      We use a RAM 3500 Dual Rear Wheel, Diesel with 8 foot bed. It is equipped with a High-Output Diesel and 4.10 gear ratio on the rear end. A RAM 4500 or Ford F450 would be my choice if doing it again as the 4500/450s have a better turning radius than the 3500/350s.

    I have not purchased the eclipse module but I did notice that if you press and hold the Mira logo on the firefly(it take a while)it switches from Mira to Eclipse? Not sure what that really got me without the module? Also as an FYI if you press and hold ( a long time) on different locations on the fire fly screen it expands to more options.

    • @okletsgorv
      @okletsgorv 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      That long press indicates that the main module you have is compatible and will support the Eclipse. I doubt it provides any functionality without the module. I have the same floor plan but it is a Legacy. We had to replace all 3 bathroom faucets with in the first year. It was still under warranty, however the front bathroom has a chrome Home Depot faucet that we bought because they took forever to ship it out to us. I’m trying to talk my husband into replacing our main master bathroom faucet as I hate those square ones. Your video is really helpful I love your camera, especially the front cap. We had to ask our dealership for one, the screw cap cover. Ours got lost as well as an underneath panel on day 1 of ownership. Now it’s been 3 years full time and we still love our girl!

    It's another parking lot next to the Freeway. All these places call themselves "Resorts"... but but but. It is what it is. At least there appears to be some space between the neighboring rig (Not all that common in St. G). But the Freeway noise is always going to be droning in the background.

    • @okletsgorv
      @okletsgorv 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The term “resort” is used very loosely for sure. We see that all over the country. I don’t particularly remember the road noise at this “resort”. It likely was not as bad as some other places we’ve been at. Most of the transient spots we stay at are close to highways. The other issue we run into lots is train whistles - more challenging to us than road noise. Ya know t/he road noise being constant, it’s easier to get used to - fades in the background. The whistles on the other hand will wake dead in the middle of the night. Oh, well then there are the rumble strips on the highways and the trucks’ exhaust breaks that run a close second!

    The biggest problem with not getting them quickly is that they are looking for a spot to make a nest. Once a nest is in place a female can produce a ton of offspring every 3 weeks. If you trap mom after she’s already had babies, then you have to worry about the babies dying in the nest and smelling, or worse surviving and starting the infestation all over again. I had a few come into my fifth wheel through the slide-out rails that I trapped with glue boards, but one survived and now I can’t get rid of it. I have a trail camera in the basement of the trailer and this last mouse avoids ALL of the traps and bait like it saw his buddy get trapped and now he’s not going to fall for it. I’m parked for the season so I pulled my slides in which I think has trapped the mouse inside, but it’s been over a week and this thing is driving me crazy. It just walks all the way around two snap traps, three glue boards and one electronic zapper trap and it keeps going. I’m using peanut butter, goldfish crackers and caps full of RV antifreeze as baits. It’s either going to starve to death to eventually take the bait. I’ve also sprayed peppermint spray everywhere I think it could be hiding to try to flush it out, but it doesn’t seem to care.

    • @okletsgorv
      @okletsgorv 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Damn.....Good Luck! We had a similar pattern of infestation in a pool house when we had the sticks and bricks. For weeks I was snap trapping 3-5 a couple of times a week. May be time to get a cat! ;)

      @@okletsgorv You can change the band inside of the Peplink InControl application. Let's you change channel and even to a different carrier if another one works better in the location you are in. Did that while Bandielier National Park. Found T-Mobile was better than Verizon which RoamLink had set us in. Reason, Verizon was better on the road, but the site we were in T-Mobile was slightly fast but the connection was solid. Verizon would drop out for several seconds at a time while watching videos. Our Peplink router is the Max Pro BR-1 5G (1st gen) with a Peplink antenna on a MobileMustHave antenna pole. Works great. RoamLink has worked well enough for us we decided against StarLink.

    With the furnace ducts does that area get warm? This is a really good place to work with.

    • @okletsgorv
      @okletsgorv 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes it does. The exposed ductwork does radiant some heat into the area- but there are some substantial gaps and holes between the frame and walls that let cold in as well, so the net effect of the passive heating is probably negligible in the end. .

      Keep on looking for screws. Something has to be holding it in. You can send me photos of what you have an I may be able to guide you. okletsgorv@gmail.com

    I've seen glass cleaner sprayed on your finger to smooth out the RTV and it won't stick.

      Yes. Not sure why I didn't consider that. I do something similar when running chalk.

    Did you have to cut any of the depth of the vinyl? We are in the process of installing this in our 39RKFB now and the new vinyl overhangs the front of the slide more than the carpet did. We didn’t realize it was that much bigger and didn’t make note of where the carpet usually hits when the slide is closed so we don’t know if we need to take any of the depth off the new vinyl. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

      I think I just posted a comment on your FB post on the RS group. You do have to cut the depth, but only at the edge that touches the big window wall. You do not have to cut the depth of the flap - that is the right depth and will overhang properly. You do have to cut the overall width as well of course - equal amount from each side, but doing that does not affect the overhang depth of course.

      No specific reason other than I hadn't done any research on them. Just never considered them.

    Great video. Any idea where i can get those brackets that hold the rear legs of the oven?

      Hello, Thank you for watching! We're glad you watched the video and took the time to comment. I'm not sure where to get those brackets, but I think they are fairly generic. I looked to see if I saved the new ones, but I must have tossed them or misplaced them -- otherwise I would have sent them to you. Here is a link to a generic set I found on Amazon. You can always order them, check them for fit and return them if they don't work out for you. Sorry I can't be of more help. amzn.to/4cbzBYi

      You have to contact your dealer or Riverstone directly for the carpet.

    You can bring boats in but no swimming? That's crazy!

      Yes, it’s kind of counter intuitive. But it’s typical of public water supplies. The logic is that human bacteria and human access is a lot harder to control & police than boats. It’s a well documented perspective through the country as well as other nations.

    I just drove from Battle Pass, through the forest, to Steamboat Springs. It was fabulous! Highly recommended snowy mountain range pass and mirror lake on the way. (About an hour from your location) Interesting, Edison came to Rawlins for an eclipse and got the idea for a light bulb while fishing/fishing line. Just before you get to the continental divide. The roads were just bare, forest, dirt roads but worth getting my car dirty because all the snow melt running into beautiful streams and creeks! Suffice it to say I got some super fabulous photos. When I arrived in Steamboat Springs Colorado, the scene was just as fabulous! There's a beach? That makes me laugh, "The beaches of Cheyenne," subject of country music songs!
