would have ended up costing a fair amount. Hopefully the engine I got will be ok !

    Dont swap engine. Rebuild yours and put a turbo on it. Stock turbo, just lower the compression with bigger head gasket

      The ECU on the panda 100HP is locked and you cannot map them.. so may not work

      @ I’m not saying to get a FT700 (top of line, extremely overkill for anything), but a FT350 probably still more than enough for your usage. One advantage of it it being extremely customizable, you could even have a “driving miss daisy” mode to limit power and a full power mode delivering full power on a switch (or touchscreen). So you could have the more powerful engine and limit it to no break transmission.

    I believe the 1.4 tjet conversion will be easier in a 312 panda than for yours 169.. also it will be better for reliability on a Diesel panda 90hp as those came with the C510 gearbox rated at 200NM of torque which is roughly the torque of your 135hp abarth engine.

      The c510 can easily take over 300nm. You would need to run st least a comp clutch to go over 250 though

    Same thing happened to me with my 100hp… cambelt snapped 2weeks after i bought it. All I did was buy a decoke kit and had an engineer rebuild the head with new valves. 40k km later and it’s still running perfectly…

      @@PTP4X4 Yup was very lucky that the bottom wasn’t damaged. Luckily for me it happened at low speed and very little throttle input. Initially I thought I had just stalled while navigating an intersection.

      This was after. I think the fact I’m running 100HP and have the coupler is why it died!

    an amazing amount of work. Thanks for documenting it all with the links. Makes Pedro un 4x4 único in the world. so much work though for the average Joe. I think I'd go for the 20mm and slightly bigger tyres/wheels due to budget and the fact that in Spain, tyre size above +3% or lift above 3cm requires an engineer's report to get it through an MOT (ITV Spain). The UK is far more 'backward' in that sense, which is great news for 4x4 lovers!!😄

    I just use the car manual at a horizontal angle it is by far much quicker and less likely to cause a cracked window!
