เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 16 ก.ค. 2016
My goal with this channel is to document my outdoor adventures and share some of the amazing experiences I have. I try to include as much information as I think you will need to complete the walks for yourself. I am based Townsville, Queensland however if I find myself elsewhere I'll definitely try and sample something new!

A Guide to Hiking Mt Timbertop | Mansfield | Victoria
Mt Timbertop is a mountain situated between the town of Mansfield and Mt Buller in Victoria's high country. This walk is accessed from the Howqua dirt road (suitable for 2wd) a short 30min drive from Mansfield. The track is 5.4km return with an elevation gain of 425m. It is a well maintained track and would be easily climbed with a moderate level of fitness. Allow 2-4 hours return to complete the walk. The summit offers amazing views in all directions and is well worth the effort! I hope you all enjoy!

Cannabullen Falls Hike | ATHERTON TABLELANDS
มุมมอง 301ปีที่แล้ว
Cannabullen Falls is located deep in the rainforest of Tully Gorge National Park. You'll likely need a 4 x 4 to get there but it's a gentle 12km return hike to the top of the falls. This will take around 4 hours return not including stops and rewards you with spectacular views looking out into the mountains beyond. There is also a second set of falls more suited to swimming a short walk up rive...

Welcome back to another video! Join me on the second part of my Mt Halifax journey as I hike along to Godwin's Peak. This peak offers 360 degree views of the surrounding Paluma National Park and certainly won't dissapoint. If attempting both Mt Halifax and Godwin's Peak in the same day make sure you are adequately prepared as this is a strenuous walk. Alternatively you can camp at the top of Mt...

Heathcote to Waterfall via Karloo Pools and Uloola Falls | Sydney
มุมมอง 2K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a pleasant 10km walk the Royal National Park just south of Sydney. A short 50min to an hour walk (2.5km) from Heathcote Station will bring you to Karloo Pool which is a beautiful natural pool. Karloo Pool is quite a popular spot for people to come and cool off in on a hot day so can get a little busy but there's plenty of room for all. The track in is very well walked and marked however...

Mt Marlow Many Peaks Walk | Pallarenda | Townsville
มุมมอง 8903 ปีที่แล้ว
The many peaks walk, located at Pallarenda in Townsville, is a great loop track showcasing amazing views of Townsville and its surrounds. The track is roughly a 10km loop that takes you along a ridge up to the peak of Mt Marlow which gives an amazing 360 degree view. Almost half of the walk has very little cover so make sure you go prepared for it to be hot and sunny! 0:00 - Cinematic Edit 0:43...
Walsh's Pyramid Hike | GORDONVALE | CAIRNS
มุมมอง 3.3K4 ปีที่แล้ว
A beautiful day hike on the southern side of Cairns. Walsh's Pyramid is a 6.2km return walk with an elevation gain of about 900m. This walk isn't for the faint hearted but it's well worth the walk for the view at the top (or just the sense of achievement if you are unlucky enough to be in clouds). The walk will take around 4 hours return and can be very hot and humid make sure you bring plenty ...
Wallaman Falls Djyinda Walk | Ingham | TROPICAL FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND

Wallaman Falls (268m tall) is the highest, permanent, single drop waterfall in Australia. Located an hour out of Ingham it is perfect for a day trip from Ingham or Townsville. There is a nice camp ground at the top of the falls and there a couple of multiple day hikes that leave from the camp ground as well. There are toilets and a lookout at the Wallaman Falls car park so even if you are unabl...

Alligator Creek Falls Day Hike | Townsville | TROPICAL FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND
มุมมอง 3K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Alligator Creek Falls is a great day hike just south of Townsville. From the car park to the base of the falls is about 8km and to the top of the falls it is another kilometer or so. The walk to the base of the falls would be suitable for almost all levels of fitness and is used by many as a trail run as well. There are great spots to swim at the Day use area, base of the falls and top of the f...

Thanks heaps! It is so beautiful, glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful video thank you !
Stunning !
Cheers much, good accurate info ❤ Be good to mention the beaches kill your feet, because they're made of coral flakes, haha, and always be croc and jellyfish wise
Hey man, you're a natural TH-camr, please keep doing what you're doing? Accurate information as well! But the real top was across from you, lol, I went there, ( ps we call it Djarragun, like the school, my grandma named ), it means orange footed scrub hen's nest Can you please do, Stoney Creek, the waterfall when you enter Goldsborough on the right Just say to the farmer, that I Loncey uncle Frank Royee's nephew, , ( He went to school with my uncle I think ), ask if you could film it, for your TH-cam show, that I've subscribed to? ( Metion Malanbarra, further up the valley? ) Hopefully he says yes, if not at least you had a nice drive, lol Cheers again mate
I agree with you about winter A dewpoint below 10 is much safer for anything even mildly strenuous.
great video, man! did you happen to find many leeches along the track?
Thanks heaps! I appreciate the feedback! I’ve probably done it 5 times over the last 7 years and never seen a leech. I haven’t done it in the last year though
One of townsvilles gems. Just the perfect size for a day out hiking for all levels of fitness.
It sure is, and so close to Townsville!
Another great adventure!
It certainly was!
I went here yesterday!
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
Fitzroy island is amazing beautiful scenery, walks and glorious swimming bay. Most impressed. Worth staying a few nights 😊
Simply enjoyable video my friend, gorgeous shots here! 👏👏
Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed it!
Nice one, great part of the world, thanks for sharing ✌🏻
It’s my pleasure! I hope it helped!
Thanks for keeping it simple and providing relevant information unlike some other travel vloggers.
No worries! Glad you found it useful!
That is brilliant, didn't know about that place, thanks for sharing and I'll go and look at pt 1. Nicely put together too! Good luck with he channel, I know how much work you're putting in to get it going! Subbed ✌🏻
Awesome thanks
You're a machine to climb it in 2 hours mate. I did it today in 5
Haha yeah I was pushing so that I could do Godwins in the same day!
Really beautiful place and a most beautiful video.
Such a beautiful place
Sure is!
Solid walk mate, def giving this a chop 🤙
Thanks heaps! You’ll love it!
Great videos mate, thanks for the info , keen to tackle this one 👌
No worries and all the best with it! So glad I could help!
Is this a strenuous hike? Thinking of taking the kids who are 9 and 7
The kids would make it no worries, the walk isn’t that long at all!
@@HappyHiking ahh good stuff I'll make sure to check it out when we there in a few weeks
Enjoy!
Great drone shots. I have a DJI. Really great hihe nature and landscape. Fantastic video! ;) Have a great time and cheers from germany Marco & Racoon
Well done. Climbed Halifax 30 years ago. VERY different ascent to what I remember
thanks for your videos
thank you, my boy^ for your walking and beautiful views
Hi Happy Hiking! 😁 I love the videos you have done, I just recently did the Mt Halifax walk. Unfortunately I only made it to camp 3. What amazing views from the top, I’m devastated that I was so close yet so far away. Would you ever be interested in getting a group of us together to do some hikes together? I’m female, and not that big. So my family are always worried about me doing walks alone.
I’m glad you enjoy the videos! DM me on Instagram and I’ll get back to you!
Video is brilliant friend, stay safe.
Thanks heaps, you too!
wow your amazing at editing i been trying to do something similar on my channel keep up the great work just subscribed.
very beautiful scenery looks like an amazing hike.
I would definitely recommend it!
Thank you so much for your great video. It so helpful for me.
No worries at all! I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Can you swim at the gorge?
You sure can! When there’s a lot of water flowing over the falls the rocks at the bottom can be super slippery and it can be quite difficult to get down to the water. But if you go when it’s drier it’s easy to get down to the water. Just be prepared for pretty cold water!
Im keen to check this out in the coming week, I dont own a 4wd so can you just drive a regular car to get to the gate where you start the walk?
Yeah any car will make it! It is a dirt road for the last couple of kilometres but it’s definitely accessible in a two wheel drive
hmm, seems pretty decent
Awesome 👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you so much for this video, you’ve done an amazing job of it! I’m in Townsville at the moment tossing up weather I’ll do the climb so this really helps, the view looks amazing and love the random dog that joined you haha
I would highly recommend it! It has rained a little bit lately though so bring salt for leaches and be careful on the slippery rocks!
@@HappyHiking ok good to know, thank you for your help ☺️
Hey mate, I completed Halifax today. I watched your video last night and found it extremely helpful! Keep it up!
Thanks so much Paul!
Some really great shots here and great information! I actually posted a video just like this of the walk at Wallaman over on my channel recently as well! It’s a pretty epic fall!
Thanks heaps Laura! You did a great job of your video too!
Lovely video!! Great camera work and love all the info about the track along the way! New subscriber here can't wait to see more of your videos keep it up!!!
Thanks heaps! I really appreciate it!
i appreciate your energy and your effort to show the beauty of my neighborhood. btw, the Grass Trees used to be called Black Boys, now, due to PC they will probably get a native name soon. So be it, i still think, they look cool also, there are some "earthy" people that claim there is an actual pyramid underneath, build by the Phoenicians. So be it again... thanks for your videos
Great video :)
Great video man! We gotta hiking together!
Definitely man!
The Gopro doesn't do the steepness any justice
It certainly doesn’t!
What camera do you use?
So far all of my videos have been filmed on the GoPro Hero 8 Black but I’ve started to use a Canon 550D as well which will feature in my videos from now on
Thanks for showing off our beautiful North Queensland.
Its not hard to do when there are so many amazing places up here!
nice clip 🔥
🤙🤙
What road do you take to the carpark and the start of the track?
It's all right, found it. Pace Rd.
Mtb edit coming soon?😉
